You could go to Namek to find the Dragonballs, or you could raise an army, you are your own person, with your own unique life. But, even with your whole life ahead of you, battle could be behind you every second, and darkness is never far away...

Hadeus won't up to the sound of his alarm once again. 6:00 it read. He got up at 6:00 every morning just to train and workout for 3 hours before doing what ever he did through the day, most days he would just continue to workout till he dropped. He looked over on his wall and saw one of his flyers from the new fighting tournaments. "Kaichi Tournament X" it read. He couldn't believe he has been in every one of thiese "Kaichi" Tournaments. He didn't win quite everytime, but he has won the last 3 in a row and some before that. Well today he would win his 4th in a row. He began his workout routine, it wasn't anything really hard on him, but to a normal human, they would die. He went for an hour run, running from his town to the next and back, sometimes he would fly to another state and force himself to run back. Once back, he did a routine of push ups, pull ups, crunches, and different forms of each. Sometimes he even did one armed handstand push ups. Those were the worst. He did alot more in his routine and eventually he looked at his clock. 8:59. Well time to get ready, he said to himself. He got his shower, got dressed and piged out on an amazing meal he made. Once done he ran out the door and jogged to the Tournament. It didn't start till 12, but he liked to meditate and relax before it began. So off he went, ready to take on anybody who got in his way.

"Order 23! Two hot lattes and three Muffins!" Maharu yelled her voice traveling over the many voices of talking costomers, and screaming children. There was a table in the corner with a man, woman, and child. The man stood up to get the food. Maharu smiled, "No need! I'll bring it to you!" She grabbed a tray and put the Lattes and muffins on it, then weaved in and out of the crowded resturant with ease, and with such grace that she couldn't have been human. She smiled, and distributed the order accordingly. "And a free apple juice for the kid. My treat." She smiled and walked away. On her way back to the counter she over heard some guys talking about the upcoming Kaichi Tournament. Another tournament huh?...Wonder if they'll be any good fighters this time.

[Daxter]

10:21 AM.

Hadeus finally arrived at the gates of the Tournament. He started to walk through the gates and a man stopped him at the desk.

 

"Excuse me sir, may I see you ID and your ticket to be in this tournament?" The man had a very upbeat and happy voice. He annoyed Hadeus already.

 

Hadeus puled out his information. And sighed. "I have won the past 3 championships, and Im the current champion here...you think you'd know me." Hadeus grabbed back his ID and other information.

 

"I'm very sorry Mr. Hadeus, just that security is getting up tite. Well your free to go do whatever you want, the tournament will begin at 12:AM sharp"

 

Hadues walked away and found a nice quiet place to meditate and reflect before his fights. He knew he would take victory again, and crush anybody in his way.

Maharu frowned, as she tapped her foot impaitently waiting in the middle of a long line. What line is she waiting in? Well, it's the line to enter the Kaichi Tournament. She sighed annoyed at how she'd been suckered into it.

 

~A bit earlier~

 

"Man that was one busy shift." Maharu sighed tiredly sitting in the small resting area behind the coffee chop. It wasn't too long later when both her parents came in, both wearing identical smiles.

 

"Maharu, darling." Her mother said sitting next to her. "We have something for you."

 

Maharu gasped in happiness, "Is it my new cell phone!? Please tell me you finally got me a cell phone! Or a car! Ether one!"

 

Her father coughed into his hand, "Um, not exactly." Maharu's smile instantly fell when he held out a ticket. To her dismay, it was an entry ticket to the tournament. She crossed her arms with a pout. "I'm not entering another fighting tournament. The ones that Ive been to hardly have any competition."

 

"Oh, come on sweety. You do all this training, yet you don't ever put it to the test. You're going to get rusty." Her father said half serious, half jokingly. When Maharu still didn't budge he added, "And I'll throw in a new cell phone."

 

~Now~

 

"And that's how all this happened." She muttered it finally being her turn to register. She handed everything that she was suppose to: Ticket, and ID. She sighed and walked inside and straight to the restroom to change. When she came out she was wearing a loose white t-shirt, andsome shorts.

 

"If i'ma do this then I might as well be confortable."

