I'm most likely getting the game tomorrow' date=' so can someone explain via spoiler what a "Perfect Run" is?

[/quote']

The Perfect Run is the very last mission in the game and it's kicking my ass.

No, I meant, what do you have to do? Beat the final level without taking damage and in the fastest time possible? Or is it just a new world altogether?

You have to go through the final level with one life, no checkpoints, and the enemies for some rooms have been changed to make it more annoying.

It was so hard that I had to retry the whole stage over around 20 times. D:

So, I got the game today. And in about 90 minutes of playing, I got 10 stars. :/

I finished all of World 1 except the secret star for Upside-Down Galaxy. I think that is good progress for an hour and a half of playing. D:

1 more to go. The Perfect Run is hard' date=' but if you take your time it isn't THAT bad. Once you learn what to do. After 17 tries (the bulk of which ended on the first part) I made it to the last part.

Having a second person would make it so much easier.

Yeah, a second person doesn't make it too terribly bad, but it's still a bit rediculous.

Total of 241 or 242? But damn, you finished that game fast.

But I finished Mario 64 fast so it's all good. <3

Why? Mainly because the second person can stun/kill enemies with Star Bits, right? And while swimming they can do stuff with bubbles... and stuff. :D

A bit off-topic, but I liked SM64DS better than SM64. I don't really know why. :/

242.

120 normal.

120 green.

2 from the final level.

I got it on the 13 so it took about 17 days however I stopped playing for a while so it really took less. When I do get that last star I''ll post my total play time.

Which is the last Level? Can you enter it on the World Map? Or is it like a super-special map?

The last level is in World S and you can only get to it by getting every other star. For the comet you need 9999 star bits in the bank.

21 Stars' date=' lol.

I'm trying to finish worlds before I advance, but some Stars are just annoying. D':

What do Comet Coins do? Because I missed Comet Coins from a lot of galaxies.

Make Prankster Comets appear.

Does that mean there are 120 Comet Coins?

Fuuuuuuu-

I only have seven. <__________<

There's a total of 49' date=' but you can only get 48 before the Green Stars appear.

The 49th one is in Grandmaster.

[/quote']

Does that mean there are only 49 galaxies in total, since each has one Comet Coin?

Meaning there are seven worlds @ seven galaxies each?!

I'm over-thinking this, aren't I?

Well... pretty much. Every galaxy has a comet medal.

And there are seven worlds... with seven galaxies in each.

Damn, you've pretty much hit the nail.

I'm only at the end of World 2, but every galaxy so far has had a Comet Coin. I was just too lazy to effing get them all.

And Worlds 1 and 2 have seven galaxies, so ASSUMPTION FTW.

Does that mean the Grandmaster Galaxy is the seventh galaxy in World 7? Meaning the sixth galaxy is the final Bowser battle? or sumthin'

World 6 has the last Bowser fight, and World 7 (which is really called World S) has six galaxies until you find all the green stars, then GM galaxy will appear.
