Actually... There's a Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann video game.

 

If I have to explain further, that means there's the Anti-Spirals. That means there's the Grand Zamboa, which is 10 million light years tall.

 

The Grand Zamboa is a boss.

 

And you also try to argue that SotC has better music than FE? My inner nerd disagrees.

Majora's Mask Ikana Castle.

 

YES, YES, YESH. Listen to this song, and imagine a castle that is slowly falling into a state of disrepair. Inside lies Redeads (You know, the screeching humping mummies.) and Gibdos (The Redeads wrapped in bandages.) As you make your way through this castle, you notice the state it's in. Nothing seems complete anymore, all because of time, and a war. When you finally make it to the chamber of King Igos du Ikana. You have a fight! And what does the King say? "And now I will show you, just what kind of thing true darkness is!" And the fight ensues.

Super Paper Mario -

 

This is certainly 8-bit music at its finest. While it is strange to hear that about a game for the Wii, so it is. This dark song of sadness perfectly conveys the air of the domain you're in and the feelings of its ruler, Count Bleck. A ticking clock can be heard in the background, signifying the countdown to when you must save Count Bleck from himself. Let'sa go!

 

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn -

 

From the moment the song begins, you can hear the strength in it, and you can feel the strength of the one to whom this song belongs. The Black Knight: general of Daien, within its boundaries second in skill only to its Mad King. This song plays whenever one fights this invincible warrior, and it is fitting indeed. The instruments blend together perfectly, creating a song that will give you chills when you listen to it.

OKAY, SOME SUGGESTIONS

 

Metal Gear Solid - The Best is Yet to Come (GEN/YR)

 

Yeah, yeah. I know you don't need any more General music. However, the lack of non-Nintendo VGM and the lack of vocal VGM compelled me to post this track, the credits music from Metal Gear Solid for Play Station. This has got to be the most peaceful music I have ever heard, and I've heard a lot of peaceful music. It reminds me that the war is over, and the "best is yet to come". This song is very relaxing, and I encourage you to listen to a good portion of it before you judge it.

Whoever decided to do this wins at life. Imagine taking a great track of music and converting it to 8-Bit. This track didn't disappoint. This is some of the greatest retro sound I have ever heard, and the music manages to keep the Japanese feel of the original music while mixing in some old mechanical beats to satiate old-school gamers.

If you decide to use one of these three songs, I'm hoping you will choose this one. It is still the only VGM that has caused me to tear up. Firstly, this should not be music for a final boss battle. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you who you are facing while this music plays, but I can assure you that it sure is sad. This track is among the most peaceful tracks I've ever heard, as it morphs into a saddened version of the "Mother 3 Love Theme". This game touched me on a personal level, reminding me that you should take nothing for granted. This music played a big part in that. I really hope you pick it.

"Mist", from Persona 4, composer Shoji Meguro

 

Plays during the first form of the Final Boss, whom you can only reach after hours of putting pieces together and carefully dissuading your entire party from making one wrong decision that would result in the Bad Ending. The fact the game almost encourages you to fail and never reach this part makes this song feel like "You've actually done it, now kick its ass!"

I find it extremely rewarding and it really pumps you up for the very last battle.

Well, not necessarily. If I can get the updates before midnight, then the lashes are null. But sadly, I probably won't.

 

I can get the updates after midnight, and give you like six to make up for the past few days. I do apologize for the dearth of updates, but I've been busy with a lot of things.

 

I'mma get back in routine and start updating daily, so don't worry. =)

So, five updates today. I have two guaranteed ones in mind; the other three are pretty much grab bag.

 

Next channel will be for two types of music:

 

~ Instrumental (piano, mainly, but also guitar, ocarina, etc.) covers of video game songs.

~ Real-life songs turned into 8-bit pieces.

 

Any names in mind?

Both types of songs will be combined into one station, due to the lack of decent material for either.

 

I was thinking of doing a "Nontendo" station (non-Nintendo music), but again, material is lacking and many games are cross-console.

 

I lied, six updates today. Sadly, three of those updates are for GMS. In the ensuing days I promise to update the other stations, since having 50 GMS songs and like 10 TN or YR songs is stupid. D':

 

I just realized. Is Toy Time Galaxy music missing, or was it never there and I'm going crazy? I swear I saw it once...

 

The music sounds familiar, but I never remember updating the thread with it. :/

 

EDIT: Updated, we now have 64 songs. NINTENDO 64 FTFW.
