Welcome, Players, to Shadow's Verdict.

Shadow's Verdict is possibly the greatest event I have ever planned. It is a large-scale card creation contest, accepting any number of participants and offering great prizes. It will require more than just card creating skills; you will need a sense of tactics and strategy. I cannot offer a name change; that is beyond my power. I am, after all, just like all of you.

The First Round: Promises of Power

Participants: Any number.

Progressors: Eight.

Prize for Progress: 300 points.

Promises of Power is the predetermining stage, where the final eight participants will be chosen. You will be both players and judges.

To participate in Promises of Power, you must do the following:

• Create a theme for a card set.

• Create exactly three cards belonging to that theme.

• Submit your theme and cards to me, either in this thread or via PM. Written cards are accepted.

From the start of the event, you will have eleven days to submit your theme and cards. After that, submission is cancelled and the voting begins. All themes and cards will be revealed in this post, anonymously. The voting round lasts for ten days or until all participants have submitted their votes, whichever comes first.

• Each participant has two votes: One Red Vote and one Green Vote. Red Votes can be given to any Player, and are the only mandatory votes. The Green Vote, on the other hand, can only be given to a player who already has a vote. If you place your Green Vote on a Player who has no Red Votes at the counting time, (at the end of the 21st day) that vote will not be counted. After a vote is placed, it can be changed for twenty-four hours. A vote can only be changed once.

Some of you might ask a question here: "What are we voting for? What's the point in all of this?" Very good questions, with simple answers. The eight themes that receive the highest amount of votes, and their creators, will move on to the Second Round: Seize the Throne. More will be revealed at that time.

Progress: null

Reservations have a lifespan of exactly three days; should you fail to submit a theme within three days of the reservation time, your reservation will be discarded. All reservations are automatically discarded at the end of the eleventh day.

Any questions can be asked here or via PM.

Best of luck, Participants.

Sweet deal.
This card gets these effects, based on the number of Psychic-type monsters you control. - 1+: Once per turn, you can increase the Level of 1 face-up Psychic-type monster by 2 until the End Phase. - 2+: Whenever you would pay Life Points for the effect of a Psychic-type monster, you can instead decrease the ATK of 1 Psychic-type monster you control by an amount equal to the amount Life Points you would have paid. - 3+: Once per turn, you can select up to 2 of your removed from play Psychic-type monsters and shuffle them into your Deck. Then, draw 1 card. - 4+: This card cannot be destroyed by other card effects. - 5: Destroy this card.
