The AC doesn't make it so that RP's can't be fun. It makes RPers step up their skills. But it doesn't work on YCM because the worse RPers don't want to have to put thought into their posts.

 

Doubt that, I don't notice much rules in the AC besides how not to be a complete idiot.

 

The problem is, even knowing how not to be one, people are. AC would be perfect if people were smart.

The devil on his shoulder told Glaedrile to quickly dispatch of the two in the road, loot them, and then run again through the world. His conscience told him it’d be foolish. His wits also encouraged this, he knew they’d be missed soon and the security of the area would be upped, especially due to the elven arrows in them supporting the fact it’d be unlikely a human to use such light arrows. He’d be a fugitive, which he already was, but to the humans as well. He didn’t need that, and under his alias he got on well with humans.

 

The half-elf was observing the conversation from atop a tree not so far, daring not to move in case of alerting them of his presence. He didn’t need to hide, but he was curious of the parts of conversation he’d picked up and thought it may not have been shared with him so easily anyway. He tucked his hair behind his ears to listen clearly, the inner-elf allowing him to pick it up as if they were just feet away. However it also meant any forest rustles and bird calls would also be amplified, meaning the conversation wasn’t necessarily easier to follow.

 

He put his bow onto his back, hanging in unison with his tightly packed quiver. Glaedrile was using his other hand to clutch onto the tree as his feet were perched upon a branch. He threw his hair in front of his elven ears again to hide them, giving him a human-esque appearance once again. He thought it’d be best to leave, maybe even travel into town or just make his way through the wilderness.

 

He stretched his foot down one branch and it made no sound. He balanced himself on the fairly wide branch, before clambering down to the next one, and the next one, being quiet so as to not disturb the pair in the road. The other trees provided good camouflage for the descending half-elf.

 

Glaedrile was a branch roughly fifteen feet or so from the ground, and placed his left foot down. A little too much pressure and the branch creaked loudly. Glaedrile winced in fear he’d be found, but thought it’d be ok. He carried on, but his full force made the branch completely break, sending the half-elf tumbling down. The impact sent his arrows flying loosely from his quiver and made every bone in his body seem to ache. He cried in pain, and realized his subtle escape was a flawed fall. Nevertheless, one thing was certain.

 

He was probably most definitely heard by the pair in the road

Heres the RP I came up with, old idea made sexy.

 

Rules and things:

First and most importantly have fun!

 

NO GOD MODDING it ruins the fun and it will get you Kicked so don't try it.

 

No power playing, also no fun and it just might get you kicked

 

Meta gaming, don't, just- just, don't. Seriously you'll get exactly one warning.

 

Relationships if you can find the time go ahead, but keep it pg-13 mk?

 

Powers: each of our characters may have one power and only one. However the limitations of your ability are up to your imagination and my digression of course. That is to say that you get one, ability and it's up to you to be creative enough to apply it effectively to the situation.

 

Post length I don't particularly care if your posts are long or not just so long as they're good and at least 4 lines. I'd prefer good grammar but in my opinion content is much more important.

 

I am the GM and what I say goes you don't like it don't submit an app.

 

I will be the GM however it will be up to you as the players to keep things rolling, so I expect everyone who signs up to be active.

In the year 4875 CE a new world government came to power. The United World Federation of States, or UWFS, united all of the world’s countries. However they were not the first and as with all times when power changes hands the rise of the federation was plagued by unrest and then a bloody civil war in which meta-humans were, for the first time, used effectively as an organized military force. The war ended in the absolute rule of the federation chairman.

 

For a time the chairman, and those who followed him, ruled fairly. By the year 4897 CE, however, the Federation's ruling class had fallen prey to the old adage that absolute power corrupts absolutely. It was around this time that the, now oppressive, government began to fear the very meta-humans who had helped to create it. Public opinion, however, saved Meta-humans from a bloody witch hunt. Seeing people like themselves, albeit with a few advantages, fighting the good fight, and all in stark contrast to the government’s corrupt and deficient system of law and order, stirred happiness and pride in the world’s population. Seeing that the people would rise up in a bloody revolt if they attempted to move on the ever growing superhero population, the Federation was forced to watch as the number of Metas climbed steadily.

 

By 5497 CE the Meta population accounted for one third of the world’s population, but trouble was brewing. Some of the world’s most powerful superheroes were disappearing. By 5499 CE the first of the missing heroes returned but their return was not a reason for celebration. The returning heroes were no longer heroes. Something had changed. Upon their return the formerly missing heroes immediately began a crime spree. It was then that an enigmatic new villain known only as The Surgeon stepped forward and claimed that he was the cause for the abrupt change in the worlds most beloved and, more notably, powerful heroes. This sowed horror in the people of the world, and gave the Federation leaders a long awaited opportunity. With the sudden drop in meta-human popularity the government began press ganging supers into the specialized meta-human military unit that had won victory in the civil war and sent all those who refused to serve to concentration camps. This sent ripples of panic and outrage through the Meta population and, as the situation grew worse, a resistance organization was formed to fight the new brand of oppression that was being forced upon them.

 

Our story begins in one of the concentration camps. Our characters will be new arrivals when the resistance, hoping to add to their numbers, attacks.

 

 

[As an aside, I will be taking a more traditional position as a GM, describing events and places, so as I said above it’s down to the players to take care of the action.]

Okay, let's see here. It's interesting to be sure. And though it requires reading the whole thing, I do understand what's going on. And it's not like having to read the whole thing was bad anyway. I notice there a few times where you left out small words. One example being, "Glaedrile was a branch" should have been, "Glaedrile was on a branch". And then those errors weren't annoying and didn't harm the sample as a whole. They also didn't ruing the meaning of the sentence so the few errors you make don't hurt your overall writing.

 

So you're accepted by me. However you need at least two people to accept you before it's official. So you'll have to wait for Tempest's, Nexev's, Proto's, or Jake's opinion on your app before you're in.

Actually the first time she was here was awhile ago, in fact she had a different user name, but she was removed from the list due to inactivity. The last time she posted here, she wasn't aware of that so this time she reapplied. But anyway, yeah we should be seeing more of here.
