Shuuhei looked rather shocked. The look on his face signified something big was amiss. It seems that the Hungry Ghost Path was the key to shutting down Beast Path, and maybe the other paths as well. He slumped down to the floor, looking rather worried. At their state right now, if the other members of the Council finds them, they'll surely be killed. All of them.

 

"Hey Shuuhei."

 

Shuuhei turned around and saw a rather battered Byakko. For someone who was fighting non-stop, Byakko didn't looked too worn out, but his clothing was indeed battered that they were already in tatters. He smoked from his pipe once again, taking a seat opposite Shuuhei and Shado. He gave the two a rather curious look.

 

"You two looked like you went to hell," Byakko rounded back towards Sen, "You too, kid. Young ones nowadays don't know how to live carefully."

 

He gave another puff to his pipe, then taking out what looked like a healing balm container. However, when he turned back, Shado was nowhere to be seen. He shook his head, muttering about Akatsuki members being extremely reckless and impulsive. He passed the balm towards the two members left in the cave.

 

"There. Use them on yourselves. I doubt you don't know how to use those, eh?" Byakko said in a gruffy voice, smoking from his pipe.

 

"Thanks, Byakko. Why don't you go back to the northern mountains now?" Shuuhei inquired, spreading some of the balm around his ribs and midsection.

 

"Meh. The old geezer isn't there. He said he was accompanying someone. Probably the Kage Summit happening a few hours later. So I can be here for as long as I like." Byakko replied casually.

 

"Wait, the Kages are going to have a summit? And what happened to Seiryu?" Shuuhei asked, looking more bewildered.

 

"Seiryu's strength was spent. When Beast Path was visited by Expiration, the old geezer of his clan probably reversed summoned him. Guardians cannot exist outside of our places without a strong connection, either by chakra or by emotions, to the person who summons us away from the mountains. In Seiryu's case, Beast Path's connection with him was made by chakra, which was severed when Beast Path's functions stopped."

 

Byakko smoked a few times before continuing his answers.

 

"As for the summit. I distinctly remembered the old geezer mentioning something about accompanying someone to the Land of Iron for the Kage Summit." Byakko said, ending his reply with a short growl, then he rounded towards Sen, "You're looking more lively than the last time I saw you. Are you still being reckless? Your kekkei genkai is extremely volatile. I suggest you take into consideration the times you use it at full strength. You might kill yourself the next time."

Sen took the balm, smiling gratefully at Byakko before administering it on herself. She started at her legs and worked her way up to her chest and arms. Although, it took her a while because now she didn't have anything else to worry about she was more focused on the pain, and discomfort.

 

"I know Byakko-san, but without my Kekkei Genkai then I wouldn't have been able to hold Beast Path off as long as I did. All of my jutsu's are with lightening, and I only have that if I absorb someone elses, or activate my own.......And I'm not that reckless..." She mumbled casting a weird look at Shuuhei's sword, before laying down on the small bed. "So, uh, what's this Kage summit you two were talking about?

"Yeah, I somewhat know that. Still, try not to kill yourself anytime soon. You're just like Shuuhei when he was still your age. Reminds me of the good ol' days, eh Shuuhei?" Byakko mused, much to Shuuhei's annoyance.

 

"Let's not talk about that, Byakko. However, what we should talk about is the Kage Summit. What about it?" Shuuhei inquired.

 

Byakko gave a few puffs of smoke from his pipe before rounding back towards the two, looking more serious. There was a hint of uncertainty present across his face.

 

"I've little knowledge regarding the summit itself. Apparently, Yomi Rikudo, the Land of Iron magistrate, has called upon the Kage Summit to discuss the matter of peace among the nations. It was sudden, by the looks of it, as the old geezer was hurrying. In any case, that's all I can tell you. To be honest, that Yomi Rikudo doesn't bode well with me. Something about him seems off, like he's not who he says he is." Byakko explained, puffing more smoke from his pipe.

 

Shuuhei didn't looked to surprised. The Land of Iron magistrate has never been a friend to the Akatsuki, especially since they're outlaws. Kage summit or not, they don't care about it. It was just another meeting for peace.

 

Meanwhile, over at Konohagakure, the sun was already rising. The day of the Kage Summit has arrived, and with it was a loud knocking on the door to Reinako's room. The knock was getting stronger and stronger, until it was practically banging. Suddenly, the door burst open and four ninjas were standing on the doorway. All of them were wearing weird ANBU masks, and Kusabe was standing in the middle of them.

