Marvel/DC - The Return of Magneto [PG13][Started][Accepting]

Logan was walking through the school, pacing and thinking about what will be coming ahead. Logan had talked to the professor quite alot about this whole situation with Magneto. He couldn't believe that he had almost a whole army of people at his command. Logan knew there was atleast 20 people who had escaped from Arkham, so he would start there. If there was any place that Logan could get awnsers about Magneto, it would be there. So Logan went to the Professor one last time before leaving.

 

"Hello Logan."

 

"Professor...are you sure you know what Magneto is up to? I think there might be something more to this Joker guy than we think." Logan had this feeling deep down that the Joker would be a major threat.

 

"Logan, I honestly can't tell you what Logan is gonna do, he could result to anything. Just be careful."

 

Logan turned and walked out of his office and headed for the main corridor of the school. He was gonna go and try to find some anwsers.

When Thomas was near the Professor's office, he saw Logan leave. "Hm, I wonder what Logan wanted to say to the Professor." he asked himself. He then walked up to the door and stopped. The headache came back, but it was twice as bad. Then after a minute it stopped. What? he thought. Thomas took a deep breath and knocked on the door. 'Till death do me part. That's for me having this suit. He then waited for a response from the Professor.

Jade stared at the boy in front of her in question. His mouth was moving but no sound was coming out. "Oh.." She muttered and took out her head phones, and asked him to repeat what he said. She smiled and put her hand in his. "Don't worry, none taken. I'm Jade by the way." She faltered in her sentence as she felt a surge of energy run through her. What was that? She thought perplexed as she let Luka's hand go. It must've been Luka...He has lightening powers...At least I think.

 

"You seem to know my abilities, and if you don't mind me asking what's yours. I just want to see if my assumption is correct, and I hope you're alright from last night."

[Quiksilver]

Luka repeated what he said, and then smiled when he saw Jade get confused when the energy flowed through her. "Well, I'm both a performance enhancer and a energy converter." He said. "It's kinda complicated, but basically I increase your powers, and you increase mine. Since my powers are hard to control, I use this watch here," -He gestured at the watch- "to convert it into different forms of energy, like electrical energy. So, what do think of what happened last night? Weird, wasn't it?" Luka was still thinking of his failed capture, and abruptly his face darkened.

[Daxter]

While Logan was walking through the school, he noticed that Luka was talking to Jade. He stopped in the hallway to talk to them, this might be the last time he sees them for a while. "Hey there kid." Logan said to Jade. "How'd ya sleep?" Logan glanced over at Luka, he was still kinda mad at him, but he figured there was no harm done. He pulled out one of his cigars and lit it up in the hall. He wanted to stick around a little while longer to make sure nobody else attacked this place, but he knew going out on this misson could give some awnsers about what Magneto is up to, and maybe even something about his past.

[Quiksilver]

"I'm good, if its me you're wondering about." Luka said this, a slight smile on his face. Despite what had happened last night, or maybe because of it, Luka still thought of Logan as one of the toughest guys out there, and seemed to remind Luka of himself, give or take some years. "Are we going to go after Magneto anytime soon?" He asked Wolverine. "'Cause I know Gambit or whatever his name is will be there, and I got issues with him." Luka cracked his knuckles grimly.

Gambit watched Joker prance around laughing like a maniac. "What's so friggen funny?" He asked extremely annoyed.

Joker stopped laughing enough to answer Gambit. "Oh nothing, but its just that I know what Magneto's gonna do next." He broke into his high pitched laughter again.

"And what is Magneto planning?" Gambit asked curiously.

Joker wagged his finger at Gambit. "Uh, uh, uhh. Magneto said no telling."

[Daxter]

Logan took a big drag of off his cigar. He blew the smoke out of his mouth and took a sigh. "Well I'm going out after Magneto." Logan knew he couldn't go alone, but felt he had to. "I think your powers might be a little to unstable to go out with me kid. I mean, last night you put me closer to death than I ever have been, we can't risk that during a mission. Not when so much is on the line kid." Lgan looked around while continuing to smoke, he didn't know what to do. All he knew was he should follow his instincts, whatever they were telling him to do.

