The year is 2500 and the technology that the human race has designed is at its maximum potential.

However, the human race, is in grave danger.

Deep in the depths of a forbidden dimension, the Space Deity and the Time Deity are waiting. They have been watching over the current universe for many a millenia.

They are unhappy with the way that the human civilization is treating the world, and are going to put them to the test.

They will select a few people from the world and will take them to their dimension. Here is where the journey shall begin, here is where lives will be lost. Here is where the destruction of the universe begins.

Rules:

1. All Standard YCM RP Rules apply.

2. Once you enter this RP you must remain active.

3. I will determine the plot. However if you have good ideas, PM me.

4. No God modding.

GOGOGO.

And now for my opening post:

Shinigami Kuura was a shy child. Never knowing who his parents were. He bounded along the streets of Neo Domino city like he does every day, with his deck in one hand, duel disk on the other. He hadn't had a duel in so long, he eagerly would watch young children on street corners dueling with their decks. How he envied them.

He wished he could duel, one last time.

Lance stood on the roof of a large coporate office. He looked towards the sky, his face showing a sorrowful expression. "The sky today......... it's so blue........" Lance stated as he continued to watch the sky. Clouds drifted along endlessly while birds soared through without a care in the world. "Humph....... it must be nice...... to not have a care in the world......" Lance stated. Lance then made his way down the stairs and after awhile, made it to the streets. "What should I do now I wonder?" Lance asked himself as he held up his duel disk and stared at it.

Haaris looked out his bedroom window as the sun glared in his eyes. He looked over to his bed side table and picked up his duel disk. He reached into his pocket pulled out his deck and placed it into the duel disk's deck slot.

"Todays the day." Haaris thought to himself. Haaris was finally going to put a stop to his neighborhood bully. Haaris picked up the top two cards of his deck one being "Rainbow Dragon"and one being "Hamon Lord of Striking Thunder". Haaris felt that they represented his emotions Hope and Anger respectively. He placed the two cards back in his deck and ran out his front door.

Michael awoke in his very cheap hotelroom. "Ok." he thought to himself. "All I need is a few more bucks and I can pay to stay here another week. I should be able to find some duelists to take down." Michael didn't enjoy gambling with duel monsters, but it was the only way he could survive. Losing meant dieing for him. He left out the door and began to walk around, hoping he would be lucky enough to stumble upon someone he could duel, and could get some cash from.

Max woke up at the shop he works at and said to himself "Whats next?". He went outside for a walk thinking on how he will get his "Judgment Dragon". He saw a street with people dueling and decided to join in. While he was walking he found a card called "Necro Gardna". Max thinks to himself "I might be needing this card" and walks to the street with the duelists.

Shinigami stepped carried on walking along the street, he stepped out into the road. As he walked along the road his deck fell out of his deck box and scattered all over the floor.

Embaressed, Shinigami quickly gathered everything up only to notice a car was coming his way! The car swerved around him running over his Heavy Storm.

Annoyed, he got up and dusted himself off, and carried on his way.

He now stood outside the hotel where Michael was staying...

Jenna couldn't have asked for a better morning. She had been up at early dawn and had spent the first hours before daybreak observing the insects and spiders living in the grove of trees just outside the city. It was always so soothing to see, that although technology and industry had become so widespread, there were still refuges for the smaller creatures if one ever bothered to look.

The young woman smiled as she returned to the bustling city, jotting down the last details of a spider sketch she had drawn earlier. Although her inspiration was no longer in her sightline, she could remember the details as vividly as a fond memory. She paused to take a moment and examine the drawing, and then carefully returned the sketchpad to her jeans pocket. She brushed a long strand of her shoulder-length brown hair from her face and wandered down the city streets, sticking to the safety of the curb.

Dotted among the city were Duel Monsters players, mostly children, happily engaging in their everyday duels. Jenna paused a moment to watch a duel between a father and his son, feeling a momentary flicker of discomfort in her stomach as the two laughed together at the game's conclusion. She smiled blandly and continued on her way, no set destination in mind. She loved the mornings for the mild serenity it had on the city.

