Points. What else can they be good for? [22 supporters]

Recommended Posts

Points are YCM's currency.

Imagine this: You got to Target and by a jumper for $20. Then those $20 are given to the manager who gives it to the employees who uses it to buy things' date=' and the cycle continues.

[/quote']

Yes, but the problem is demand. While points are all well and good to those who spend them on graphics, avatars, etc, what do the designers do with the points? Or what about people like me, who don't use complex graphics on their profiles? While the spending cycle is indeed true and possible, we need more options than simply graphics.

I am in support of the name change idea, provided it is properly implemented.

It seems more people on YCM need to offer point-based services, and those that already exist shouldn't be so cheap. (Seriously. Some shops sell things for around 5 points, some less, that's hardly even a price.)

Maybe I should pay people to be active in the YCCG. [/shameless plug]

Or even pay points to submit cards.

interesting but instead of a pet to make it more suitable to the site, maybe like a duel spirit? That as u said levels up or summfin through points u give it although it would be rather pointless so unless more reasons can come up for spending them on such a thing at this point no support

Points are like any other kind of currency. You can earn points with hard work and you can exchange them for goods and services. The American dollar is no different. Think about a dollar. You get it by working. Then you buy a pencil for it. Then the person you gave it to gets to buy something. Same thing. You get points for contests and posting. Then you buy a banner or avi. Then the person you gave them to can either spend them or keep them.

Well with money its different.

Anyone would love money because you can get so many different things.

Your own house.

Your own pet.

And loads of other cool stuff.

Here we buy a banner for a club, club dies, game over.

Good point. Well, perhaps they could make a few more things to buy/sell. I will support.

I believe they would be best for name change purchases. for example mods could use this system.

1 - User donates to super mod for name change

2 - User recieves name change.

3 - super mod then makes an event/contest handing out the points as the main prize.

4 - repeat 1-3.

Do you support?

Cos you can just support on paying for name changes.

Did I say I support or not? No my mind still isn't made up yet. I was just stating a method that could work out better and it involved points and name changes so it was still on the topic.
