While Luvia was contemplating on reading the book Nick gave to her, a small black cat suddenly came into the compartment and settled itself next to her. "A cat? Looks like comebody lost their cat." She smiled petting it behind the ears. It wasn't that long when the owner came into the campartment. It was that boy from Diagon Ally. "You should watch your cat much better. What's her name?" She asked still petting the cat.

Nick noticed a cat entered the room. Asha seemed interested in this cat. But why? Asha turned to Nick and meowed. "What? What do you want? Do you want me to pet you?" The cat nodded. "Ok then." Nick said starting to pet Asha as she started purr. Nick picked her up and she laid on his lap. Nick continued to pet her. Then he turned to owner and said. "You know she's right. Maybe you should train it to stay by you. Like I did with my cat Asha here. All you need to do is say "Faroo dible train this cat". It's a spell I invented. It trains a cat to stay by you. Take out your wand and try it. If it doesn't work I'll do it. I seem to be the only one who can use it. But you can still try." Hahaha. It would be funny if he believed it. I just made it up.

Bakura swore at himself, his cap falling off in the process, revealing his cat ears, but he didn't even notice. I know better than to anger oneself's family, don't I?....This wand is making me this way. It's power, I cannot comprehend. I'm lucky I'm not it's true master....even if I did create it. He stared at Sarah again, and simply sighed. "Even if it's insanity, I still do read it, but I treat it as fiction, as do every single other wizard and witch out there who read the Quibbler. It's interesting, I admit, but isn't true, in my opinion. I mean the Snorkack Mawhaty was confirmed not to exist by Loon-...Luna Lovegood herself." Bakura's Gardenvoir dragon, which somehow remained unnoticed, started snoring loudly.

"Aunt Luna may have admitted that was fiction, but the family still remains true to most of its beliefs. Even if you cannot believe something without uncontroversial evidence placed directly underneath your nose, doesn't mean the rest of the wizarding world isn't so woefully ignorant as you! Some of us believe things when there is only some evidence! We are not all sceptics, you know! You're as bad as Hermione Granger. My Aunt told me all about her. She could never believe anything without definite, complete, proof!"

"If I'm as bad as Ms. Granger, then I must be really good, seeing as she was a super prodigy genius, and she had no wizard blood." Bakura then simply sighed. "You believe what you believe, and I believe what I believe. If there's one thing in this world that doesn't make any sense, it's your family. S-E-R-I-O-U-S-L-Y, seriously." Bakura's cat ears started twitching, but seriously, he didn't notice or feel it. "Once again. You believe what you believe, and I believe what I believe. That's the way logic goes."

Cayden, annoyed by the lack of privacy in the train, turned his head to the witch who wheeled the trolly, he strained to remain polite as he spoke. "Well, I guess I'll take two caudren cakes, and some pumpkin juice. Oh." He smiled back over to Clear,"Do you want anything, my treat?" in his own mind, Cayden sighed, He was about to hear what he was DYING to hear. He had a hunch but he wanted confirmation that Clear felt the same way about him that he did about her. Maybe... Cayden paid for his food but didn't put his wallet away, still waiting for Clear's reply.

'No thanks, Im alright.' Clear smiled, starting to regain her natural colour again. Sitting down on the seat across from where Cayden was standing up from, Clear crossed her legs and brought them up, beneath her. Looking out the window, as Cayden bought his treats, Clear got to thinking....

{Where is all this embarrasment coming from? I've known this boy since first year. Why Am I getting so worked up about all of this all of a sudden? Look at him, he is perfectly calm. And look at you, your a nervous wreak. Come on pull yourself together girl. Your almost home. Not long now. And classes will start and all will be back to normal soon. Well what is normal.}

Sighing, Clear broke her train of thought to look up at the boy she befriended in first year, who was now a young man. 'Time sure flys past, dont it?' she asked, in efforts to distract Cayden, so she wouldnt have to venture back to that embarrassing truth, she almost let slip, just moments before.

"It really does. I'm not usually too big on getting a lot of sleep, it seems like a waste of the time we do have." Cayden wasn't going to let this slip his mind. "Speaking of sleep, you were saying something about a dream about us?" His voice sounded nervous, his resolve was by no-means rock solid and he was nervous to no end about this, While in previous years Clear didn't seem interested at all, something was different this time. this year might just be his time and Cayden needed to know.

