Stupid theory. FUNimation is more than likely doing nothing more than having a change in their board of directors through this, similar to Google buying YouTube and Disney buying Marvel. They aren't looking to sell themselves out to another anime company who could potentially ruin them; they aren't stupid. I doubt that if they get sold there will be much of a change.