She stopped at her favorite coffee shop for a drink, and sat at one of the patio-side tables, sipping occasionally from a tall to-go cup. On the table, she laid out her deck. Although she knew her deck near perfectly, she could never resist taking it out every so often and looking over the creatures the cards portrayed. It filled her with a strange sense of calm that she suspected many duelists and even non-duelists felt for their hobbies and passions.

Shinigami brushed himself off and walked into the hotel, here he would visit an old friend of his. And there would possibly give him an oppirtunity to duel him.

He walked inside the hotel, spoke to the receptionist and walked towards the staircase. Finally he would be able to see his friend again.

Lance soon made his way towards a nearby cafe. Inside, Lance ordered a drink and sat quietly while staring into the sky. "{Sigh} Today sure is going by slow........ I have nothing to do...... maybe find someone to duel?....... Humph, but it's rare these days to see adults dueling, it's more kids oriented now........" Lance stated as he took a sip of his coffee. After he was finished, Lance stood up from his seat and made his way outside. He decided to go to the park and spend a quiet afternoon watching other children dueling each other. "Those were the days......" Lance stated quietly to himself as he looked at the children in the park dueling with one another.

Halfway through her coffee, Jenna's mood only continued to escalate. It could be from the beautiful morning they had been having this morning, the truly excellent coffee the shop carried, or just the usual warm feeling she received whenever she was studying or using her cards. She arranged the cards on the table for a few more minutes, finally stacking them into piles until her deck had been reconstructed. She shuffled the cards briefly and returned them to her deckbox.

She stood up and left a tip on the table, leaving and walking again. With her spirits so high, she was content to go wherever her feet carried her. Sometimes it led her to the library, or the park, or the outskirts of the city. Usually she could find something to interest her, but now...now she wanted to see someone else, maybe chat for a few minutes or whatnot. She sipped from her still half-filled cup and continued her walk, casting curious glances at passing people.

One person in particular caught her eye. At first, she couldn't place why, but after a short lookover, she at first thought it was because he seemed to be about her age, but following a few more seconds of consideration decided it was the look in his eye. He seemed...restless, and from the way he held a Duel Disk on his arm, she could guess why. She chuckled to herself. To some people, particularly the young adult crowd, the game had lost a bit of the "coolness" factor it had once held and people had begun to think of it as more of a casual children's game, despite the card game was considered a staple in the entertainment business and skilled players could make a career from arena duels.

She herself rarely took the game too seriously, considering it an exciting hobby more than a career opportunity. Hesitating no longer, she walked nearer, clearing her throat softly. "Nice morning, isn't it?" she asked, gesturing casually to the shining sun.

Lance stared at the girl and then at the sky above. "Actually it is....... It's peaceful........ And the sky is so blue today........ {Sigh} However my morning has not been one of peace I'm afraid......." Lance stated as he closed his eyes. He then reopened it and looked at the girl. "I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself....... I'm Lance...... it's a pleasure to meet someone with my same view of today's morning........" Lance stated as he gave a smile to the girl. His smile was noticeably weak however, and his face didn't showed much signs of life. Lance awaited a response as he held out his hand for a handshake.

Inside the park, where children were playing, little Timmy noticed a green lightning bolt arced through the air for a split-second. He went over to where it was, when two more circled around him. His mother quickly grabbed him as more and more green lightning appeared, which caused people to panic and run away from the event. Some of it started to coalesce into a shimemring gren sphere, which then grew bigger and bigger as it became brighter and brighter.

