J-Max
My best friend runs a Ebay shop and I was wondering how strict the rules are on External Links. I wanted to add a Link to my Sig to our Ebay store.
Parion555
Basically because this site isn't meant to promote shopping and selling it is meant to be fun for everyone and not worry Members of any Payments.
Cloister
I know, but I myself doesn't think. Just ahh, well those are the rules. I'm out.
Brushfire
Personally I still don't get what the big problem is. Besides, I'm not removing the link from my sig until Frunk does his; hypocrisy is a no-no. So eBay isn't kid-friendly? Okay, I'm going to go tell my mother not to buy anything for my little brother off of there again. Because kids totally can't look on the site and ask their parents to buy stuff for them off there like I remember doing quite a lot as a kid. Strict rules on non-harmful external links in signatures are stupid.
Guest JoshIcy
I wouldn't add one to Ebay at all. It's a site that basically requires purchases to be a part of the community. Not exactly kid friendly is it? Profile though, I see no problem =X
Bassa
Is there any way of finding the rules on Ebay? If there are no set rules, or you can't find them, if you do get told off, all you need to say is, "I could not find the rules as this site is very hard to get around the site." Lyfe.
I'd thought that you can add any links to your sig, but I guess I was wrong :|
TrickyPooBoy
Frunk's first rules stated no providing links to eBay.
Cloister
I don't know why links to e-Bay would hurt that much. Why?
Cin
Icy rules do say no posting advertisements in your user profile. I wouldn't post it unless you want a PM from me asking you to remove it, as I've now decided to crack down on on rules 11 and 21, which both say no external links in your signature. - Other websites, forums, services, or online-shopping sites. So no.
J-Max
Fair enough. It's always better to ask though. Cheers Yin.
