Dark
I died at least twice on the Cloud part, whereas I never died on the tiles part. You need to have some judgement on when to make a Cloud, lest Mario hits an electric wire and loses his Cloud powers (or dies, in The Perfect Run). I would use a second player, but it won't help all too much. Parts one through three are useless for a second player. Part four, okay, they can stop the green tiles from going away, but not much use, really. Part five is useless. The only thing a second player is useful for is in part six, to ward off the Hammer Bros. by using Star Bits. But even then, you only get one Star Bit per attempt (at the beginning), so it's stupid. :/

The first 3 parts it isn't helpful, but part 4 is where you would want it. From what I saw it can stop the lasers guys.
Dark
Wait, fr srs? Damn, the laser part of Part 4 is probably the only reason it's so damn tough. That is just broken, man. D: And there are some green platforms where you are safe from lasers, so I guess that is another use of P2.

They got it on their VERY last life) they had a second player doing that. And, yea thats why I would want one.
Dark
I refused to watch any Galaxy 2 that TSG did, because I'd spoil myself. (Spoil, not soil. <_<) There is a really cool "glitch" in Part 5. Basically, if you are at a Pull Star, you can shake to get yourself out of it, fall down, hit the Pull Star (but don't get stuck there), and you'll fly upward from the velocity. From there, you'll be above all the obstacles and can advance without worry. But Part 5 is easy enough; you don't need to break it.
Astro Dude
I got the game but didn't play it right away since I forgot to pack the Nunchuk. But now I have 118/120 stars. And Throwback Galaxy was a real nostalgia trip. *cough* Super Mario 64, Whomp's Fortress. *cough*. The Music was great, but couldn't they remix the battle music when Mario battle Whomp in Whomp's Fortress for the King Whomp stage. It was a real nostalgia trip to battle Dino Piranah, King Kaliente, General Burrows, Bouldergeist and Fiery Dino Piranah in the same level. Βyakuya
I has got the game. I made it to the Special World, where I beat Bowser which was quite easy. As with Bowser Jr. The mechas like Mechahammer and Boom Bunker were quite hard, but I beat them both on my first try  , and yet Gobblegut was very hard. THe problem is with the time trials. The Chompworks one was impossible. Other than that, other levels like Whomp's Fortress and others were quite easy, but the Square Mario Galaxy was impossible, but I beat it anyways. Astro Dude
Time Trials? I'm working on getting the Green Stars. I got all the Green Stars in the Special World first to get them out of the way, They seem hard to get. You mean Boss Blitz where you had to face almost every boss from the original Super Mario Galaxy? And why didn't they have Kamella Koopa?
Βyakuya
Green stars? The bosses are quite easy, whether hard or not, but its hard to destroy them, but I can still survive. But Prankster Comets like in the Chompworks and Supermassive Galaxy are very hard.
Dark
I found the speedruns (Prankster Comet speedruns) fairly easy, except for Boss Blitz. I've been trying for awhile to do a 110 Purple Coin run of the Prankster Comet for the Rainbow Road level. It doesn't seem too hard, but I always miss one or two, or run out of time just before I'm able to get the last couple. :/
Βyakuya
since I made it to the Special World, I saw the Perfect Run on the Grandmaster galaxy. Looks like I'm going to have a hard time.
Dark
I won't say I gave up on it, but even when I had time to play Galaxy 2, I dicked around and never did it. It was fun seeing myself die for the first sixty or so deaths, but then it just gets annoying. Also, I've only gotten past part four (the laser + spin-platforms part) once, so I obviously suck at that level. And surprisingly, I'm amazing at platformers in general. I've 100%d Super Mario 64, SM64DS, played through almost all of Galaxy 1 at a friend's sleepover, got 241 Stars in Galaxy 2, did Luigi's Purple Coins and got all 150 (though admittedly it took me at least eight or nine tries to get a path, and then three or four tries afterwards to execute it), et cetera. I feel that part four is REALLY luck-based on whether the lasers actually go through or not. Part six doesn't seem too hard because you have the ducking trick for the Boomerang Bros. But yeah, maybe one day I'll get around to doing The Perfect Run. Maybe not.
-Griffin
Just got this.I'm on World 5, and have all medals from Worlds 1-4, have completed all stars in 1-3 and most of the stars in World 4, just waiting for comets or something to show up to clean up the last of that :3 The hardest part for me so far was probably the purple coins on the galaxy that flips when you use your spin. Must have killed me at least eight times >_<
Βyakuya
I finally completed the Chompworks Prankster Comet challenge! I'm going to the stone Cyclone thing. It looks a lot hard since there are very fast moving objects. But as for the rest, I can't find other Comet medals around.
-Griffin
Chompworks was actually one of my favourite levels. Sure, it took three or so lives to do the prankster comet, but I like messing with the little machine-like thing in that challenge xP I also quite liked the Beep Box Galaxy. I just completed the prankster from that one, which was fun, since I like the way you learn patterns of when it's safe to jump.
Βyakuya
The Supermassive Galaxy Prankster Comet Run was hard for me. For some reason, I can't long jump over gaps. XP. I kept dying, wasting like 15 of my lives. XP. I then finally beat after mastering long jumps and the spin. I recently did the Roller coaster Galaxy as well. Ah the rainbow Road... -Griffin
I refuse to acknowledge that there is a hidden star in that gravity-changing Galaxy in World 5. I am not going to do another darn timed fire-box thing 8D Other than that, game's still feeling too easy. The Megahammer Daredevil felt like a disappointment after winning it in 1 try. Hopefully the later worlds are more tricky ^_^

Dark
No, some of the Green Stars are trippy as hell. You can see them, but you are all o_O when you try to get them. It was one of the Green Stars in the first Dash Pepper Galaxy (Hightail Falls?). That was like... woah. How the hell do I get that? I had to YouTube that one. No, not the IFG, just a series of backflips and spinning. Got it after ten minutes.
Dark
I'm not very good at the IFG, honestly. My max is like eight or nine combos, but I always mess up randomly by doing a dismount off of Yoshi. It's not something I really need to practice, but it's good utility for some Stars. -Griffin
Is the IFG needed for any stars? I was hoping I didn't have to use it
Dark
Not required, but it makes some a lot easier if you are lazy or refuse to start a level over and over again. Since it is a GLITCH, it's not really required for anything. You can easily beat the game without it, but speedrunning it will require the IFG, and some Stars become so much easier. -Griffin
Ah, fine by me then. So far the two things I've missed to go back to later are the fire-flower-crate thing in the Upside-Dizzy(I think) galaxy and the Comet Medal in the second Fluzzard one - I'm currently going through W6. Βyakuya
I am currently gathering Comet Medals I missed. I got through Bugaboom, and he was quite easy, even though he was a little hard to kill him. Sorbetti was also difficult, that you had to hit his nose while he was spinning while you had to be careful, and I died once. :( But Prince Pikante was still easy, but he kept moving and wasn't shooting what I wanted at times.