Eventually, the sphere erupted into a massive burst of light as an electromagnetic pulse rushed through the area, frying devices for hundreds of yar from the peicenter. Where the playground once stood, a gaping crater had appeared, with a woman in a strange rubbery bodysuit in the middle. She had red and black hair in a style that combined Akiza and Yusei's hairdos, along with a scarred blue right eye and a normal golden left eye. Her bodysuit followed her color theme, being alternating red and black, but she also had a sleeveless trenchcoat with various symbols etched into it, being white with black symbols on her left side, and black with white symbols on her right. She also had three belts on either upper arm, a la Seto Kaiba.

She looked around at the soldiers and media surrounding her and innocently asked "I come in peace?"

"I'm Jenna," she replied, accepting the handshake and smiling a little. She was known to have a surprisingly firm and confident handshake for those unfamiliar with her. This Lance guy was a little odd, she had to admit. She supposed it had to do with his unnecessarily long hesitations while speaking, as if he was either unable to come up with the thoughts he wanted or just was thinking too long. However, she didn't find it necessary to think too deeply upon that.

"I'm rather fond of most mornings," she admitted, gazing around for a few moments. "Although, you said yours hasn't been that well. Why is that?"

((You to do realize this is the same park just across the street, right?))

The police aimed their weapons at the strange woman, who then raised her hands as a visor formed over her eyes.

"Say hello to my little friend!"

Something happened with the bulge on her left arm, and a cute little red dragon with white and black armoring appeared out of nowhere and popped a fireball at the frightened police.

The woman seemed a bit disappointed, so she cried out "Alright! Say hello to my much bigger friend!"

A huge golden dragon, also with white and black armoring, descended from the sky, and fired a laser beam at the cops from its mouth, causing them to run away.

The dragons disappeared as the woman climbed out of the crater and surveryed the cityscape, her eyes agape.

Lance stared at Jenna intently as she finished asking her question. "I'm sorry about my long pauses...... it's just...... well, it's just how I am I guess...... I wasn't always like this...... but well, it's kind of personal......" Lance stated as his face showed hints of sadness. Lance then stood up from the bench and gave a halfhearted smile. "Umm, would it be better if I talk like this?" Lance asked. Just then he noticed a commotion from across the street. "What was that just now? We should go see the commotion." Lance stated as he ran across the street into another part of the huge park. When he got there, Lance noticed a huge crater in the ground. "What just happened?" Lance asked himself as he awaited Jenna to arrive.

The woman seemed to be staring at the buildings, but she turned back to face Jenna a few seconds after the girl asked "Hello?". The woman smiled, and grabbed Jenna's hand, which she started to shake vigorously.

"Hi! My name is Itsu Solace! Nice to meet you!"

However, what Jenna heard was some sort of unintelligible chattering that roughly sounded like what she was used to, but she could only get a few basic words.

"Hmm...you seem to be reacting to what I'm saying oddly. Maybe there's a language barrier or something. Could you please tell me what dialect you speak?"

Jenna still seemed dumbfounded.

"What. Lang-goo-age. Do. You. Speak?" Itsu emphasized her slow and steady speech by using hand motions and gestures to convery her meaning.

((Something that RPs rarely have to deal with: a language problem.))

((And I'm going to bed.))

((A small issue with previous post, consider the italics occuring between Lance and Itsu's scenes))

Jenna nodded thoughtfully. Whatever the reason, she didn't feel it prudent to press the matter. The sounds of shouting caught her notice, and she was only dimly aware of Lance acknowledging the matter before he raced off to find out what the commotion was. Instinctively, Jenna hurried in that direction as well, not so much focusing on the young man ahead of her, and more on the sounds she was hearing.

In the years she had spent growing up in the city, she had never before been near the vicinity of a crime or similar scene. This left her fumbling for an explanation for the shouting and general state of panic. Could it be a mugger? Or an accident of some sort?

However, something told her to take a different path. Scenes that drew attention tended to become crowded or blocked off...

Until she had run into this odd woman. Her clothing and style were like nothing Jenna had ever seen before. Wary, but careful not to affront the eccentric woman, Jenna called a tenative "Hello?"

To Jenna's alarm, the woman had turned suddenly, shook her hand vigorous and started talking in some incoherent speech.

