Hogwarts - A new generation [PG-16]

Deciding not to wait and stare at Sarah, for fear of seeming creepy, Cayden left Flourish and Blotts, his guitar slung over his shoulder. He passed the same blonde girl who he'd seen on his way into the store, he continued, semi-aimlessly before finding his way to a bench. Removing his black-glazed wooden guitar, made from the same tree as his wand. He set the case down open and surveyed the witches and wizards on the street. He thumbled in his pocket for the pick, producing both it and his wand. He thought for a moment, deciding on weather or not he should try a spell to enhance his playing at this point, looking down at his book. He pondered for a minute before deciding to save it for Hogwarts, and with that he began to play one of his favorite muggle songs. One Thing, by Finger Eleven. The patrons in the Alley were favorable and a few sickles and many knuts began to make thier way into the guitar case as passers by were impressed by Cayden's long-practiced performance.

Bakura walked around, and he was holding a lot of books in one hand, and a cage with his pet Gardenvoir dragon in the other. He had to keep ensuring each and every wizard and witch around that it wasn't dangerous. That it doesn't breathe fire and doesn't have sharp fangs. He had to show each of them a page about Gardenvoir's in his book called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them II to convince them, and that was difficult considering how both hands were occupied. He also had to put sellotape to stick his cap to his head, so it doesn't fall off. And he couldn't risk a Permanent Sticky charm.

Either way, he still had some Galleons in his pocket, but he thought it would be best to keep it for Hogwarts.

Exiting Gringotts and entering into the cool crisp air again, Clear reached into her pocket and pulled out a now awake Drizzle and placed the rat on her shoulder to make room for the abunance of silver and gold she now needed to get her new robes, and the rest of her school supplies.

Hands in pockets, she decided to walk about for a bit first, see where her legs took her. She enjoyed walking around and listening to the other magical folk as they went about their day. She loved listening to the diffrences in accents and voices. She smiled to herself as the wind brought with its cool chill, a familiar tune. Following the sound, Clear turned a corner, and stumbled apon the sight of a rather handsome young man playing his guitar.

Walking over she shyly sat down beside the young male, and hummed along to the song that he was playing.

Cayden, having nearly lost himself in the music looked up, flicking his golden hair from his eyes, seeing a chubby, yet attractive girl approach, he recognised Clear from previous years at the school and inclined his head, indicating her to take a seat, he sung as he played, but took a second to speak her name in greeting. He always thought of Clear as an interesting girl, and quite appriciated her help in potions at times. He strumed away. and returned to singing "Maybe next time, but not this time..." Cayden began to tap his foot as his first Galleon of the session fell into his guitar. "Thank you." He said not breaking the tone of the song.

Seeing as nobody was listening to her, Eramine decided to tread on Krispin's tail whilst she brought her books. It was somewhat a struggle, but she managed. However, before she could pick up Krispin again, he suddenly managed to wriggle free and went dashing out of the shop, swearing, cursing and teasing as he leapt for his great escape.

"KRISPIN, COME BACK HERE NOW!" bellowed Eramine, stumbling and leaping at the Jarvey. Without realising what was happening, the Jarvey almost collided with the bottom of a cauldron; he took a sharp swerve, and knocked his head against the guitar case.

"Stupid ... thing!" he fired angrily as Eramine finally caught up with him. In one swoop, she picked him up and clasped his jaw together again with her hand, before looking apologetically at Cayden.

"I'm sorry, Kr - oh hello Cayden." Although they weren't in the same house, Eramine knew Cayden was in the same year as her. Then her eyes fell on Clear, who happened to be in the same year AND house as her; Eramine smiled at her.

"Oh, hi Eramine." Cayden spoke, smiling, his accent was strong, as it seemed to be whenever he sung or when he finished singing. "It's quite fine. I know what Jarveys can be like, they're among my favorite creatures. How's Krispin going? Cayden asked, genuinely interested, Care For Magical Creatures was among his favorite subjects. I the song had stopped but Cayden still fiddled a bit, playing soft notes with his guitar. He turned for a moment and shot a soft, warm smile to Clear, glad she'd accepted his offer to sit with him, he'd missed her over the holidays.

Clear sat smiling polietly as the two engaged in their conversation. Reaching up behind her head, Clear grabbed a hold of Drizzle and pulled the small scruffy ball of fur into her lap and began patting it. Watching Cayden fiddling with his guitar out of the corner of her eye. Waiting untill a pause in the conversation, not to seem rude. Clear lifted her head and engaged the two in conversation. "How was your holidays? Do anything intesting?" Her voice made her seem much younger than she was. Clear missed seeing the other young people at Hoggwarts durring the holidays.

"Oh-" Began Cayden happily turning to Clear, waiting to hear her speak up. "Not really, did you get my letter? I sent Arian. He was gone for a while, I hope he found your house." The letter he'd sent to Clear contained the details of his rather boring holiday to visit muggle relatives, they knew about his magical blood, and although they accepted it, the thought of it worried them, and thus Cayden reframed from so much as mensioning magic, or Hogwarts, he did however send a few owls and paly some music writen by wizarding bands while he was there. Cayden's 'plan' if you could call mapping out the next stage in a conversation a plan was to ask the same question of Clear.

