Well' date=' obviously Jake did not dive into the story correctly, if he was asking such questions. Either the story was too boring to read, and therefore you shouldn't have said anything, or you didn't take in every sentence with your whole mind open to the possibilities.

I'm trying to give her a chance, as all accepting teachers look for ways to give you extra points on a test. Since this is not Math, and she didn't completely fail with a 5 word sample, I tried to give her points.

But, apparently, I am not winning.

Oh, I would [i']never[/i] be mad at Jake. *coughitalics=sarcasmcough*

loljk

I agree with Jake's call. But Tempest is right. She gets another chance. But I understand what you are saying. I think the best way to help would be to specifically point out areas that she would need help in. Because I doubt you will get anywhere going against Jake's decision. Wouldn't you agree Tempest? *sips tea*

But an impartial judge is not going to only look at that which is bad about the post. A truly good judge remembers to look at the good aspects of the case, and the bad aspects, even though it is probable that one side will win.

If you are only going to post that which is bad, it gives me a feeling of unbalance.

To the help...

Presume I are taking two tests in a row. I recieved teaching on both tests, but I do bad in a few subjects. Now, the second test is everything I think I know, and the first test is everything I don't know. When I recieve a packet to study for the test, I find that the packet only shows what I do not do well in. I study that well, and take the first. I get a perfect score. Now, when I take the second, I find that it is not just simple questions, but they are thinking questions, because they mix in everything I've learned.

(Bad Example) Now, tell me, do you not think you would've done better if you knew what you already knew was going to be mixed in with what you previously didn't know? Telling someone to work on something specific causes what they were good at to dwindle in size compared to what they were not good at. Now, when mixed together, one will dominate the other, causing the piece to look... imperfect. It is good to mention all topics.

And, like, would a teacher fail you because you got one part, worth, lets say, 25% of your grade wrong? If so, that's one bad teacher...

To be honest, that is the best I can put it as. Maybe _____ can do it better.

*sigh* It always comes down to looking at it from a different perspective...

You guys are more stuck up than you used to be, your being way to strict, I Remembered this club used to be to help people that weren’t that good. You should accept her, and help her...

From what I saw the only thing she was lacking was details, you can help her with that, I don’t find it a viable reason to deny her…

Ceph gets it...

*sigh* It always comes down to looking at it from a different perspective...

"In a world with no understanding of perspective, one man rises above the rest to teach a club on a yugioh forum, just how important perspective can be...

That's how the movie starts. How it ends? We'll have to watch to find out.

Side Note: Most people have predicted that it will end with the world moving on exactly the way it was, and Aqua will not get the help she needs unless Cephus goes and helps her. lol jk

...but you probably should help Aqua cuz I don't think Jake and Tempest want to, and you were the one who seemed upset (<--- assumption) about Jake only pointing out bad things.

Also, when I was bad at certain areas of Geometry, I didn't even study. I just learned. Yeah... there's a difference... But the point is that I did just fine. I never focused on the things I was already good at. I just focused on learning the bad (w/o studying, since studying annoys me). So from my perspective (omg there's that word again!!!), what Jake did was completely helpful (except for the deepness of the cuts thing. That was just... creepy).

Edit: Nothing was meant to be offensive in this post BTW. And Megami, seriously, who ARE you??? And don't assume we are stuck up just because Aqua was denied. In my post you can plainly see that if it were me who was denied, I would've been able to use what Jake said. Whether or not Aqua could is according to her way of learning. So like Ceph said, it's perspective (though I don't agree with his first part because of my perspective).

Well Ive gone through a fiew Name changes' date=' I think you might remember me as Dokuro-chan? Comanderikari?

[/quote']

Oh yeah the one who couldn't spell, right?

Also, in case you guys haven't noticed l don't do much on YCM AT ALL except troll, get banned, and post here. So i'm not about to help. However cephus if you really want her in l suggest YOU do the helping, otherwise she will be denied again if she puts that up again. l know it's harsh, but..

I assume that was an assumption?

I just feel... tired. People like Aqua Girl can shake something like this off... I could never do that in this state. I'm sure she is working a lot harder now on her next one, and is not phased by your remarks that could only make a person feel worse, in my opinion. And I'm sure she had to work up the guts to go for her first one, which she may have also thought was less than perfect material. And the creativity behind it...

If you just looked past the writing, if you could see the emotion and work put behind it, the hidden pieces that are not showing, then maybe you would be a little softer. Maybe if you experienced this...

You may think I'm emotional. Maybe it's because this goes deeper than a simple application?

The world is a harsh place. Helping each other is the best we can do to make it less harsh. Which is why I (and I guess tempest now) vote Cephus helps Aqua! I'm actually helping my clinically depressed friend stay happy through facebook, and I'm super tired, so I'm cranky, and I'm already helping as much as I can right now. Otherwise I would help Aqua and OMG gotta go back to my friend.

Edit: I'll put it like this: We argue too much. Let's never argue again. Instead, if someone does something you don't like, you ignore it. You continue to help that person they dissed instead of dissing them. Or something along those lines (this is just in general, not relating to something going on here).

Nah i'll pass on the emotional hobknockery.

I was harsh because that app stinked. There's a difference between a well thought out app that didn't make the cut, and a terrible one that had no proofreading put into it. l mean, come on. That really looked like a five second app! Gimme a break!

I never study for Math. I am just amazing at it. Neither Science. Amazing. Neither History. Amazing. But English...

Because Math is a little different. Maybe you didn't digest my explination correctly. Thinking questions. If you put two completely different Math subjects together, that still isn't considered a thinking question, in my book. Something like reading a book, and a question asking the hidden mood in the inside story of this frame narrative, instead of asking what the inside story was about.

And that didn't sound harsh to me. What really sounded bad, to me, was Jake's post. But I don't think anyone is seeing it but me, so it's probably just me.

...I'd respond to you Megami, but I have literally NO idea what you just said. No joke.

And if this club is so 'stuck-up' then why don't you leave? We've never had a problem with it till you showed up.

Now I respect Cephus and his opinions, but when some random girl pops out of nowhere and starts insulting our club, that's where I draw the line! I'm tired of arguing, so please, leave, or just get off the whole 'stuck-up' line.