Santo grunted slightly as he tossed and turned the sheets in his bed, being in a deep slumber. He had been having nightmares about the day he had been abolished from Planet Vegeta -- his home planet -- for being a "law-breaker". Law-breaker? Which "law" did he actually break? The fact that he had been a Low-Class warrior Saiyan had seemed to be enough to give the Saiyan King reason to banish him from the planet, and send him to this... weak planet, called "Earth".

 

"Gguuuhhh..." he let out a gargling sound, his mouth being full of saliva that hung out in a string from his mouth as he snored. Suddenly, there was a jerk in his head as the nightmare ended, and he woke up and sat straight up in the bed he had been sleeping on, and glared around the room for awhile. "D-Damn... another of those nightmares..." he grunted, before getting off the bed and putting on his Saiyan armor, which was inconveniently tossed at the side of his bed. He went downstairs and noticed an evenlope at the bottom of his door, and picked it up, reading about the Kaichi Tournament.

 

"Heh, another of those ass-boring tournaments... I'll easily win!" he grinned, crumbling the paper and tossing it in a trash bin. "But then again... I've been bored as hell, so a bit of a sparring could not bother me so much, heh..." he cracked his knuckles, before walking outside and heading towards the location of the tournament.

[Daxter]

"30 Minute Call!" The announcer yelled. Hadeus opened his eyes and noticed some kids were looking at him, he doesn't know for how long they were watching him meditate, but it made him laugh to himself. He stood up and did a quick stretch. He was about to walk to the restroom before the fights began when he heard a very angry voice.

 

"You!" A man yalled from behind him. "There is no way you could have won our last fight the way you did." Hadeus turned and saw the runner up from the last tournament, some skinny human. Hadeus smiled. "Don't laugh!" The man was enraged. He began to walk over towards Hadeus and he pulled out a small pocket knife. Hadeus saw the kniife and went in a rage. The man went to stab at Hadeus, maybe not even intending to kill him, but Hadeus wasn't gonna find out. He grabbed the wrist that had the knife in it. He began to squeeze and squeeze and the man began groaning, he dropped the knife. Hadeus with his amazing speed grabbed it with his free hand and held it to the mans throat. "Your not worth it." Hadeus said, after that he threw the man to the ground and threw the knife at him. The knife landed less than an inch away from the mans face. Hadeus turned and contiuned walking, everyone kept staring at him, but winning is all he cared about.

On a wide field in an empty part of a forest, Yuren was busily at work tending to the crops. "Whew, that's it for today! I better go take a shower, I smell like sweat and dirt." Yuren said as he wiped his forehead with his forearm. Yuren walked inside to his house and went into the bathroom, whistling the whole way. It appears that Yuren was in a happy mood as usual. After awhile in the bathroom, Yuren went out with a new set of clothing. "Alright, I should go to the city to see if anything new is happening." Yuren stated as he walked out of his house, locking the door, and flying off into the city.

Maharu raised a finely arched eyebrow at the small fight that just happened. She too had been watching the man meditating. Something had called her over here so of course she was curious. He hadn't seen her when he was done, as some weak looking human walked over picked a fight with him. However, the meditating guy simply held him at bay and completely humiliated him. "He's the reigning champion, Hadeus I think his name was. Maybe this will be an interesting tournament..." She smiled, before doing some light stretches and warm up exersices. She heard the thirty minute call and that was just about thirty minutes ago. Maharu grinned, "Looks like we've begun."

[Kōsuke Ueki]

~30 minutes ago~

 

Kibuto has always lost the Kaichi tournaments during the semifinals. He thought this would be the day he would become the new champion instead of, Hadeus was it? Who cares? He does. He had already gotten his ticket for this year after losing his match in the semifinals last year for going so far. It's convenient, but not really necessary. He had already gotten his outfit on, but left his sword and glove home, since the tournament prohibits weapons. He gave his ID and ticket and began to start training.

 

~Now~

 

Kibuto is now waiting for the tournament to begin. He then thought, Mother, I will find you, no matter what it takes. When he finds his mother, he will be complete again.

