Science is cool because they made the heliocentric theory and evolution, but some religions don't like that stuff.

 

Magic is cool because it could potentially involve demonic summoning and casting spells, but some religions don't like that stuff.

 

So in an attempt to quell the anger of some religions, I will choose neither.

 

Replace "some religions" with Christianity or (extremist) Christians, whichever is more suitable in that instance.

Well I do not practice magic myself so it doesn't have a meaning like spells and stuff to me (something I associate with religions).

 

But I believe that science can answer many issues, not all of them of course, and still try to keep a meta part on it. Kinda agree that science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind...

 

So science but with a twist.=D

Define extremist.

 

OT: Magic and Science are both illusions, like free will, gravity, North Dakota and Ghosts.

 

North Dakota... *shudders* If that place existed, I'd kill myself.

 

No clear-cut definition for "extremist", as the way I see it, it's pretty subjective. Anyone who "overly" promotes their religion? Now ask me to define "overly". It's based on one's perception of what is going too far in terms of religion, which varies from person to person. Some people think bombing a building is just barely going too far. Some people think forcing your religion unto others is going too far. Et cetera, et cetera.

 

But you know what is too far? Putting "In God We Trust" on our coins and "One nation under God" in our anthem, because those originally weren't there, and were put their due to angry Christian people claiming this nation was founded as Christian or some bullshit. For me, that is going too far, a second time too far, and about two-thirds of the way to a third time going too far. <_<

You can't really be angry, most of America is Christians. We evan have the Ten Commandments on... some monument, I forget. But they're there.

Okay, not our anthem. Brain slip, our pledge to the flag thing. Damn, I can't believe I forgot what it was called. Whatever, you understand what I mean.

 

Yes, but our country does not have an official religion despite our country being a majority of Christians. And the original Constitution (or some other document) says that (for one) the Church and the State will be seperate and (two) that the US was not founded of Christain origin. So that doesn't really give Christians a reason to assume this country is "theirs", nor should the government have changed the pledge or coins for them.

Does it really annoy you that much? It's just money. Not to be mean, but just stop being a baby. It's MONEY!

 

And the Pledge of Alliegence (payback XD), you can't reallly change that. They're not gonna change it over a couple of mad Aitheists. (I still can't spell it XD)
