Turn 10 still exists?

 

It peeks it's head up everyone once and a while.

 

OT: Aurkus isn't bad at all' date=' it's just not mained in very many builds since it stops Lumina from working since it [i']targets[/i] the LS in the grave and Aurkus stops that. Very good card, just needs to be played around a tiny bit. Aurkus stops any and all LS from being targeted regardless of where they are. Hand, field, grave, deck and RFP are all protected by Aurkus.

Aurkus stops you Honesting. That is why people generally don't run it.

 

Aurkus doesn't stop Honesting why would it stop Honesting?And on Topic Aurkus is not Half Bad he offers you Protection you only need to know how to play him.

Aurkus isnt the best LS, but he certainly is useful.

 

He stops Smashings/Fissures/Bottomless/D-Prisons/Celestia/Icarus and a whole plethora of other target cards.

only reason he isnt run anymore, is he can be easily removed. if you hook up a decent enough defense, and dont play stupidly, he'll stay long enough so you can win.

Then of course alot of people main mass destruction and not many people main starlight at more than 1.

Sorry to say but you missed a couple of things that make him bad.I don't know where you read but Smashing and Fissure does not Target.That is why he is an easy Target for Destruction.

Yeah but they should run him more because seeing how the only reason they didn't run him at more copies is because of Lumina and how her effect is completely negated but now that Lumina is at 1 Aurkus should be at 2 or 3 copies.

 

Aurkus was good because of Lumina.

 

Lumina + Aurkus was the best opening in the LS deck.

I personally don't think it is worth running in LS since most cards these days don't target and it ruins Lumina's ability. It does however help in a few places so it could probably be teched at 1 or possibly 2 since Charge of the Light Brigade and Lumina are both Limited and Gold Sarcophagus is the only other way to search stuff and you don't get the card you search for 2 turns.

Why do people say that Arkus sucks?

Here is why:

1.-It ONLY protects your "Lightsworn" monsters

2.-You need to send 2 cards to the graveyard at the end of your each End Phase

3.He has low ATK ad DEF so your opponent can easily destroy him

Well his protecting effect is good but it isn't worth of that sacrifice...

However if you have trash on top of your deck you can freely use him to protect your "Lightsworn" monsters in that round' date=' but when you don't need him anymore just find a way to destroy it.So I think he isn't total trash.

Yes but Lumina targets so it Aurkus doesn't let it Special Summon.

 

The idea was to go Lumina -> Aurkus on your first turn and don't use Lumina after that. Of course, you also needed some battle protection like Necro Gardna and/or Honest. After that, you will have a hard to destroy set-up that fuels your grave and stops your opponent from using Lumina for their own set-up.

Manjoume, I didn't say that Aurkus is trash.I wanted to say why some yugioh beginners and amateurs think that Aurkus is trash (and say it) because they rate card only by its ATK, DEF and level.

Okay i have played LS i know the combo i have used it and it is good because it sends 5 cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard which means a 20 % Chance of you milling a Wulf, Necro or Plaguespreader Zombie which really puts the hurt on an opponent.It even increases your chances of Summoning Judgment Dragon.
