Omg omg omg omg i just wanna bear hug ALL OF YOU!! every stinkin ONE of you!! i wish Tempest and Phantom were on so i could formally thank those two AND Black for making such a badass club that helped me hone my acting skills while i WASNT doing plays and i wanna thank Andx, Jake, Tempest, Proto, Black, Ketodama and Creator for being such AWESOME critiques of my work (fanfic AND Rping) i wanted to thank EVERYONE in RP820 for helping me with character development and telling me when i needed to cut something the f*ck out...just...THANK YOU...i don't honestly think i could've gotten into the Thespian Society if it werent for the CONSTANT drilling i got on RPing from this site...and you guys...so from the bottom of my heart...thanks...i consider you guys like FAMILY for this...

You mean RPs based off of video games? I tried one, it didn't get very far. I started planning another an really only needed to finish the plot, but lost it when the change to the forum was made because it was a PM draft.

How about a multiversal RP...like your character could be based off of anything really. i.e. A Soul Reaper a Ninja a Pirate a Samurai a Demon etc... I know that kind of RP leaves ALOT of room for OPed players if not done properly but...idk maybe someone could pull it off o.o

Well you seem to be looking for a Jake the Sage style RP. One that goes a long while, gives lots of freedom on the apps, and somehow manages to avoid major cases of god-modding. Just with all of the various fantasy worlds of anime and video games for a topic as opposed to a specific idea like Jake's used to doing.

The only problem would be finding ways to meet posting length requirements when you're just fighting. It would be a little ridiculous at some points I'd think. I think I could make one work rather well if every post didn't have to be quite four lines.

I was actually thinking the basic section of RPU might be just the place it could be done.

Not yet unfortunately. There's a bit more of a wait. Once the group gets back to base, discusses some stuff, and then gets going on their journey I can bring you in.

What, you mean like talk about other powers you don't see in the average RP? Well any power based in an emotion other than anger is pretty rare.

Actually, I was talking about discussions on them being used as a set of powers for an rp character, bit w/e. It's just some ideas that someone helped me with for creating an rp character, that's all.

No, just no. Jedi's are way to overpowered, and Nullification just exists to make other people complain.

 

Especially since anyone with it either godmods or is an idiot since if you carry around a pistol you win.

My only real reason for having Force Power for a character is so that I would be able to use Vector Control over longer distances. Nullification is obviously for trolling other rpers.

 

There was one other power that my friend had mentioned, but I can't remember what it is. I do know that there was one other that he mentioned that I decided against, and that's resonance.

True, but it would be in a funny way I think. Of course I'd have to give nullification a downside to be fair, even though it really doesn't have on in the first place, so it would likely be something like having a constant power drain on the user for as long as it's in use. Still, it would be worth it just to have the rp character stand in the way of someones ultimate attack as they remain completely unaffected by it. I don't think it would be a constant use power, but it is one that can definitely com in handy, especially if you use it in such a way that physical hits phase through you as well. I'm still trying to figure out how that part is supposed to work without godmodding though. I know that my friend had explained it to me, I just can't remember exactly what that explanation was supposed to be at the moment.
