Seriously. I was playing my Crystal ROM & I came to the part where you fight Red Gyarados at the lake to the Red Scale item or whatever, then I remembered I could never capture it. I now refuse to go any farther until I capture Red Gyarados, so I keep making myself run or lose.

 

Discuss the bane of my existence, Red Gyarados. Or discuss Crystal, Silver, and Gold.

He's really not that hard if your Pokemon are Lv25+ and you paralyze him. :/

The game seems to want to super effect or critical hit Gyarados whenever I use a weak move or try and paralyze him.

Thrash isn't that strong a move. It would maybe 3/4 hit kill my Eevee at the time I had it. Even at level 20-25 I still didn't have an Umbreon -__-

It's not Outrage you have to worry about as much as Rest. Rayquaza abuses it so much with Outrage.