[Quiksilver]

"Yeah, I know." Luka looked crestfallen. "Professor said the same thing. He says I need to take lessons with some dude named Green Lantern now. The first lesson is in..." Luka looked down at the piece of paper and looked up, alarmed. "Uh-oh. Its in five minutes! I gotta go! See ya, Logan! See ya, Jade!!!" Luka, leaving the two behind, raced down the hallway, heading for the backyard where this Green Lantern would be waiting.

"Oh, I see...Well, that wasn't what I was thinking of, but it's pretty cool none the less." Jade smiled eyeing his watch with intrest. She wonderedhow it worked and was itching to take it apart and find out. However, if it monitered his powers then that would be a very bad and stupid idea. He then asked about last night and a dark look found his face. "That was pretty weird. I couldn't tell who he was though, he didn't look familia, but from how Logan acted it was apparent that they knew each other."

Logan watched as Luka ran down the hall. His put his cigar out and threw it in a nearby trash bin. He looked back at Jade. "Well kid, I guess I'm gonna get going now.." Logan gave Jade a hug and then started walking towards the front door. "Take care kid..." Logan said as he left threw the door, and left the school. He went a jumped on the motorcycle of Cyclops, he used this bike more than Cyclops did sometimes. The thought of going this venture alone was one that didn't quite sit well with Logan. But he knew he had to. So he started off driving towards the city, soon gonna head to Arkham Island, to find some awnsers.

((Posting as Anarchist))

 

"Master..." A cold voice spoke behind Gambit and Joker. A tall, pale man in a gray hoodie walked up behind them. He looked a lot like Luka Hendrick Dare. He was known as Anarchist.

 

The Joker's right-hand man.

 

"Master," He said again. "Is the rest of the patrol ready? Magneto said that if the patrol does not start soon, he will have to take matters into his own hands." There was no emotion in Anarchist's voice, except when he spoke Magneto's name. He did not completely trust the man. "We have to start the patrol." Anarchist added, looking between the Joker and Gambit. "Preferably sooner that later."

[Daxter]

((As Joker))

 

"Haha all in good time boy." The Joker chuckled as he did a little dance. "Now listen, I have many tricks up my sleeve for these so called "Heros", many many tricks. I could do a little song for them hmmmm, possibly set some tnt to blow them all up" The Joker laughed until he almost fell over. "Now listen here boy, I have something for you to do that is more important than anything Magneto could tell you to do. I need you to come with me, we have a special friend we need to find. I'm sure he will be around destroying something, haha Bane old boy, here we come." The Joker started walking towards the city, he kknew where Bane would be hiding out.

[Quiksilver]

"Yes, Master." Anarchist silently trailed behind the Joker, doing his best to keep no expression on his face. However, his fists betrayed his excitement. The bones had silently grown over them, creating a nearly indestructible cover.

"Now then," boomed Kyle Rayner, the current Green Lantern. "Lets start with a simple energy conversion. Set this here block of wood on fire." The Green Lantern was almost blinding in the midmorning sun, his green and black suit glistening and his large ring glowing bright green, casting a glow over the well-trimmed school yards.

 

"Alright, then." Luka replied, and concentrated hard. The energy absorbed from Green Lantern was more than enough to provide for the fire that shot out of her hand, engulfing the wood block in flames.

 

Green Lantern nodded his approval. "Very good. That was a good one, but I can sense you have trouble with..." Suddenly, his ring pulsated and Kyle cringed.

 

"What is it?" Luka asked.

 

"A recent addition to my energy ring." Green Lantern replied. "It allows me to sense when danger approaches. It seems like..." Kyle closed his eyes and thought for a second, then continued, "It looks like two or more villain are approaching the city nearby." Green Lantern eyes flew open. "I have to stop them." He whispered. "They're going after Bane! Luka! Go and tell-"

 

"I don't think so." Luka said defiantly. "I'm not going anywhere. Take me with you." When Kyle looked hesitant, he starting pleading, "Please! I need to redeem myself."

