Jake the Sage
Andx is right that it is nearly impossible to tell when a Zelda game enters in the tmeline. And Creaotr, nice try, but Majora's Mask isn't even part of the actual timeline. In fact Majora's Mask was placed in an alternite dimension from Hyrule; I checked
Headmaster Monokuma
@Dane: Many would tell you otherwise on the timeline thing. That's just my take on it. Link's Awakening is considered a direct sequel to some of the games, Oracles I think, Majora to Ocarina. The only ones that seem to break this are the DS ones and the Oracles, and them not by much. Sploda
@JakeSo did I, it takes place in an alternate dimension but it is still part of the timeline (same hero and such or something like that), Nintendo said so. @AndxWell I'm getting this from Nintendo and the Oracle games are just side games, they don't fit in anywhere in the timeline. Link's Awakening is actually a direct sequel to Link to the Past if I'm not mistaken. @Creator: That's the fun part of the time line theories though. They always try to throw in the games you can't hope to include, namely the Oracles.
Jake the Sage
Meh well yes it is the same character, I mean come on it's Link, but part of the timeline is kinda hard to place since he isn't . . . you know . . . in Hyrule
Sploda
In other news, Link is a chronic Smoker as seen here: @JakeNintendo guys said so. Trust me I spent months tracking all the info down.

Nintendo must have one to let this whole thing go on Well, he was supposedly sailing back to Hyrule in LA, so I assumed that the Oracles would make the most sense. Andx
@Creator: lol, I've seen that pic before. That's what some people honestly want out of Link, for him to become a man in the next game. That pic is often linked to in response. @Dane: They're laughing at us as we speak, trying to figure out something they know is impossible. And this brings us right back to the issue of not being able to tell where what fits in. lol

Sploda
It is said that Skyward sword comes BEFORE Ocarina of Time and it is supposed to explain how the Master Sword ended up in the Pedestal. MUST HAVE!
Andx
I swear, I want Skyward Sword to give us SOMETHING to build off of.Just as long as you're prepared for that something to be more mysteries. Has anyone else heard rumors that Skywards Sword is supposed to be a prequel to Ocarina? I heard it from a friend but neither of us really believe it, it just doesn't seem to make much sense. EDIT: And Creator ninja's me with the answer to my question.

Sploda
Yeah and then it explains the sages and the Master Sword Pedestal, and I've even heard rumors that you get to meet Link's Mother before he ends up in Kokiri Village.

Jake the Sage
Ah yeah! Hye was supposed to be "looking for someone important" to him. So it COULD be his mother *nods head*
Sploda
Link as he would be in Kingdom Hearts, and honestly who wouldn't want to run around with Link in their party killing Heartless? @Jake>.> DUH! So obviously she left him in Kokiri Village and then went to Termina, and then he never found her. OR MAYBE IT WILL BE EXPLAINED IN THE NEW GAME! Altαir
I thought Nintendo said there wasn't any timeline at the moment, though they did enjoy the many fans have created. Honestly, Ocarina is not first. Ocarina is, though, where my timeline splits. I thought he was looking for Navi. >.>
Sploda
@CephusUntil Skyward Sword comes out, Ocarina of Time is, as stated by Nintendo in 7 interviews, the beginning of the Timeline.
Jake the Sage
I thought Nintendo said there wasn't any timeline at the moment, though they did enjoy the many fans have created. They did. The creators of the Zelda games have styated time and time again that there is no real timeline. But that doesn't stop us fans from trying to make one ^^

Altαir
It's very symbolic, but it better be good. Story-wise. My expectations for this game are very high. Just like my mother. It seems the only game the majority of the fanbase seems to really care about is Ocarina of Time.
