[spoiler=The Plot Thus Far]

The world prepares to enter into a new era as duelist Gather to go to the Newest Duel Academy, The Elemental Advent Fantasy Academy. However, our story does not begin there but rather in Japan, where we meet some of the hopefuls as they learn who they are and a little about the world.

 

 

 

[spoiler=Rules & Guidelines. Must read!]

For OOC-ish posts,beyond the first 5 pages after this RP Starts, please post them here. The exception to this is if it should be knowledge to everyone and will affect the thread like you are leaving aka announcements. Suggestions can be made here.

 

 

[spoiler=Duel Guidelines]For any duel that is happening YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST:

 

1. Duel with Your deck. (This means: 1. You may use an online/virtual deck, but you must actually draw those cards from your deck. You may not pick out cards from your hand. However, I'm feeling nice so Once per duel, you may pick a card from you deck and add it to your hand. Use this sparingly as I may disallow it. Also tell me and your opponent's when you do it.

If you do need to use an online/virtual duel and you are by yourself, send me or your opponent(s) the log, prefarably your opponent(s).)

2. Duel with real cards. No YCMs (only for fairness). This means you have to draw the cards.

3. No Cheating. If someone thinks you are cheating they have the right to duel you online to see if you are, but 2 other people must agree as well as me.

4. Pay Attention to what is happening.

5. Online duels can be held at http://www.yugiohnetwork.com. This will be useful so use it.

6. If you are new, you may begin with 2 decks. If you are not, You may have 3. You will be able to get more decks as you progress.

2. My second in commands are up for debate, if you wish to hold this postion Pm Me or just tell me why.

 

3. Two parts:

First:

If you wish to be a duel spirit or demon or angel, as they will be needed, Please Please Pm me about it. I don't want Godmodding going on. (Godmodding is inevitable to small degrees, so it's not ok but I will allow it within reason.) If you are one of these things I will alert you of things that you will be able to do. Put it in your app or PM me if you are.

Second:

All of you who wish to have a Millenium Item, pm me before claiming it first.[spoiler=Millenium Item Info]

Also the Millenium Items can all summon monsters, in addition to there abilities. Of these the Puzzle is the strongest, then the Rod/Destroyer, then the ???, and finally the Heart. These three items are the best for summoning monsters, and PM/OOC me if you wish to have a different ability than your item already has.

You must let everyone in the thread know the millenium item, so random effects dont happen. Another thing about the items: they drain energy to use them. This is so you can't continue on to use them. This means if you have a monster/card that is real, you need to periodically sustain yourself. The best method it food. The next best method, would be gaining lifepoints.

Also the stronger the card/effect that your doing, the more energy as well as the strength it take to sustain that. In other words, if you summon Yubel with your item, you better be on your knees. Special Summons, do not use much energy. Fuison and Synchro use a normal amount of energy, and Ritual summons well they require a lot, if you don't follow what is says. If you do, then its like a Special Summon not much. Card effects and be slightly manipulated as well, like DAD, which costs energy or cards. Finally, the most important rule with the items is that when you use them to bring a card to life, once the card is revealed it no longer is a card. If someone say, Bottomless Trap Hole you have 15 seconds before that card is destroyed as well as the monster. Any more questions, pm me. Just so you know, there is no set amount of energy, so don't godmod. In addition, the longer you expend energy on cards, the easier it becomes to manage and less draining. NOT ALL OF THE MILLENIUM ITEMS CAN SUMMON MONSTERS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME WITHOUT KILLING YOU. They are placed here by their strength of summoning monsters, which also determines whether you monster can be beaten by naoother item's monster. AND Only the Puzzle & 1 other Item, either the Heart or the Destroyer, may summon the Egyptian God Cards. If you choose one of the Items that can summon them, you can appeal to ME why it should be able to summon the God Cards. Also, Seto Kaiba has the original Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon and the safe which contains the Winged Dragon of Ra, Joey has Slifer the Sky Dragon and the knowledge of the seal that allows the cards to be used, & Yugi (Atem will be introduced into th story later in the first arc) has Obelisk the Tormentor & the key, which is the only way to open the safe with Ra in it. The Fusion between those cards does not exist. Another thing is, If you say your character got the name of the seal or any of these things without my knowledge and consent first, your warned. and if it happens twice, your banned. Simple.

