is the quality of an RP nowadays dependent upon the RPers or the RP itself? or the owner? or some combination of the three. Cuz back when i did tabletop RPs the burden of quality was mostly on the Dungeon Master and we players just kinda fell into our roles naturally. But with Online RPs it seems the players move things along alot more than the story itself. But maybe that's just my opinion

Maybe for you it is.

Broken! Great to see you again! And I'm glad you're using that banner in your sig! Which reminds me, are you still into Homestuck?

The RP section is pretty much dead thx to Rinne.

Told you guys old is better

And Tempest too! Guess things never change with you, seeing as you still have the Rachel avi. Though she's awesome, so there's no need to change it.

I wish I was here back then. It's annoying to read about how great it was back then, and not being there to see it.

It's not that things were great back then, it was that everyone seemed much more relaxed in the RPs and they were easy to really enjoy. Now it seems like posting in most RPs, even the really good or interesting ones, is a bit of a chore. The RPs, or at least the good ones, now most likely have more thought put into them then most RPs of the past but they don't bring that relaxed feeling with them.

Basically the Advanced Clause has sucked the fun out of RPing here.

Essentially. When it was only an option it was something that everyone could shoot for to have a really exciting RP but if they didn't want to they could have a really relaxed basic RP. Now that it's been the rule, I don't know, it just took something from the forum. I don't if I should say energy or spirt, or even fun as you put Creator but definitely something.

So now, unless you're a noob RPer and you can enjoy the abundance of poorly made yugioh RPs, which is all we seem to have, there isn't much to do.

I could agree on that.

Seriously. I find that in some cases I meet the requirement no problem. Then other times I type what I want to say and then I have to spend the next ten minutes trying to figure out to make it long enough because what I wanted to say wasn't long enough to meet the requirement.

Indeed. I agree that there should be a standard, but not in length. Quality, not quantity.

Except that's not easy to moderate. In general, the length does make for better posts but that's not always the case. But for mods to check quality as opposed to length would require them to follow every RP and read every post in depth which is not something anyone wants to do.

I know, it's just a bit disheartening. There isn't really another method in the end. Length will always be more convenient, since quality checking is too time consuming.

Huh what?

Sorry I was to busy having a life.

It worked! I talk of people getting on and they come.

Don't you pretend, we all know that with YCM and WOW there's no way a person could actually have a life.

@Andx

This statement is false for while I was away I managed to finish my Junior Essay for Science.

I thought homework helped take away from one's life. Which reminds me I have calculus homework to do and about a week to do it in.