"Krispin's being annoying as ever - I just don't get why dad won't let me have - another - pet - stay - still!" As she spoke, she was forced to wrestle even more with her Jarvey, who was already on the verge of abusing them again. "Sorry - yeah, like I said, dad's not letting me have another pet, and I just don't get why; he knows what Jarveys are like." Still, it was useless contemplating just how long Krispin had left before his inevitable death, and Eramine sat down beside Cayden.

Jimmy had just wandered down through the streets when he noticed the Slytherins he approached "Back off" he announced boudly he wasn't entirely sure what he was doing but he knew he was doing it "leave them alone Scott" he had remembered him from previous years that he was a pure troublemaker "and what are you gonna do about" he said approaching Jimmy "I mean it" but Scott still approached, Jimmy whipped out his wand and yelled 'Stupefy' knocking Scott to the ground. Jimmy walked over to the first years it's fine run along now, he turned around in to be caught head on with a 'Stupefy' of Scott's own, he walked over to the grounded Jimmy you've done the wrong thing, he started walking off noticing he had drawn a crowdand as he walked past Clear, Cayden "You hanging around Half-Bloods your a disgrace" he said sneering at Erimyne "Filthy Half-Bloods" he said spitting on the ground and walking off.

Turning to Cayden, Clear frowned slightly 'No, sorry. Well not techncally. I got the owl. But no letter." . Clear looked from Cayden to Eramine, and laughed rather forcefully. "I had planed to send you a letter, but we only have one owl and dad needed Stone for work stuff." . Clears mind cast back to the large black omen of death that was better known as her fathers owl, Stone. Last time she had tried to use Stone to deliver a letter, he had broke the skin on Clear's index and middle fingers. Earning him a nice new coat of pink and purple feathers, in turn earning Clear a week of extra chores.

Looking back up at Cayden and Eramine, Clear blushed. 'So, your holidays?"

"Who was that jerk?" Cayden said, his eyes following after the boy who'd called Erimine a disgrace. He was used to the Arogance of Slytherine students, but it still annoyed him greatly. Not one to dwell on petty issues, Cayden gave a shrug and turned his attention back to the other two, but still the nagging temptation was there to say something to the guy. He'd seen him before and he knew that he could be trouble from previous years. Cayden noticed the girl blushing, He couldn't help but think it was cute, but at the same time she was very attractive. The other time in which Cayden's accent sparked up, when he was talking to a pretty girl was fast catching up to him and his Welsh blood was very apparant in his speech. "Boring... saw my Muggle cousins, wasn't allowed to do anything remotely magical, I'm shocked they let me bring Arian along."

"Slytherins." Clear mutter shaking her head, after the rude remarks made about her and Caydens blood status. She had seen this boy at school and knew he could be rude. But it still stung her, when fun was poked at her, and her friends. Her attention once again fell down to the rat in her lap, who was now staring at Krispin. Feeling stupid for forgetting that Krispin was a Jarvey and Drizzle was a rat and well food to Krispin, Clear placed Drizzle in her pocket. Looking back towards Cayden and Erimine, Clear gave a small smile. "Yeah, mugles can be such wet blankets at times." she said playfully. "Dad wont let me use magic at all incase one of the neighbours see, might cause awkward questions."

Alex had just finished the legs of his chocolate frog when he saw Clear. "Hello! I'm Alex! You know, I heard his rant. I am a Half-Blood myself, a Slytherin witch being my mother, a normal human father. Or Muggle, I hear humans are spoken as. And I never was really taught magic. For me, more of this place's history. Even to show it was a real place, she brought me here when the train came to Station 9 3/4. Remember the one that was jumpy & went in the other direction of the others, not even really carring? That was me." He explained.

Luvia had been observing some of the owls, contemplating if she should get one of her own. Her uncle already had one, so there really wasn't a need....But it would be nice to have her own. She reached her hand out to pet one of the owls, but quickly snatched it back when the owl snapped at her and screeching loudly. Luvia glared, "I don't want an owl anyway."

"Yo! There you are!" The young girl turned facing her uncle, Kris. "Come on, we should be leaving now. I got everything I needed-" He held up the bags he held in his hands, "And I got enough money from Gringotts to last you for a while." Luvia narrowed her eyes at Kris.

"What took you so long? It doesn't take forever to get you potion ingredeants." She said knowing thats what he went to get. "You know it's dangerous to go to Knockturn Ally."

Kris grinned knowing he got caught, "It's dangerous for you, but not for me, my little student." Luvia rolled her eyes, walked over, and grabbed his sleeve pulling him along. "Let's go."

Before Nick could answer Luvia was talking to Sarah, and some other people. "Luvia. How about you just give me your list and I'll use that and use a spell to which the lists around. So that my list comes here. And your list goes to my house. Besides. Your done getting your stuff already." Nick said thinking it was clearly an amazing plan. Nick waited for Luvia to stop talking to the others and turn around and hand him the list. As he did he petted the dog. Just then he realized she was gone. "Huh. Well I guess I'll have to go home again after all." Nick said using his to teleport himself home.