[Daxter]

"Alright contestants!" The announcer ran out into the middle of the ring. "It is now time to begin the tournament!" The annoucer sounded more excited than the fans did, but thats what he gets paid for. "Ok, lets start this off with our first match, we have our champion, Hadeus! V.S a new contestant, Kumta!" Hadeus walked out into the ring and saw a very big man was walking behind him. Not big muscle wise, but very fat. The man was just laughing, even though there was nothing funny about what is going to happen here. Hadeus could tell this man was human, so he would be almost no threat at all.

 

"Well fans, if Hadeus loses, than the winner of this whole tournament will become the new champion!"

 

He ran out of the ring and a bell rang. Kumta began walking towards Hadeus, who didn't move at all. Kumta grabbed ahold of Hadeus's face and slammed him straight into the ground. Hadeus tried to get up, but Kumta grabbed the back of his neck and his back and threw him across the ring. Hadeus landed with a thud and most people thought he was out. He got up and wiped some blood from his face. Kumta began to slowly run over to Hadeus to finish the fight.

 

"Game over." Hadeus calmly said. He then ran at Kumta and when he was right infront of him, he jumped in the air and slammed his foot on top of Kumta's head. When Kumta began to stumble, Hadeus punched him in the stomache. Kumta fell to his knees, groaning in pain. Hadeus turned around and then swung his leg at lightning speed and smashed Kumta in the face and he flew out of the ring.

 

The crowd was silent for a moment, almost stunned. Then a roar of screaming fans started as Hadeus left the stage and Kumta was picked up by almost 10 paramedics and taken for medical attention.

 

"Uh ok....ok... fans we will have a 10 minute intermission untill the next round."

[Hotaru987]

Maharu's eyes widened. "That was fast.....I guess he's the champion for a reason....But he's still human..." She muttered, although not believing herself in the slightest. There was something that set her off about him, and it told her to be very weary of that man. I guess you could call it a warrior's instinct. "I guess I'll just have to wait. Hopefully I won't have to fight him anytime soon. I want to see what else he's capible of."

 

Ooc: Riddler, will you be assigning all of the fights, and controling the person we fight? Or are we supposed to do that ourselves?

Yuren, after reaching the city, saw a local tournament being held nearby. "Huh, whoa a tournament?! Aw man, I wish I could've known about this sooner. Oh well, might as well check it out from an audience's viewpoint." Yuren stated to himself as he ran towards the stadium. As Yuren entered the stadium, he sat down on the benches and awaited the tournament to begin. "Alright, hehe, can't wait till this starts, I just wished I could've been part of this tournament though...." Yuren stated to himself as he continued to stare at the stadium.

Santo had been walking for quite awhile now, as he had no idea of where this tournament was being held. Finally, he saw a quite large gathering of people who were seemingly focused on something, so he decided to go and check it out. Walking into the massive crowd, he managed to get a glimpse of a human being tossed out of a arena by another one. "Keh, so this is what these "tournaments" are all about..." he said, about to leave when he sensed a familiar Ki trace... a Saiyan's!

 

W-What?! That man, up there...... is he... a Saiyan?! No, I can't be. I thought I was the only Saiyan around here, but apparently, there are more than me on this planet. It seems that this planet is quite full of weird things. Keh... so if a Saiyan is in the tournament, I guess it could turn up my interests...

 

Smirking for himself, Santo went towards the registration board, and slammed his hand down on the table, to wake the seemingly sleeping man behind the board. "You! I would like to registrate for the tournament!" he demanded, fire seemingly burning in his eyes. "If you decline my demand... I'll slit your throat with my bare hands. Got it, human?"

[Hotaru987]

"Alright! Time for our next exciting match up!" The announcer said into the mic, once again in the middle of the ring. "Will Maharu and Junko come to the stage!" Maharu grinned punching her right hand into the palm of her left. "This is gonna be a cake walk." Suddenly a large shadow casted over here, and a deep chuckle was heard. Maharu looked over her shoulder, and saw a tall, burly man. He was at least 6 feet in height with a bald head, but the beard he sported made up for that. He only wore a pair of tight black shorts.

 

"Listen here little girl, you should just give up before you get hurt. This aint no beauty contest."

 

Maharu glared, "Good thing, because you'd lose in a heartbeat." She shot back before making her way to the arena. She could feel the anger radiating off of her competitor but ignored him. She kept her eyes locked on him, as the announcer said something else before ringing the gong, signifying the start of her fight. "Well, little girl, you asked for it!" Junko yelled running towards her.