'Uh yeah, I guess I was....' Clear stuttered, trying to come up with a cover up, or something else that would at least buy her some more time, before she had to explain herself. 'I was just about to say, that I had a dream, and we were at school.' Clear was purley winging the converstation now. Not like she was lying, nor was she about to. She would just miss out some minor details... 'and we were sitting in the great hall, with our friends eating dinner. and it was the Yule ball.. I know I know, makes little sense to me either. And everyone was dancing, then we went out onto the balcany and we uhm we, uh kissed, and thats when I woke up.' Clear had resumed her red face again by this point.

"Really?" Cayden smiled a bright overjoyed smile, he was struggling to contain himself. "I had the same dream, but we were, well we kissed a few times... And" Cayden hesitated and started to speak again very slowly trying not to sound too embarased and to keep his accent to a minimum. "It wasn't the first time I dreamed of kissing you. Clear, I've always kinda liked you, and these last couple of days, it's been a lot more intense." Oh God! Why did I have to say that!? Cayden instantly regreted this as soon as the last word had left his lips. he blushed a vivid red.

'Your blushing.' Clear pointed out kindly, as she giggled, as she blushed herself. Standing up to move over and sit beside Cayden, Clear placed Drizzle on the empty seat beside her, as she lent over to kiss Cayden on the cheek. 'And your sweet' Clear smiled trying to keep her nerves from showing in her voice, as both her hands were shaking. 'I think we can safely say, that this year is going to be intersting.' Clear smiled, as she laid her head softly on Caydens shoulder, and looked out the window at the passing fields, which were becoming much harder to see in the dark, but still managed to look beautiful.

"It will be... But what does this mean for us?" Cayden gently stroked the girl's mousey brown hair, turning his head and kissing her forehead. It was a dream come true. Cayden felt like he could have walked on air! This was amazing... Clear really felt the same way about him as he did about her! His blush was a little softer now, slowly fading, but his smile had grown again. the stroking stopped and Cayden wrapped his arms around her, turning his head looking out the window too. The view was lovely, but the most lovely thing he saw in that window was Clear's reflection.

Still watching the passing fields, out of the window, Clear kept her head on Caydens shoulder, as she took a deep breath in preparing herself for her speach. 'Remember back in first year when we met? It was our first flying lesson, and I kicked off too early, and ended up falling off my broom? And this young boy, I had never met before, caught me about a foot and a half from the ground? Then we sat beside each other in some classes after that. And it kind of became a regualr thing. And now look at us. Im sitting here with my head against this young mans shoulder. I just mean, what I think Im trying to say is uhm, you are my longest friend, and your friendship means alot to me Cayden' Clear stuttered out the last line, trying not to blush.

"So you're scared we'll loose the friendship if we go for more?" Cayden felt his heart sink. disheartenment was clear in his voice. He'd got his hopes up and set himself up for a fall, He should have known this would happen. How didn't I see this comming? I'll always just be a friend to her He was trying not to show it, but Cayden felt like he was about to cry... His hopes were so high and now they were crashing down around him. his grip in the hug loosened slightly. hoping he didn't seem too upset.

'yes.' Clear whispered, hearing the hurt in the boys voice. Sitting up, and pulling herself softly out of his grip, she looked at his face, feeling her heart slip to her stomach. His face, had such hurt written all over it, almost carved into it. His delicate features, shadowed. Looking down at his hand, now sitting limply on empty space on the seat between them, Clear picked it up and held it. 'How about, we go on a date? But just take things easy? You mean alot to me Cayden, and I dont want to wreak what we already have. But I do like you.' Clear smiled blushing slightly as she gave his hand a soft squeaze.

Cayden, feeling stung, pulled his hand away, but looked up at the girl. "I guess that sounds good, Clear. But since about second year, I've been crazy about you..." The truth was all comming out now. Cayden spoke. "Do you remember, last year when I blew off that Beaubaxtons girl at the Yule Ball? The one I couldn't stop talking about? I left because I saw you in your dress and honestly, I was jealous of your date..." Cayden hoped Clear didn't feel too bad about this, he didn't intend to make her feel guilty... And it's not like she didn't want anything. He gripped her hand and looked into her eyes. "What about tonight? We sneak out some time after the feast meet out in the Transfiguration Courtyard?"