The god cards aren't the focus of this RP, just a part.

 

Also if you say you've used them to win a duel, which no one here has, except for Yugi & Kaiba, then your warned. But not a 50% like that one. The current, legal versions, anyone may use. The originals however, may not as of now.

 

 

You may edit/change the effect your item but 3 requirements are

1. Pm me the change,; if I accept it then you must tell everyone the ability via the thread.

2. It must fit your character, dueling and/or the original power in the anime. Also There will be 3 openings in a self made Millenium Item. THEY HAVE TO BE HELPFUL TO THE PLOT AND MUST BE APPROVED BY ME OR BOTH MY FUTURE 2ND IN COMMANDS.

 

 

 

4. Some people already have really cool parents/relatives, so note that in your app Bio if you want one. Also everyone will need 2 objects, preferablly weapons. You have to include a description of the objects in your app. Also you must find the objects in the RP, it doesn't matter how, just get them. If you were previously in the RP, you still have to get the items again. If you don't have a millenium item, which no one but I shall start out with for a reason, IT must be one of the items you acquire.

1. Mako Breaker Ver.X: Basically, a sleeker, smaller, and Onyx Black version of Cloud's Buster Blader in Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. It has the same abilites plus it gives the user increaed energy and energy maniuplation control.

2. The VPX-009:Obliterator. It is basically a combination of a Seriously High power Autmoatic Sniper Rifle with extremely high accuracy from distances with a Pancor Jackhammer shotgun. It has 3 barrels, one for the sniper, one for the shotgun, and one that combines both.

 

 

[spoiler= Nathan & Johnathan (War Torn)] Nathan 1. The Sword of Light: An ancient sword used during ancient Egyption times. It has been said to belong to Atem himself, but further studies are needed. 2. His Backpack: Holds everything forevery situation. It has never let Nathan down before.

Johnathan: 1. The Sword of Darkness: From the same time as The Sword of Light. This was used to defeat Zork the Dark One. This one was proved to be used by Atem. 2. His glasses: This allows him to see at a far distance for easy spying.

 

 

[spoiler=Zirceus(Deept97)] Zirceus carries on his belt a collapsible 6’0 aluminum & Honey oak wood bo staff, with retractable blades on each end. He knows how to use it well. Zircues also hold possession over the Millennium Ring, which was taken by Pegasus after the fall of Bakura.

 

 

[spoiler=Iatsu(Merciful Idiot) ] A Duel Disk, and a handphone, for emergencies only.

[spoiler=Hayden (Psyckonuts)]He holds a medallion showing a dragon soaring to symbolize the new age of his prophesy and his "healing". He also holds a hundred year old blade called the Blade of Aeros, which was foretold to have destroyed the soul rather than the skin.

5.This RP is Advanced, please have contributing/useful posts 4 Line Minimum.

 

6. You will be going to school, but you will be doing other things as well. So make sure to take care of both. However, the first Arc will not take place in the School but rather Japan.

[spoiler=[size=large]DORMS[/size]]

 

Hello and welcome to "Elemental Advent Fastasy Academy". Here you will learn, not only about yourself and your own skills, but about the universe and the secrets it holds. At this school, there are 6 "Elemental Dorms" and 2 ranks within each dorm. You were your dorms color, and I think you can guess that much for yourself. If you are Class A you are in a lighter shade of your color then the Class Bs.

 

[spoiler=Dorm Types]

These dorms each hold people whose decks wields a certain element. If your deck is built of many different elements, you will be placed in your dorm according to what your deck focus's on. Also the dorm you choose should match your charcter's persona and it will be important to know what dorm you are in because it will have an effect on the plot.

 

 

Aquos-The Water Dorm

The general strategy an Aquos student has is to lock down the field, thereby having all the power in the duel. This makes most of the support passive, so they use their field spell (Umi and A Legendary Ocean) to boost the attack of their monsters. At the same time, they also lower their monsters levels and get their powerful monsters out onto the field easily.

Flamaré-The Fire Dorm

Flamaré students also do not focus on attack strength (although they do have some stronger monsters hidden in their deck), but focus on removing opponents life points. This is called "burn". They take control of the field, then use monster, spell and trap card effects to systematically remove the opponents life points.