 

She almost wanted to laugh at how slow he was moving. "Bigger doesn't always mean better." She muttered to herself; remembering the words of her father, "Because if you have speed, then their power is useless." Seconds later she ducked under the large fist coming her way, and rolled through his legs. Once on the other side she took advantage of Junko being off balance, jumped up so she was leveled with the middle of his back, and did a spinning back kick instantly sending him flying out of the ring. She fought the erge to roll her eyes. It was one of the weakest kicks she had ever thrown, and he had to have the paramedics come get him? These earthlings are so weak. All that went through her head as she was landing back onto the ground.

 

Maharu smirked slapping her hands together, as if cleaning dust off her hands. "Like I said piece of cake." She walked passed the stunned announcer, tapping him on the shoulder. "Um, are you going to announce that I won?"

 

H instantly closed his mouth, and nodded. "W-well it seems like Maharu, our only female contestant, has won her first round! We'll be right back after a short break."

 

Maharu rolled her eyes, and went to the ack ignoring the looks. She couldn't help but grin. I am awesome!!

[Daxter]

Hadeus watched as Maharu made quick work of the big brute she was fighting. Hadeus smiled to himself. "I doubt anybody could even see her quick movements...Except for myself that is." he thought to himself. Hadeus was looking forward to the next few fights, he enjoyed watching fights to see if there was any skill amoung this fighters. Most of them were normally just humans, but they were all weak, and couldn't do much of anything. Well after this tournament, Hadeus believed that he would now know there were more powerful people on earth...some of them maybe dangerous.

[Kōsuke Ueki]

Kibuto watched both battles with boredom. Hm, I can do better than those two! he thought as he sat down. He still wondered about his mother, but he realized it wasn't that big of a deal, for now. Let us hope the next battle is a lot better. I'm really getting impatient about it. Why won't it just happen already? He then got a good glimpse of Maharu. He thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He wishes that he could have a woman like her, maybe actually her. It doesn't matter. As long as he gets to win his first round, he will be fine afterward.

Maharu watched a few of the other fights in complete bordom. "There power levels are so low, I almost feel sorry for them. They don't even have a chance at beating me...Or that Hadeus guy." She smirked as the bigger guy took a tumble. "Although I guess gotta give them props for trying."

 

She smiled and fixed her ponytail, before having a seat against the wall. "I hope my next fight is much better than my last.

[Daxter]

Hadeus was sitting in the back, waiting for the next match to begin. While waiting, a stretcher came through that was holding Kumta came through. The fat man groaned as he opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was Hadeus. "He..He's not human..." Kumta groaned then passed out. Hadeus smirked to himself. The paramedics who were holding him all looked very out of shape and tired, the man must have been almost 700 pounds of stupid.

 

"Alright contestants!" The announcer yelled, Hadeus knew the next match was about to begin. So he walked out, ready to watch the fight.

[Kōsuke Ueki]

Kibuto stood up after waiting for so long. Finally, my turn. he thought. "Ladies and Gentlemen!" yelled the announcer. "We are about to begin our next match!" The audience began to cheer very loudly. "Our first fighter is a legend in Karma City. He is Goro, the 'Top Shot' Warrior!" Only half of the audience cheered due to Goro's lack of popularity in this city. Then the announcer saw Kibuto walking up to the ring. "W-What?" he asked himself, not in the mic. He then spoke very nervously to the audience, "A-And his opponent..." He clears and refocuses himself. "He has lost every Semi-Final Match before the Finals. He is the great Kibuto Chikaru!" The audience roared with excitement, far more than Hadeus. Kibuto entered the ring and looked at the announcer.

 

He took the mic. "Okay, this year I will make sure to make it to the Finals!" he yells. "I will make sure of it! I've been training long and hard to face the so-called "Champion"." He then gave the mic back to the announcer and looked at his opponent.

 

Goro laughed. "You can't defeat a Top Shot Warrior!" he said to Kibuto. "Hm, we'll see about that you musclebound freak!" Goro got angry. "Ring the bell!"

