you might say you dont want to play a themed deck.

but when it comes down to it, a deck that has any sort of theme to begin with walk all over you far too easily.

 

Not to mention, this being traditional format, you should run Banned cards.

Considering this is Traditional, you should. In fact, you should run as many banned cards in here as possible since you may as well take advantage of the fact that Forbidden cards in the Advanced format are Limited in Traditional format. Stuff like Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, Raigeki, Harpie's Feather Duster, Monster Reborn, Change of Heart, Premature Burial, the list goes on.

Fix'd. There's no minimum when it comes to banned cards.

All of them are simply too good.

well i've been experimenting with and Ancient Gear deck but I seem to focus on warriors, machines, and spellcasters. I've been thinking about making a Fortune Lady deck if I get more Fortune Ladies.

Fortune Ladies are a theme.

 

Warriors, Machines, Spellcasters are NOT themes.

 

Specific decks that focus on a type of Machine, i.e. Ancient Gears, Cyber Dragon etc... they are themes.

pick your favourite one and run that. i can help you with a decklist if you like.

I have been using an Ancient Gear deck for the past two days, when I can i'll post this deck as soon as possible.
