evilfusion
I follow posts the best I can. The less comprehensible ones get skimmed, which is why I told Blu-Dawn to fix his "multiple characters talking" style. On that note, hey Serenade (and anyone else, I just rememebr a recent incident with one of her posts), could you try paragraphing breaking a bit if you're doing longer posts? This includes in-duels if you're doing a series of plays. It makes it a trillion times easier to follow, making me less-inclined to skim them. Serenade
I'm sorry, really. I am. I'm so used to writing/role-playing in the present tense, and a lot of the actions/dialogue seem to be happening in this like... half tense. Like... it'll happen in the past tense, but be acted as if it JUST happened. I've been more occupied with trying to keep up with proper time than the cleanliness of my posts. I'll work on it. My dialogue style's always been a tad confusing, but I can segment it if you need.

Serenade
Once again, it's a habit. I'm truly sorry. By the way, if you had any plan for this to happen already, what way do plan on giving Kane the indication that Madeline is the one who stole the card? I was kind of curious... I mean, Jane already had her father make him a different card, if you didn't see, but like... is he ever really going to get it back without killing Madeline? .:Blu:.
I wonder if we'll be facing some NPCs first or just dueling/battling monsters with each other?

a coffee
Yes, and he is done for the night around this time, I would assume. Also, as far as the tournament goes, I believe to just ease everyone into the new system and to kind of buffer time as we don't have a lot of normal duelist support and in the very beginning, the Ordo Everto and E6 need a form of diplomatic immunity so that they can be there to matter in the late stages of the tournament, we will be dueling NPC's. evilfusion
I wonder if we'll be facing some NPCs first or just dueling/battling monsters with each other? I think NPCs are more likely at the moment' date=' but I have asked Zai what the plans for the brackets are. He was offline when I sent it, so I didn't get an answer yet. I do know that I'll be controlling NPCs at some point. Again, don't take it so seriously. It's more of a request than a "Blarg, you're doing something wrong! Die!". And as it so happens, I've been mulling that over for a bit, and I do have a few ideas. I will point out, however, that Madeline has next to no subtlety at all and is rather impulsive. She also is very recognizable by her somewhat flirty/seductive manner, the color of her hair, her eye color, and the fact she's LEFT-HANDED. If she and Kane met face to face, whether she's wearing the cloak or not, unless he's thick (debatable, because she stole his card undetected except for Astrum's paranoia), it shouldn't take too long for him to realize it's her. At the moment, I'm toying with the idea of the stolen card being played. Serenade
Now, I'm all for dying for a noble cause that you love, but something tells me that might be taking things just a tad too far. I see, well, EVERYONE has obvious traits. Not to mention as a sin, you require huge falters in personality. I would assume that if not Kane, Jane would pick up on it, being that she was there and that she is a lot more perceptive. She also felt something evil resonating from Madeline during the duel as a part of her gaining her symbol... kind of. As for the card being played, I would assume that would mean Madeline would have to be losing a duel to played a stolen card with zero thought process whatsoever. But at the same time, what if the card couldn't help Madeline and she literally loses the duel she's participating in? I mean, I know some characters will have immunity, but there's definitely a certain limit you can stretch that to.
a coffee
Hey Evil, I know I've been toying around with the idea of Envy coveting Lust, do you actually think that a mutual love interest would ever happen in the RP itself? I wasn't sure how to take that, considering Lust would most likely just bend him around.
Lord JZ of the Enigma
she seems to like toying with Envy, just cause he's the jealous type, she can't get that satisfaction from Pride (who would just take the affection) or Sloth (too lazy to care) but of course, I ain't Lust, I can't decide these things, it's just what I see

evilfusion
Madeline probably has a pretty good idea how he feels, maybe not how strongly he does, and primarily does the flirting more for her own amusement than to actually torture him. Considering her Sin, she acts similarly to others and finds it throws people's focus off. At the moment, I dont think she reciprocates, but it's not impossible for her to do so. @Serenade: I'm not sure why Stardust Dragon would be a last resort card with her type of deck, nor how using it would directly result in losing. In the suggested scenario, she's more likely to play it on PURPOSE just to reveal herself and prompt Kane to go after her, and unless she's facing him, a win or loss wouldn't actually bother her. Suppose in a tournament round, she summoned Stardust in front of everyone, but ultimately lost the duel. She's eliminated from the tournament, but Kane might have to confront her to get his card back, resulting in the desired rematch. She's probably a little steamed he evaded her "death trap" the first time. However, that's hypothetical, I'm still debating how to go about something involving the card. It'll have to be revealed somehow, to avoid being a pointless plot element.
Serenade
Ah... I see. You know, a really big shame to this RP is that just about all of the good RPers are Sins. This RP REALLY lacks quality control, if you ask me personally. It's a shame when I have to wait for either blu-dawn or Zaifire to post because Trimage has so far been useless, Majoras just had to fill in a spot for one of the E6 that applied first and never even posted, and Kuroda has just recently reappeared. But as far as character development plot goes, I had to exploit a love interest ridiculously earlier than I had wanted to, simply because of the fact that I don't want my character to "dry up". At least you guys have something interesting going on over there, geez. A lot of the character plot here seems very... cut and dry. Not to mention we have a few people in the cast that are imperatively important plot out in nowhere land. o_o
Lord JZ of the Enigma
well, I'm a pretty good multi-task RPer, if Zaifire will have it, I could play another, and I can become more active since I have my laptop back
Serenade
Well, there are several double casted people in this RP at the moment, and since all of the E6 are filled up, you would have to play a normal Duelist. Which, at this point in time, kind of looks like we need. Lord JZ of the Enigma
we also need Gluttony, but playing two sins would be less fun.
Serenade
I would almost play Gluttony but a female Gluttony? Â ...Eeeh. Not to mention, I don't Trans-play, so. I'll leave that sin for the public.
Lord JZ of the Enigma
Female Gluttony seems weird, but personally the Gluttony I have in mind is quite different, seems more like greed in my opinion, so I couldn't play it either way....who is Greed anyway? evilfusion
I personally prefer to RP as villain characters. They're cooler, are expected to have certain character flaws, can be more insane/outlandish, and although they're "destined" to be defeated, they give the heroes the biggest fights in the "series". I'm glad Zai let me subvert the "heroes never lose" concept in the first duel. I find heroes to be bland. I like to have fun when I RP and villains let me have fun without having to focus on winning all my matches. Also, I like to play opposite gender characters. One person mentioned that they honestly dont know my gender because I RP as both genders. RPs will always be ht with quality control. Either RP creators aren't selective enough, can't afford to be more selective, or being selective ruins the opportunities for decent RPers to bloom. I used to be mediocre, now I class myself as decent, if not pushing it to say "good". We're just an odd case that the most consistently available people are Sins. And they have predefined character traits and personal history, letting them interact more freely. Greed is BringerofCake, who for some reason, always invokes the image of a Sableye. I'm not sure why.
Lord JZ of the Enigma
that makes a huge amount of sense, normally people have to build a character from the ground up, like Serenade did with Jane, one can't really build them all from just knowing they'll be good. Meanwhile the members of the Sins would all know exactly how they should act, since as Sloth I really shouldn't be skydiving.
Barian Warlord
Right now my guy is really nervous, he's going to raise his spirits after his first duel but right now it would be nice if someone could come up and talk to him.
