Metal Gear Solid - The Best is Yet to Come (GEN/YR)

 

Yes. This song has vocals. However, I never felt as if the vocals intruded upon the music. In fact, they made this piece better. Please give it a chance. This song plays in the credits of Metal Gear Solid, and it totally deserves to be there. This piece reminds me of peace after war, and solace in the fact that you now get to go back home. This track includes a pan flute line, making it epic. However, you must listen to a good portion of this song before you judge it. The best part occurs late. ^^

Screw Sacrifice. This is the single most saddening Pokemon song, in my opinion. Your partner Pokemon is walking along the beach to a beautiful sunset, when suddenly he comes across the spot where he rescued you. Your partner looks out across the ocean, reminiscing about how you two always stuck together and worked as a team. This is done in a beautiful montage, accompianied by this track. At the end of the piece, your partner Pokemon breaks down in tears. After all, you're only a memory now...

I am going to be persistent and recommend this song again. I grew up with this music and Blaster Master. Often, I would turn the game on and leave it at the forest stage, just to listen to the music. I think what I like most about this piece is its driving 8-bit beat, so classic and so good on the ears. This track represents the music of the golden NES era of gaming.

This piece is on my YouTube channel as a favorite, and for good reason. The author cleverly combined her remix of EarthBound Zero's "Fallin' Love" with the original piece. The result is a moving fusion of old and new, and I think it's beautiful. I love how well the remixed version compliments the 8-Bit original. This mix is so peaceful, and it holds up the Mother series's musical standards to a tee.

A Colosseum song. Please add it. The Pokemon game on the GCN was overlooked, but even more so was the music it contained. This song, for instance, embodies an epic spirit within. It sounds so beautifully orchestrated, and it's a perfect fit for battling a higher-up. The music still maintains that classic Pokemon feel, but I just cannot get over how epic this sounds. This track proves that not all battle tracks have to be fast-paced. Could you imagine taking Giovanni down to this piece? It gives me chills just thinking about it!