 

"Fine." Green Lantern finally replied. "Stand still." Luka watched in fascination as Green Lantern's ring wove a orb of green light around him, and the fascination just increased when Green Lantern jumped and started to fly through the air, dragging the orb, and Luka, behind him.

((Logan))

Logan drove his bike into the nearby city. He parked it at a nearby bar, he figured he would come back there sometime in the day for a drink. He started walking down the street, looking for anything, that might help him. He didn't want to go to Arkham till later that night.

Once in the town, the Joker was walking through mostly ally ways, he knew most of the cops in the city would be after him. He looked out the one ally and saw Logan or the Wolverine walking. "Hehe, oh what a perfect chance." The Joker walked out just a little bit and made a face at Logan. He giggled. "Oh I wish he would see me right now, but that would ruin the fun I have planned huh?" The Joker walked out of the ally and went the opposite direction of Logan, he knew he was close to Bane. But to get to Bane, Joker would have to return to a place he spent much of his time. A certain asylum, Arkham. Bane was the only one who didnt get out during Magento's break in. Bane and the Killer Croc that it.

Jade waved at Luka as he left, and returned Logan's hug although it was a bit awkward on Jade's end since she hasn't ever been the hugging type. "It's probably because I don't get them often." She said about to put her head phones in but stopped half way there at the sound of someone calling her name. When she turned she saw her mentor Ororo Monroe, or better known as Storm.

 

Jade smiled, "Morning, Ms. Monroe."

 

Storm smiled, "Is that how you greet your old Mentor?" Jade laughed and offered up another awkward hug.

 

"How have you been?" Storm asked now walking with Jade.

 

"Oh, I've been fine. Just a bit bored, but last was pretty interesting." Storm nodded a frown on her face. "Yes, I've heard about last night. I was actually looking for Logan. I wanted to speak to him."

 

"Well you just misse him. He went that way." Storm smiled, "Thanks, I'll see you later Jade." She nodded and waved to the leaving Storm. "Well...That was unexpected." Jade muttered putting her head phones back in thinking about this Gambit person.

[Quiksilver]

"Let me take him, Master." Anarchist hissed when he saw Wolverine in the road. There was a cracking noise, and suddenly a mask of bone slid over his face. "I can take him." He said, his voice muffled by the mask.

 

"Not if I do something about it!" A voice shouted out. Anarchist acted instinctively, a long thin arm bone spurting out of his elbow and hitting Joker in the stomach, knocking him out of the energy blast that engulfed Anarchist a second later. Anarchist felt to the floor, temporarily stunned by the Green Lantern's attack.

 

"So what have you been up too, Joker?" Luka asked when he and Green Lantern settled in the alleyway, a few feet away from the Clown Prince.

[Daxter]

The Joker began to laugh. "Well well well. This is quite interesting isn't it? You have absolutly no clue what your in for." The Joker put his hand out in front of him and lifted his sleeve. A machine shot a card into his hand. "You see gents, this is how it is." The Joker begins doing weird hand motions with the card. "Now, you think I'm here doing one thing, but in the end, you'll find I'm somewhere else." The Joker laughed yet again. He ripped the card into 2 pieces and threw them on the ground. He pointed his fingers at the Green Lanter as is it was a gun, he said "boom" and acted as if he was firing a gun at them. "Well I would love to stay and chat with you boys, but I have to go gather some friends of mine for the festivties myself and Magneto are planning." The Joker pulled a small ball out of his jacket and threw it at the feet of the Green Lanter and Luka. A smoke shot out really fast and the Joker took this chance to run out of thier site while laughing. The final thing he said before escaping was; "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on you haha, Bane-ie boy is mine now."

Gambit watched Joker closely. "Why did Magneto ut me with this guy?" He asked himself. Joker's "right-hand man" was obviously gone with the Green Latern now. Gambit ran after Joker. "Atleast I can get back at Logan." He said to himself, laughing on the inside about the coincidence of Wolverine going to the same place as them. "Well Joker, what do you know exactly about this "Bane" character?" Gambit asked following behind Joker.