 

The bell rang and Goro ran towards Kibuto. As Goro threw a punch, Kibuto stopped in an instant. "Wha-?" Kibuto then grabbed his arm and began to spin him around. He kept spinning and spinning until he released his grip, throwing Goro out of the arena. Everyone was shocked, including the announcer.

 

The announcer walked up to Kibuto, raised his arm, and yelled, "The winner!" The audience roared much louder this time. Kibuto grabbed the mic again. "Look out, "Champion", I'm coming after you!" The announcer took the mic back and said, "We will have a 5-minute intermission to have our next pair prepare themselves." Kibuto left the ring and entered the Locker Room.

 

Kibuto chuckled. Too easy for me! he thought to himself. That Championship Trophy is as sweet as mine for the taking!

[Daxter]

As Hadeus was watching this fight he began to laugh. He called out in such a loud roar, that everybody could hear him. "Listen to me you paper fighter, just because you can throw around a weak human fighter doesn't mean you stand a chance with me. When this finals start, I will not even have to try and you will be out on your ass!" Hadeus sounded cocky, but he knew he was in a different skill level than Kibuto, by far. "You will bleed, and you will fall." Hadeus walked back into the shadows of the arena where he normally resides and waited. There was only a match between 2 people left, and then the final 4 would be Kibuto, Maharu, Hadeus and whoever wins the next round.

 

The next round was just between 2 guys, neither of them were very skilled at all, the crowd seemed almost no intrest in them at all. There was an older man named Vikol and a young woman named Triest, needless to say, the old man won quite fast. But he was skill weak. So now, the next round was about to begin.

 

"Ok contestants!" Yelled out the announcer, may we please have Kibuto and Maharu please come to the stage?!"

Maharu hopped up, now much more serious since this was the final few fights. She watched Kibuto's fight earlier, and she didn't get much information on him. He got rid of his opponent too fast. The only thing she had to go on, was the tightening in her gut that warned her tobe weary of him.

 

I'm smaller than him, so it's safe to assume that I'll be faster as well. Not only that but he's cocky. Hopefully he'll underestimate me and I can use that to my advantage. I don't think he's a human, so I'll have to be prepared for anything. She thought while smiling innocently towards her opponent. "May the best fighter win, and no hard feelings to the winner, k." She said crossing her armswaiting for the announcer to start the fight.

[Kōsuke Ueki]

Kibuto, although somewhat feeling like he's in love, ignored it and prepared a similar stance like Goku's. This is going to be good. he thought. Although I beat Goro in an instant, she might be a bit of a problem. I'll wait to show some of my power to see what she has up her sleeve. Kibuto was confident, not because he knows he'll find his mother, but that he could win the match, even if he can't sense Maharu's Power Level. Kibuto nodded at Maharu and looked at the announcer with a fearful look. The announcer then ran to the bell and rang it. "Good luck." he told Maharu.

[Hotaru987]

Maharu nodded with a raised eyebrow at the stance he took. It wasn't one she was familiar with, and just by the strength and stability of his stance she knew he was experienced. Probably more than I am...He is older that me, so he more than likely has more fighting experience than I....Crap... As soon as the bell rang, Maharu was in front of him in a second throwing a punch at his gut. A human would've never been able to stop her, and this was his test.

[Kōsuke Ueki]

Kibuto saw that coming. He grabbed the fist at the right time, jumped into the air and threw her to the ground, crashing on impact. Somehow I didn't expect that to happen. he thought. He really didn't want to hurt her, but he didn't want to be soft either. He then slowly descended down to the ground, trying to get a glimpse of Maharu and see whether or not she is able to continue the battle. The smoke cleared and it showed she was on the ground. The announcer saw this and began to count to 10. "1..." he started. "2...3..." I didn't think that would be so easy. Wait a minute!

[Daxter]

Hadeus was watching with upmost intrest in this fight. He knew they were both strong fighters, and both not human fighters. He knew they were very powerful and could put up a good fight, he wasn't really worried. He wasn't cocky, but fighting was his life, that's all he did every day. Fighting was his job, his life, his way to get by. While watching the fight he thought it was interesting how fast they moved, and how the crowd couldn't follow their movements very well. Well whoever wins, would be a very good fight and might even give Hadeus a challenge.