Despite her absolute bewilderment, Jenna at the very least could grasp that the woman was TRYING to communicate, but thus far she couldn't make heads nor tail of the meaning.

"I can't understand you," Jenna said blankly, praying to the second deity she could think of (she wasn't sure if Earthbound God Uru counted) that the woman wasn't an insane person about to rob her blind, kill her, or do anything else particularly violent. After such a commotion before this stranger's appearance, she wasn't sure what to think.

"Hey girl what you up to" a boy named Joel said as he shoved the lady out of the way "GO!" he shouted as the lady ran off. "Are you okay??" Joel asked as he heard noises, "Crap! it's my father!" Joel said as he was running away looking back and fourth seeing if anyone was following him as he ran and climbed onto a tree!

"Get do-wnnn from t-errree" Jenna said as Joel poked his head out from the leaves as he looked down just staring at the sky as he fell down to the ground all bruised and bleeding from the broken glass that was under him... Joel's pupils in his eyes had disappeared as he was staring blankly at the sky!

((Jagay, there's a rule against controlling someone else's character. Don't make me report you.))

Itsu smiled as her algorithm completed itself. She played back all of the previous conversations, and understood what had happened.

Itsu moved faster than Joel or Jenna could, and karate chopped him precisely in the jugular, and jabbed her pointer and middle fingers into precise locations on his bod, causing him to get knocked unconscious. She returned to facing Jenna.

"Sorry about that." Itsu replied, speaking the same language Jenna and Joel did perfectly. "My name is Itsu Solace. You could say I'm a bit of a traveller."

Jenna blinked twice, but found near instant relief in the fact she could now, for some reason, perfectly understand the strange woman. She wasn't immediately sure whether this was reassuring, as she had heard of people rambling in gibberish and then being completely normal the next. Choosing to pretend nothing had happened, for the sake of her peace of mind, she gave 'Itsu' a small smile.

"Uh, hi. I'm Jenna. Nice to meet you." The handshake aspect of their meeting had already occurred, so she left that idea alone.

((I didn't even accept you. dick.))

Shinigami, now having finished his duel, strolled out across the road again, a car beeping it's horn at him because he wasn't looking where he was going.

He walked down the road and into the park where Jenna and Itsu were standing.

He walked into the park, fell over and spilt his deck everywhere. again.

"Oh, I'm such a clutz..."

Jenna's attention shifted at the sound of a soft thud. She looked over and spotted someone who had evidently fallen over, several duel cards scattered on the ground before him. He seemed to be close to her age, maybe a little older, but she really couldn't tell. Guessing ages was never her strong point.

She walked over, holding up a finger to Itsu as an indirect way of excusing herself for a few moments. "Hey, you okay?" she asked, bending down and helping to scoop up the fallen cards. People who walked by others instead of offering to help tended to touch a nerve. It was simply good manners, and watching instead of helping was a mild form of sadism.

Itsu pressed her hand against the emerald amulet around her neck, and Shinigami suddenly started rewinding, until just before he tripped. Itsu made sure that his mind wasn't rewound, so he would be able to not trip on the crack in the pavement.

"Sorry if I shocked you!" Itsu apologized. "I just decided that rewinding your body to just before you dropped your deck would be a good way of helping! And Jenna, I had no intention of outdoing you." She walked up to Shinigami. "I'm Itsu Solace, time traveller and interdimensional troubleshooter, at your service!"

Why do I feel like I'm going to develop a headache if I think into this too much? Jenna wondered. She took a deep breath and refocused partly on Itsu, but kept a portion of her attention on the other guy, who she didn't know yet.

"Uh...no problem...I guess," she said uncertainly. She considered what just happened COULD be passed off as a hallucination if she willed it to be, but the rational portion of her brain instantly dismissed it. No, there was something very peculiar about this woman, but she didn't seem genuinely crazy, like the homeless women with shopping bags that live in alleys or anything like that.