Stealtory-The Earth Dorm

The Stealtory students use decks designed around stalling the duel, until they can pull of a quick victory. Almost all of their decks have a OTK possibility. Cards with high defense are highly valued by these students. Many of them have a card that automatically wins the duel either in their deck, or in their room. All of them have at least one card with over 3000 defense.

Windegaru-The Wind Dorm

Windegaru is a dorm Returning monsters , Levleing up & spells and traps. They love using spells & traps, but when they do, you can be assured that they don't want to target anything but your spell and traps. They then take advantage of this empty back row to destroy your life points. If you really on your spells against one of them, your in trouble because your spell and traps are going to be gone soon enough. Then they clear the rest of your field by returning cards to your deck or just clearing awa y he rows. They wind will blow you away.

Darkonus-The Dark Dorm

These students believe that when a card is sent to the graveyard its time in the duel has only just begun. There decks make the graveyard and the field almost interchangeable. There are some students who are the exact opposite, who still wound up here. They focus on stopping access to the graveyard, effectively making them removed from play.

Luticaria-The Light Dorm

These are student who want to win. They have lots of big and powerful monsters. When these duelists are not overwhelming you with force, they are boosting their life points and drawing cards. Recently, they have started to accept mill decks, but not every one of these is allowed to join.

 

If you do not feel that you fit into any of these dorms please ask me what dorm you should be in. In each of your rooms, there is a machine that you can put your deck in for a virtual duel. The duel is against a computer, but it is good training.

 

 

[spoiler=Classes]

There are two classes, the upper and lower class. A challenge duel is required to move between the two classes.

 

Class B-The Lower Class

This is a class for all new students. You cannot move out of this class without winning 4 challenge duels, 1 tag-team teacher duel, 1 and one against someone of the Headmaster/Principal's Choice. You will spend two years here at least unless you show Excellency in duels in this area. Tha

t means a perfect record and you've dueled 20 people the first day.

 

Class A-The Upper Class

This class is hard enough to get into, but once your in you must periodically duel students from the lower class. If they win you and them both get sent to a challenge duel.

 

Challenge Duels

On a regular basis students from Class B and Class A will be paired up with each other and will duel each other. If the Class A student wins, then you continue around campus as normal. If the Class B student wins, then both students get sent to the "Challenge Arena". In this arena are special instructors who have a set of decks that they are allowed to choose from. They choose their decks depending on what dorm the student they are facing is from. If the student (both Class A and Class B) losses they either stay or become a Class B student, but if they win, they either stay or become a Class A student.

 

Schedules: Each class B student will have Classes that can start from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. They are to teach you the mechanics of dueling, They vary, depending on type. The shortest are 30 minutes and the longest are 2 hours. On average students take for classes, with a mandatory "Survival" Class. It's like Gym but Waaay more intense.

Class A students Only have 2 hours of Survival if they have failed it as a Class B students. The choice for them, after Basic education needs are met, is Optional to have class. However the rest of this time is spent building up a career as a duelist or in the Dueling field.

[spoiler=What Will Be Happening?]

In this RP students duel each other, but they can also go around the campus and talk, make friends and start small sub-plots between dorms. During the RP a plot will slowly be revealed.

 

There is rivalry between certain dorms. Like in the actual game, they go Aquos (Water) and Flamaré (Fire), Stealtory (Earth) and Windegaru (Wind) and Darkonus (Dark) and Luticaria (Light). So feel free to make enemies for yourself from your opposing dorm and the teachers are allowed to pick sides.

 

There will be booster packs handed out periodically during the RP in the shop. At the start of the year, class A students get 10 and class B get 15. Also, every term, you get credits for accomplishments. These are awarded by teachers. You can use these to buy rarer cards from the shop.

 

Also we will be using a money system so feel free to add suggestions on that.

 

Transfers can happen at any time in the RP so please feel free to do it, just PM me.

The school requires you to be in your room from 8:00 to 11:00 to check in. After you have done so, you can stay there or bunk with a friend. The dorms are Co-Ed. Don't get caught in the opposite Genders room, unless its a party.

He can control this, but he doesn't over use it. He was studied in hospitals a lot so he feels somewhat at home in them. He is also great with medical needs.

Prefered Place To Duel: Places where the enviornment rather than the monsters would have a greater effect on the duelist and how they could ossibly act.

