The manga's called Rave, the anime is called Groove Adventure Rave, and the English version for both is called Rave Master. The manga is miles better though. The only problem was that the English dudes suddenly stopped, TWO OR SO BOOKS FROM THE CLIMAX, and I had to read an idiot's translation... no offense, Mr. Idiot... AND HE KILLED ALL THE OMAKES... but yeah, it's AWESOME, and it's also a PERFECT example of a story where if you can't write it well, it can still be badass. Yeah, at some points, I felt that the story grew a bit odd, and it's uncomfortable to look back at Ruby the penguin and now look at him in all his naked glory, but it's still a great story overall and shall forever be a part of me...
