Touhou is a series of games, yes. As of now, there are a total of 12 games in the main series, and I think 6 official spin-off games. There are also a number of music CDs he's released as part of the Touhou series too.

Whenever I see someone request Touhou music, they just say the game is called Touhou. Are all six (or twelve) games called Touhou, or do they have specific names, like Zelda or Kirby?

 

Anyways, I'll listen to that song in a sec. I've been wanting to add something from Touhou for awhile.

 

Updates in about an hour. When I leave for vacation, DO NOT LET THIS THREAD DIE. I want to see at least two pages of pure requests while I'm gone.

I believe they all have specific names, I just forget to post them when I do post some Touhou songs. I don't play the game myself, but they have some wonderful songs.

 

And I'll be sure to get as many songs as I can.

 

 

I love this song. Can't stop listening to it half the time, and the other half is consumed by Portal's 'Still Alive.'

I honestly don't know if this will count towards the Video Game music' date=' but it is from a video game, Portal to be exact, and I have to at least try. YouRequest for this one.

 

 

This is right after you fight GLaDOS, and to do this you would knock random parts of her off of the main body, and incinerate them. Four cores, Intelligence, Anger, Curiosity, and Morality. So, as you burn them, you're causing her pain. Needless to say, when you hear her sing this song, you kind of get this weird feeling. Mainly when she starts saying, "And believe me I am still alive. I'm doing Science and I'm still alive. I feel FANTASTIC and I'm still alive. While you're dying I'll be still alive. And when you're dead I will be still alive." I don't know about you, but that just freaks me out. I don't know why, but maybe it's just the overall tone of the song, and then you hear GLaDOS singing this. It's a wonderful song, and the lyrics really do fit it.

 

I don't care how long this takes, I WILL get this into YouRequest.

 

I love this song. <3

Also, we are at our 121-song mark. MEANING WE HAVE ONE SONG FOR EACH STAR IN SUPER LUIGI GALAXY.

 

30 more to go. Have we decided who (if anyone) will take over this thread after I leave? If you want this thread to die, that's fine, but kind of saddening.

Maybe you should play a game. Remember the quote pyramid between Saint Dane and 0-Chill? All of you (seven or eight people) do that, but without quotes. Have a VGM battle, if you will. :3

Me or Clair were the shortlists if I remember.

 

 

Due to the fact that 8 Eyes is quite an obscure game (two-player Castlevania rip-off starring a magical hawk in the aftermath of a nuclear disaster) you can't find it's music on Youtube. So I found 2 Mario Paint versions of my song choices (made using a NES soundfont) that are as faithful to the OST as possible. 8 Eyes was a mediocre game at best, but it's music shone due to the genius of it's composer - Kenzou Kumei. Kumei was said to be inspired by opera and symphonies when he wrote the soundtrack for 8 Eyes and it really shows, particularly in the Opening Theme.