Looking down, hurt as Cayden pulled his hand away from her touch. Listening to him tell her that he's liked her since 2nd year, Clear couldn't belive her ears, and then hearing she was the reason, he had left the yule ball early. It all felt too much to take in. Feeling his warm hand on her own, Clear crashed back down to earth, Cayden's voice breaking through her thoughts. Thinking about what he had just told her, the answer seemed like the most plain thing in the world. 'I would, really like that.' Clear smiled.

Cayden felt his heart 'rise' for lack of a better term, confidence returning to his voice, along with that same strength-of-accent that always gave him away. "Then it's a date." Cayden smiled at his old friend and as he fancied her now, his 'soon-to-be-girlfriend' He moved for his guitar. "Can I play you a song, Clear. I know it's a favorite of yours, and it makes me think a lot of you." Cayden reached for his guitar. Clear had heard him play the song in question just the day before, but somehow he felt she'd feel differently about it knowing it was directed at her when he thought about it.

'uhm sure' Clear smiled, as she sat back, with her back to the back of the seat. Listening attentivly as he started to play. Listening to the lyrics, she smiled, thinking back through all the good times they had together through out the years, she even thought back on the bad things that had happened, and how they managed to make it through together, about all the times they helped each other in class, all the times she had caught him looking at her, all the times she herself had snuck a look at him.

"One Thing" The song he'd played yesterday right before meeting up with Clear filled the train, it was a somber, but romantic song, and with each skillfully-played cord, Cayden drifted more and more away from the present and into his dreams for the future, all of which involved Clear. His eyes fell on her, but he'd often close them, loosing himself a bit in his music. He was torn between his fantacy and the flesh and blood of his date for the evening in Clear. Cayden's mind suddenly traveled backwards to the potions lesson imidiately following the first flying lesson they'd had at school, the one where Cayden had nearly caused a potion to explode, until Clear stepped in and saved him. And to, well... almost every second potions lesson since then. Most recently, one last year where she'd made the save and caused the potion to erupt in a shower of rainbow vapour which rained down on the girl, instead of smoke and flames, it was a beautiful sight, but right now. the captivated Clear had never looked more beautiful to Cayden.

"I'm really sorry about that. I was trying something and I it like . . . blew up." Jecht said sitting down beside the girl and his cat, Yin. "Her name's Yin. And I'm Jecht, by the way." Then the other boy said something about training his cat with magic. "Farbil diboo?" Jecht asked raising an eyebrow. "Even if that was spell . . . I don't think you should charm your pet. A pet is more like a canpanion. If you just use magic to make everything better that takes the fun out of all of it.

Luvia smiled moving the cat onto her lap, "That's a very cute name for a cat." She listened to Nick say something about charming his cat so it wouldn't run away. It took everything not to start laughing at the obviously made up spell Nick told Jecht. "Good thing you didn't actually believe him. Who knows what could've happened to your poor cat if you tried it." Luvia remarked after Jecht's answer to Nick. "Are you in Slytherin too? My unc-I mean brother seemed to recognize you from his house."

((We're on the train at this point . . . ))

"Yeah. I'm in Slytherin. This'll be my . . ." Jecht had to think a second before answering. He risisted counting on his fingers, becuase he thought he would look kinda stupid if he had done that.

"Fifth year at Hogwarts. And you're in Slytherin too right?" He asked knowing he had seen her before in the Slytherin common room.

"Is there any better house to be in?" Luvia chuckled putting her book back, and handing Nick his 'Eragon' book back. "I'm in my fifth year as well." She then tilted her head to the side. "You know...I don't think I've introduced myself yet. I'm Luvia, Luvia Bloodmire." She smiled politely. "I alreayd know your name, my brother told me when we saw you at Diagon Ally. Your name is Jecht, right?"

IC: Valarie sat down in an empty compartment in the train to Hogwarts. She brushed her white-ish blond bangs out of her face, and stared out of the window. She pulled out a spell-book, and started memorizing spells. She thought about trying some out, but decided against it- she would need a "volunteer" for that, and she probably wouldn't find one, well, at least a willing volunteer. She put the spell-book away, lying down in the train seat. She ran her fingers through her hair and sighed.