[Daxter]

((As Joker))

"Well Gambit my boy, I know everything there is to know about Bane. If I'm gonna put my entire plan on the line for someone, I'm gonna know them haha." Bane-ie boy is a brute, intoxicated with a venom compound, he will prove to be very useful. He could give me an extra trick or 2 that I can throw at the so called "Heros"." The Joker chuclked. "Oh they have no clue what I have in store for them, but first lets go get our dead friend from the Asylum, he won't be to happy to see me again" The Joker once again laughed. He laughed at many of his stupid remarks that nobody else found funny.

Ooc: I'm sooo sry! I was doing all of my other post I forgot about this one!

 

Jade, after her brief meeting with Storm, had started on her way to the infermary to see how Thomas was doing, only to remember Logan saying he was doing just fine. He probably wouldn't be in the room anymore, so Jade did a 180 and started walking outside to sit under a tree. Funny enough it was the same tree that the fight took place at last night. "I'll just sit out here for a while, then I'll go look for Thomas. I'm still curious as to why he was so sick." She sighed and closed her eyes. She wasn't asleep but she sometimes fake it so no one would bother her.

[Daxter]

((Professor))

Professor was sitting by his window, just staring, and thinking. He thought alot about his old friend Eric. What had he become. What was he going to do. Well the Professor couldn't read his thoughts cause of his helmet...and reading the Jokers mind was out of the questions because he didn't really have a sane mind. Professor heard a knock at his office door. He wheeled over and opened to find Thomas standing there. "Well hello Thomas, come on in please." The Professor closed the door and wheeled to his desk. "So, how can I help you?" The Professor asked, even though he could already tell because he could read minds.

Gambit followed after Joker towards where Bane was. He didn't like how he said Bane wouldn't be happy to see him. He withdrew his deck of card. A new deck in fact, but it was stolen. On the top of the deck was the four aces. His absolute favorite card of all, was the aces of hearts. Why? He doesn't really know but that one card never let him down. Just one card in his hands is deadly weapon.

OoC: Who's Bane again?

 

Due to what my dream was, I'm not sure I can explain this to the Professor. Let's just hope that as I speak, I also mention a few extra things that might involve Iron Man.

 

Thomas sighed. "Professor..." he began. "While I was unconscious, I was having a dream of sorts. It was a 'simulation' of my arteries and veins, passing through months per second. As I looked very carefully, I began to see black residue building up in the tubes. From what it seemed to be ink, it was actually powdered lead injected in through my skin into my bloodstream that would spread much slower than an average vaccination that would take a day or two." Thomas sighed again. "I think my suit is slowly poisoning me. I don't know what to do. This suit is a part of my skin now. This reminds me of Iron Man, when his Arc Reactor was killing him."

 

Thomas cleared his throat. "I need a Blood Toxicity Scanner to keep me on track of how much of lead enters my bloodstream daily, along with weekly injections to remove some of the lead already in my body." Thomas explained. "Do you think someone can handle doing all of this to make sure I stay perfect?" Why do I bother? he thought. I know the Professor will say no.

[Quiksilver]

((He's a DC villain who nearly killed the Batman with his great strength.))

 

"He's not getting away that easily!" Green Lantern said as he emerged from the black smoke seconds after the Joker and Gambit. His ring flashed with green light, and with that light he could see a flash of cloth down one of the streets. Aha. That's were they were. "Come on, Luka!" He shouted, his ring already starting to reform the green box. "I saw them go this wa-"

 

Sh-rick!

 

Green Lantern fell back as a bone-y claw suddenly sliced his shirt, inches away from his skin. The half-completed box disappeared instantly.

 

Luka groaned as Anarchist appeared out of the smoke, his finger bones breaking out the skin of his fingertips, forming the long bone claws that had slashed Kyle a second ago. Looks like he hadn't been knocked out like he thought.

 

"And you're not getting away that easily, either!" Anarchist snarled, jumping towards the two. He was blasted back a second later by a blast of green light.

 

"Go on and follow the Joker." Green Lantern said, looking at Luka. "I'll hold off this bone-obsessed freak." He slashed at Anarchist with a green blade, who responded with a rain of bone darts from his chest. "Go on!" He snarled at Luka. He hesitated, then turned his back on the bones and green light, and ran after the Joker and Gambit.
