Allow me to explain. Our policy on acceptance usually follows a three strike system. And regardless of whether or not you knew about the sample having to be original the fact is that posting an app with an unoriginal sample is a strike against you. But if you had read the first post you would have known it had to be on the spot giving you no excuse. And maybe I wasn't paying enough attention as I read the 20 or so pages I've missed but you changed your sample multiple times and each time it wasn't good enough it was a strike. And then we bring in that you posted about 3 times after your first application attempt without having been accepted which I would most likely hold as a strike against you (I don't know about Black or Tempest). So in short, had the usual system been followed, you would not be here right now. So I guess you should just count yourself lucky and get to proving to me that you've improved at RPing. (not right this moment of course as that would be sort of impossible)

 

Forgive me if I sound angry. My week has not been an enjoyable one and I may be venting somewhat here. Not that that changes my statements in any way.

Did I mention how tolerant our Rules are? There isn't even a Rules section for those applying.

 

I dunno, but if a complete idiot who had no common sense waltzed in here and made a decent app, and before being accepted, started arguing with a member about the app, he would be able to get away with no punishment, seeing as there are absolutely no rules for anyone applying. Flaming, cursing, etc., though, is a universal offense, and should be dealt with higher-ups.

It's called "Apathy," Cephus. People don't really care about how others are acting once they get in. No one cares that YCM is becoming a hell-hole full of noobs and people who just plain suck. No one cares that eventually we won't be able to do anything but post in here which will grow so boring people might just up and leave. And yet, we go on. Because we don't care that we don't care.

A GOOD RP Sample:[spoiler=Hope it's good enough]

It was a great ending to a great day, the sun had a wavering shine as it sank into the hills in front of them, giving off enough light for Joseph to see Hannah’s smile, that alone was a blessing to him, but to further accentuate the moment, when she slowly had moved her head to rest on her shoulder he had felt his heart beat twice as fast. He smiled remembering how this day had been.

 

Throughout the day they had gone ahead and been conned out of 10 bucks by a 12 year-old, The ice cream they had bought earlier melted before they could sit down to enjoy it and smeared Hannah‘s new shirt, the movie they had wanted to see had been sold out, and they were actually stuck now, in the park when Joseph’s car wouldn’t start. His perfect anniversary date had been completely ruined from the moment he had stepped on the front porch of her house only to be greeted by her less then happy father. Yet even through all of that, his smile was still on his face, simply because she had laid her head on his shoulder.

 

He had just let her rest, the whole day ruined in his mind, yet, when he considered this last moment, nothing mattered, his day had been perfect now. He had so many faults, and yet here she sat, next to him still. He had always been worried, was he good enough? Could he keep her happy? Could he really understand her? She was always calling him silly for thinking that, but in this moment, all that had gone ahead and left his head, at that moment….

 

As she kept staring towards the sunset, now nearly gone, he noticed the light of it reflected off her eyes. “Hannah…” he asked uncertainly, she looked back at him and she seemed to understand what he wanted to say, for a second they both just stared into each other’s eyes and said nothing, in his mind, even though they had been together for so long, and even though they had so much they could probably say so much, the feeling that had just struck had surprised him, it was like the very first time…he took a deep breath but she just went ahead and shut his lips with her finger, she knew already, and she seemed happy.

 

Time seemed to pass by them, for what seemed like a few seconds had extended. As the distance between their faces closed everything slowed down. He saw as her eyes had closed and neared himself. His hands had unknowingly wrapped around her waist as hers had around his neck, holding each other in a sweet embrace as the sun finally let them be.

I've actually wanted a formal list of rules on the first post to avoid several of these problems. Though for the moment we can't do much.

Again' date=' the rules need to be added to the first post. But why should posting before acceptance be accepted in her case when everyone else here had enough sense to not do that? Most clubs, at least the ones with apps, don't do that. And as for the three strikes, as I said that is what we normally follow but Black was the one who started that and the other leaders went with it so I guess it was forgotten about in Black's and my own absence.[/b']

Sephus.... I've acknowledged Andx is going be a complete dick to me till he sees I'm better than before, hence I refuse to argue. There are some battles you can’t win, you must know this when you become a debater of any kind. It is better to say noting at all and deal little ridicule while, fighting a useless fight, then be ridiculed even worse, for trying.

 

A little rule of mine, “The one who blows their lid looses”, while I don’t always follow this rule and every so often loose my own lid, I try to keep my calm, where’s the fun of someone blowing their lid? Then there’s no logic in the words just anger.

 

.... Meh I felt preachy.

There is a boundary that separates the world in which we live from that of the demons… It is intangible, invisible, but not indestructible…

 

Until not so long ago, no one has known about the parallel world in which the demons dwell. A former alchemist whose name was never made publicly known was able to prove its existence by inventing a machine that could tear open a gateway into the demons’ realm. A horrifying monster escaped and ran rampant through the cities for two days before a troop of magic users were able to force it back into its own world. The machine was destroyed and its inventor chased out of the smoldering city. He took with him only his notes and the clothes on his back before they burned his home and his laboratory. “This world has no place for a demon like that,” they shouted.

The man’s half-rotted corpse was found a month or so later by a merchant who found his notes and sold them, not knowing what they were for. The buyer was a shady looking man in a dark robe. He used them to build his own machine, becoming obsessed with it and what it would open a doorway to. It was only half as powerful as the original device, but he was able to lure a demon from the other side into this world. Here, she became trapped after a malfunction.

Of course, one doesn’t keep a demon in the house without someone finding out about it… this soon produced an enraged mob who stormed the house in which the man lived. It is said that the demon got away, but no one knows for sure.

Now, those who are knowledgeable say that the malfunction in the man’s machine had weakened the border between worlds and demons are now able to get through in places of extreme instability. Thus creating jobs for banishers who make a decent profit from banishing full-blooded demons back into their own world… however, as they are recently discovering, half-demons cannot be banished, and tend to fare better in this more desirable world.

 

Once again, the original alchemist’s notes had escaped destruction, and this time, there is no doubt that the hands they have fallen into are absolutely the wrong hands. Intelligence from several different countries reveals that in the icy lands of the North, the new King of Urota has nearly completed a larger, more powerful machine than either of its past prototypes… all that is needed is the last piece.

That piece must be taken before it reaches its place in the machine and then used to shut it down... then the entire unit must be destroyed.
