All im saying is that the current deaths belongs to wrong artist i mean why just why i understand that people hate us just because they think that we are satanists and you know there wrong not all of us are like that SO ITS JUST UNFAIR that these news comes very often, then what happens next another one could HIM Or one of hammerfall or even your favorite band one menber could die next THAT MEANS SOMEONE OR SOMETHING SPIRITUALLY WANTS US DEAD so WTF is going on that pisses me of.

We metalheads are alone from society so why we pay the price ALL OF YOU KNOW very well the ones that should DIE are the gansters and criminals.

GODDAMMIT those this mean we could be facing extinction.

You beat me to the thread. I love slipknot and have for a long time and for this to happen really sucks. Metal is losing some people. Dio and now Paul. :(. Slipknot was a good band and a great metal band. if you liked slipknot or not they were a successful metal band and losing their bassist is sad for the band, their fans and really for metal. Even if my thoughts are stupid to some, death is something thats sad and when it happens to a band that you like and influences you or a genre its especially sad.

EDIT:

i think he died of a drug overdose

Just as many "regular" artists and band members die every year, if not more, then "metal artists".

Stop trying to put your moral sense of justice into something simple and factual.

No one spiritually wants them dead, Dio had cancer from smoking too many damn joints when he was younger, it's his own fault. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this guy probably did some stupid stuff as well.

If my a member in my "favorite band" died, they would seperate and do something different in honor of his memory, which I hope Slipknot will do, both because it's the "honorable" thing to do, and because I don't wanna hear any more sh1t about them (hopefully, this doesn't evolve into a "THE REEEEEV" type deal)

Yes the info is right in Dio but sorry to say i still don't understand this really its not going in to my head so well but thanks again my friend for your concern.

Metalheads have always been cursed. Our music comes from Hell (according to Tenacious D)' date=' so we have to suffer some sort of reprecussion, I guess. That said, I don't really like Slipknot at all. Dio's death affected me a lot more than this.

Thats ignorant people who think that way, im extreme but NOT satanic no funking way i shall ignore the lord even if am a metalhead.

people like that wants to destroy us and make us disappear that is happening in my hometown metal is not heard.

I hope Chester Bennington is next. xD

No offense to the Linkin Park fans out there (honestly) but I hate his voice that much.

But seriously, I liked their first album. I can't lie about that, but after they became another mediocre 'metal' band.

I agree with you there, though I enjoyed Meteora a bit, everything afterwards was pure sheet. :/

I don't like Slipknot. Don't see why everybody is so sad about his death, other than fact it's a death. It's not like he created bass. >.>

Oh sorry, I meant Slipknot's first album. I've never liked Linkin Park, cept maybe the song 'Breaking the Habit' but thats it. I just can't stand his voice.

When some obscure band's accordian player dies, I'll be sure to write a 9 paragraph, heartfelt thread speaking of his immeasurable contributions to the world of folk metal.

Also, I liked a bit of their first album, but skipping the last 15 seconds of every song isn't cool, bro.

Wait, so Slipknot are crediable and [despite mainstream] Avenged Sevenfold aren't? I don't really care if you don't like them, you can't deny that they are one of the main bands in the NWOAHM and at the very least, Jimmy was good before he died.

But Slipknot... eh, I like two of their songs lol. I was never a huge fan of their music, but their bass wasn't half bad. Why couldn't Clown have died instead? He sucked.

RIP Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan

RIP Peter Steele

RIP Ronnie James Dio

RIP Paul Gray

This thread annoys me.

3 people from Metal bands died so far. A lot of other people die. And a lot from other genres of music.

There is no curse on metal, death is a natural effect of having life. Also because of the lifestyle, there's a lot more drug consumption involved, that may be a factor.

So yeah, it's terrible that he died, as well as other great musicians, but that doesn't mean there is a 'curse' or link between the deaths and some godly potent force.

In the past, people would conjure up spirits or demons and send them to do harm to their enemies or people that they despise. Whether or not they worked is unsure.

Just putting that out there.

But I hated Slipknot. Never liked their music.

So, I only will give the fact that his death was possible from drugs or something relevant, and I respect him, not for that reason.

But still.

I was rather upset when No.2 died

I was upset when dio died

I was upset when the rev died.

but people die everyday...the only difference is how many people know about the death and when a celebrity dies, people panic.

Paul will be missed, but more than likely the band and the world will continue.