Bio-Not Optional:Normally lively and free spirited winning to duel with anyone at any time.though he lost his parent when he was young he still grew up decking with his heart in a small town outside of a lot city that he normally visited to duel other duelist. Through out the times he dueled he has changed and edited many decks until 1 night a fire broke out burning nearly all his cards. however he was able to save one of his decks from total destruction.

He also wears black pants, with a red stripe running down his right leg. His duel disk resides on his right arm.

What Your Deck Tries To Do:Zirceus’s Rerun deck is based on riding the field of his opponents monster by removing them from play. He runs a number of bounce cards, (Compulsory, Penguin Soldier, Forced Back, etc.) that return monsters to the hand, and then using spell cards he ensure they’re removed from play. More often than not, there won’t be monsters in the opponents graveyard fro them to summon.

Age & Theme Songs (if Any): 17, New Divide

Bio-Not Optional:Zirceus is the youngest Nephew of Maximillain Pegasus, the creator of duel monsters. He however did not have good relations with his uncle, rejecting attempts to have cards made for him, etc. He did not want people to think that money defined him. When his parents died in a plane crash, he moved in with his uncle (age 11) where he really got into duel monster, and their relationship to ancient Egypt. As such, he is knowledgeable of the milinium items and their capabilities. When Pegasus dies when Zircues was 16, Zircues was left Pegasus’s fortune and his palace. He also took a deck prototype Pegasus had been designing, and adapted it for his purposes.

Preferred Place To Duel:He prefers to duel someplace outdoors, with plenty of light, though when it comes down to it, it doesn’t matter to him.

What Your Deck Tries To Do: Send many strong monster to the graveyard, only to special summon them all to the field.

Age & Theme Songs: 17/Over 5000, Master of Chaos

Bio-Not Optional: During a distant war happening through multiverse, a man called Protheus appeared. Little knew his intentions, and even less knew who he was in the first place. Only those who came from his own dimension, the RoT dimension, such as Itsu knew who he was, but even then, they knew little about him. The Paradox Wars ripped Protheus apart. But he emerged one final time during the conclusion of his dimension, and attempted to finish his work, but failed, and was destroyed. Due to his unexplained trapped soul, he stayed as some kind of ghost. He wandered along before he found the remains of Paradox's runner, and sent himself on another journey, only to crash into a black hole, which ripped his soul apart, and sent each piece across the multiverse.

One of them inhabited a student, Iatus, and tried to overpower the person, but Iatus proved to be able to control the piece. Iatus, meanwhile, is just a normal person joining a Duel Academy, but he isn't normal anymore with that piece inside of him, which has learned to communicate and help with the host.

Preferred Place To Duel: Anywhere possible.

Picture or Description:Roman is 5'8 and weighs 88 kg. Roman has short brown hair and orange eyes with faint green circles around the iris. He typically wears an old grey sweater, T-Shirt and some slacks because he likes to look like a bum.

He is a fiercely loyal friend, and he only fights for those he believes in. This is at times a heavy burden for him to carry though, as there really isn't anyone he knows or has come across who actually believe in him.

 

Prefered Place To Duel: Usually somewhere quiet where people aren't liable to interrupt. Unlike his uncle Kaiba, huge crowds just annoy him, not to mention that if it comes down to a shadow duel, he would rather that people did not know about his having the Millennium Rod.

 

2 Objects (Not optional seriously): A hilt that seems to be useless, but can actually manifest a blade of shape shifting energy. He also bears one of the seven original Millennium Items, the Millennium Rod, which was given to him by his uncle Seto.

He has not spoken with his uncle sine then, and plans to meet with him soon.

What Your Deck Tries To Do:out if this world: Swarm the field with Aliens n get A counters on the field. Also try n summon Gol'gar or Overload to get many A counters. And it swarms the field using Code A ancient ruins and so uses solidarity to power up the aliens

Mechanical Madness: a Cyber machine deck that tries to either get Overdragon, eltanin, or fortess on the field with max power

Bio-Not Optional:Normally lively and free spirited winning to duel with anyone at any time.though he lost his parent when he was young he still grew up decking with his heart in a small town outside of a lot city that he normally visited to duel other duelist. Through out the times he dueled he has changed and edited many decks until 1 night a fire broke out burning nearly all his cards. however he was able to save two of his decks from total destruction.
