The Video Game Music Station

I know it makes it a tad easier for me, but please don't. Just post the song name and the YouTube link; don't bother using the embed code. Otherwise this place will get really cluttered.

I have the update ready, but I can't do it now. I'm still figuring out this damn forum, so just wait until tomorrow, if you can. If you can't, too bad.

This doesn't sound like typical music you would shoot hoops to, and I find that awesome. Why? Because I hate basketball. However, this track has my love, and I just can't stop listening to it. "Rainbow Ship" sounds like something out of a Kingdom Hearts game. It has beautiful orchestration and and tense beat in the beginning. Hell, this music sounds like it would be better suited for a boss fight against a giant enemy cra- *shot*. All jokes aside, this is, again, an amazing track and I encourage you to take a listen. My favorite part occurs when they include the vocal echoes. It sounds so mystifying and eerie. I love it. All of these elements, combined into this one track, blend into a beautiful symphony of sound. I've been humming this all day, and it's causing me to lose friends. If you know what's good for you, however, you must take a listen to this amazing piece.

I actually have that game, and never noticed the music. :/

A bit lengthy there, Clair, but it's fine.

Also, I'm working on getting the thread updated. With the new forum host, there are changed tags, and as such, I'll need to accomodate for that.

Alright, we're back in business! I've updated Page Seven (Post 121) with the six new songs, and just overall fixed the scripting of the song pages.

Sadly, however, I must state now that I will be closing this thread on our 151st song. Then I will ask Opalmoon if this thread can turn into a Video Game Music sharing thread, with the 151 songs as a guideline.

Along with songs, you can also discuss here who is apt enough to make a remake, if anybody wants to. I don't care if a remake of this is made, I really don't. If it is, that means this thread can die into oblivion, pretty much.

I'd make it 121, but that is ending the thread wayyy earlier than I had planned. Roughly 57 or 58 more songs left, so at one update per day (or rather, two per two days), there is less than a month left of this thread. Considering I'll be gone for vacation a few days, that means this thread will be over roughly the week my school starts. Or maybe even earlier. Eh, it's been a fun ride, but I can't continue this longer.

I nominate either Clair or Saint Dane to take over this thread, if they want.

And yeah, moar requests. =)

Moer requests you say? VERY WELL THEN! :D

Man, I am so glad I subscribed to this guy for no reason. If I didn't, I would have never heard this song. It's got a nice beat to it, and it even seems to get a darker undertone, or maybe that's just me. To me, that shows the two sides of magic, the good, and the ever present insanity of it. It seems as if this guy crafts something, and if I were to guess what he crafts, I would say tropical chairs and such. Not only does it have the darker tone in the background, it sounds like something you would hear on a vacation to a tropical island. I haven't play Spyro the Dragon, but this music certainly is wonderful.

As I said with the last song, this song also seems like it would be played on a tropical island. Although, that may be due to the fact that's where most of this game takes place. Super Mario Sunshine is often considered a black sheep to the rest of the Mario series (much like Super Mario Bros. 2) and it has wonderful music. While I didn't like finding Blue Coins in this level, or the poisoned water for that matter, I did love to come here just to hear the music, and who can blame me? Wonderful music, great game, not so awesome fetch quests.

I think there should be a station for the small jingles that are in video games, like the LoZ item get, the PKMN healing sound, or the FF victory theme.

Clair asked me to request, so i shall. You can't go wrong with this game, right? Listen to any battle track, Fate, Cumbersome Guys, Porky's Pokey's, every one, epic as Strawberry Tofu. OK, not really, but back on topic. This song is pure win. The 2 people who dislike it can rot in the Cave of the Past for the rest of there lives. Brawl version's not bad, but NoA f***** up and named it the Love Theme, there are some traces, wait, going off topic again... Where was i again? Ah, yes, if you don't smile listening to it, you are Heartless. Mother 3 had some great tracks, this one is probably the best. If Clair wishes to change any of this, go right ahead and do so.

This not being in the station or even being submitted is a huge surprise and an outrage in my opinion. One of the finest 8-bit themes of all time, this manages to cram in so many different genres, from a bluesy little licks (I love my blues) to the song itself, a beautiful classical achievement in VGM, made even more special by the limitations of 8-bit compositions. What a fantastic song.

Eternal Sonata - A Flicker Which Divides Light and Darkness

Eternal Sonata - Pressure

Eternal Sonata - Innumerable Animals

Eternal Sonata - The Mediocrity Sought Out by Everyone

Eternal Sonata Music - Underground for Underhand

Listen to any of these and tell me that they are not wonderful. I don't even have to say anything, this game's music speaks for itself. The game itself is based upon Chopin, as odd as that may seem, and as such, the music had so much effort put into it. Just listen.