Yin continued to rubbing against Jecht's legs. Jecht feared he would trip, extremely embarressing in a place filled with people, or step on Yin. "You're an extremely lazy cat, you know that?" Jecht said but picked up Yin again. He walked past a group of people, one with a guitar, all of them sitting on the ground. He nodded his head politely to them and started to walk off to get some new robes because the ones he had were rather old and were getting too small for him. He saw a cute girl with, an older guy. She was in his house and his year . . . hopefully he could get to know her better.

Nick appeared in his house to something he expected. Fighting. Nick quickly ran in and got his list. Just then Asha appeared at his feet and meowed. "K fine you can come too." Nick said to Asha as he picked her up and teleported back to Diagon Alley. He looked at the list to see:

Care of Magical Creatures

Herbology

Defense Against the Dark Arts

Potions

Charms

But it didn't say the books. Oh well. Nick thought as he entered a shop. It was where he could get all his subjects in one stop. Except for Herbology. Nick put Asha down and told her to say with him. Asha gave a slight nod. Nick went down to the counter and asked for all the subjects on this list. The man said Herbology wasn't here and it was in the store next to him. But he still got the items and brought them over. Nick payed for the books and took them off the counter. Nick walked out squirming as he rushed as fast as he could to get a something to push his stuff around with. Asha was still following clearly saying that she understood what he said earlier.

While walking, and dragging the pouting young man behind her, Luvia happened to look to her left and paused in her stride. There was a boy over there that looked strangly familiar. She think he is in her house but she hadn't seen him before...At least she don't think so. He was looking at her as well, so he must've been thinking the same thing.

"Who ya looking at?" Kris asked leaning down so his face was on her shoulder, to follow her line of sight. "Ohh, is he a boyfriend?"

That snapped Luvia out of it and she blushed deeply. "No!! I don't even know him. I just thought he looked familiar, that's all."

"Well he should, he's in your house. That's Jecht Kyne, a 5th year like yourself. Although he doesn't have very good potion skills. What a shame, and for that I disapprove of you dating him." Luvia blushed more and rolled her eyes. "Whatever brother, lets just go please."

Sarah was bored, after having finished her shopping. She went to get some ice cream, but soon became bored. Being the adventurous person she was, she decided to venture into Knockturn Ally. She had about 7 Galleons 9 Sickles left, and thought she might be able to find something exciting there. Her parents didn't mind her going there, as long as she took her pepper spray.

She skipped over to the street and turned down it. Immediately the people became much freakier, and much less reputable. She passes shops with names like Dark Derry's. She finally decided to enter a store called Percy's Potions.

Looking up Clear, saw a boy who had just clearly eaten a chocolate treat, judging by the small traces of chocolate that still claimed the corners of his young mouth. Listening to his story and remembering seeing the young boy pushing past people, in his best efforts to go the opposite dirrection, Clear felt herself chuckle. "Theres, nothing wrong with half-bloods, Alex. We are just as worthy to study magic, as pure-bloods are", Clear managed to slow down her speach to an understandable pace. Being Scottish she was a fast speaker at the best of times, but her speach only sped up when she was angry, this time being no expection.

Bakura noticed someone else, probably five years older than him, venture in Knockturn Alley. In curiosity, he followed her all the way to Percy's Potions. He watched her from the window. "Who is she, a Dark Wizard?" He whispered to himself. But he couldn't watch her for long. People around him were suddenly becoming interested in his Gardenvoir dragon, and more people noticed him every ten seconds. So he decided to leave right there, ignoring all the people who were offering him fifty and more Galleons for his dragon.

He went back to the safe part of Diagon Alley. He was certain and sure she also goes to Hogwarts. He'd ask her what she was doing in Knockturn Alley then. In the meantime, he had to find out where to put his books.

Luicien smiled as he walked along the croweded streets of Diagon Alley. "Ah.. it is such a nice day." He smiled warmly seeing a huge amounts of new students for the years. He chuckled smiling warmly as he walked along the sidewalk. "I can see many new faces this year." He chuckled warmly closing his eyes stopping at the book store. "I do need to get some books on Lycanthropy." He opened the door stepping inside to see that it was rather empty. He then began to look through the section of monsters. "Let's see... Lycan... Lycan.. Ah here we are!" He smiled grabbing the book.

"What's a young missy like yourself doing in a part of town like this now?" said the clerk. He had an Irish accent that resonated of the walls of his mouth. His teeth were all either crooked, yellow or missing. His hair was grey and thinning. He wore regular black wizards robes, which had tears all over.

"Just browsing. I need some exotic ingredients, and I heard you had them. First off, I need some powdered Unicorn horn..." And so she listed ingredients and the clerk fetched the amounts she wanted. She ended up paying 3 Galleons, 7 Sickles and 5 Knuts.