 

"Where is she? Hokage-sama is waiting. I want her in front of me, right now." Kusabe ordered sternly.

 

Immediately the four ninjas started to bang on the bedroom door of Reinako. Uchiha Shuuto expressly ordered not to destroy the bedroom door. And so the ninjas were banging on it as strong as they can without destroying the door. Kusabe became impatient after the first few minutes, proceeding towards the front of the door himself, and cupping his mouth with both hands.

 

"WAKE UP! GET YOUR BEHINDS OUT OF YOUR BEDS IMMEDIATELY!" Kusabe shouted loudly.

After listening to Byakko Sen asked, "So the Kage Summit is happening soon?" After some time she sighed, "Shuuhei-senpai, you don't think Zenousuke-sama was beaten do you? I mean it's been a while since we've seen him. I hope he's alright."

Reinako quickly opened her door, a blush staining her cheeks. "S-sorry, I lost track of time. I apologize." She said just as Raito appeaed from the room oposite them, all packed and ready to go.

 

"So we about to go now?" He asked loudly a wide grin on his face. It was no secret he was excited, it was written all over is boyish face. Reinako walked pass Kusabe and stoped at the door...Or atleast where the door was. "At least you didn't bowl over my door as well."

Kusabe raised an eyebrow at Reinaki when she finally opened the door. He valued punctuality above all, especially when its about the Hokage-sama. He gave a short grunt as Reinako passed him, following suit towards the broken door. He overheard Reinako's comment regarding him not barging in through the door of her room.

 

"Be grateful. Hokage-sama ordered for me not to break in any of your rooms. Otherwise, I would've turned the entire room into ash just so you'd get out immediately." Kusabe remarked coldly.

 

The four ninjas following him all gave Reinako a weird look before Kusabe dispersed them. In a snap of his fingers, the ninjas were gone without a trace. Not even a smoke, or a blur. Just gone, like a bubble popping out of existence. Kusabe then motioned for Reinako and Raito to follow him towards the outside of the building. A few turns, and downward flights of stairs, and finally, they were able to reach the front door. Kusabe opened the double doors, and there, standing outside was Uchiha Shuuto in his Hokage outfit. He gave them a smile as they exited the building.

 

"Nice to see you all getting acquainted. I hope Kusabe-san wasn't too rough in waking you up now, Hyuuga-san." Shuuto smiled at them. "Its early anyway so if you're going to get anything, now's the time to get it. We'll be travelling to the Land of Iron in a few."

"Oh no, he was the utmost gentleman, for him at least, when waking me up. He even had the curtesy not to destroy my room door, and not call me 'girl'." Reinako said with a cheery attitude. Raito stood behind her fighting the urge to laugh.

 

"We don't need anything, I had Raito gather our things yesterday. I wouldn't want keep my dear friend Kusabe-san, or you Hokage-sama, held up any longer. It would be a shame if someone else's door was a casualty in trying to find me." By now Raito was doubled over with laugher. Reinako grabbed her mask and fitted on top of her head, instantly becoming serious. "So shall we go?"

 

"Alright! Off to the land of steel!"

 

"Iron." Reinako corrected.

 

"O-oh, right! Iron!"

Alright, So we're indeed reviving this thread for the sake of your requests.. :). So here's the gist.. Kage Summit is upon us, and Zenosuke's whereabouts are still unknown, as well as the Deva Path. Both were last seen fighting in the Akatsuki base before disappearing. The other Akatsuki members are safe, for now. Hungry Ghost Path and Hell Path are both still on the search for Sen, Shuuhei, Shado, and the rest of the Akatsuki.

 

So now, enough with the recap.. Let's put a slight time skip of three days on this..

 

 

Uchiha Shuuto, and his entourage, has reached the Land of Iron two days ago. And so did all of the other four Kages with their respective bodyguards. They were asked to stay for a while in a compound inside the main keep of the Land of Iron. Yomi Rikudo has specifically instructed the samurais to guard the Kages vigilantly, and ordered the attendants to see to their needs. It bode well to the Kages, of course, though as the meeting looms over them, some were feeling a certain level of uncertainty.

 

One of which is the Nidaime Tsuchikage, Houken Jiraisuke. He's a fairly built man with a full-beard covering his face. Among the Kages, he was very well known as someone who's as strong as a mountain. Iwagakure no Sato has lived its place in the world with having only two people ever being named as Kage. Mainly because the Shodaime Tsuchikage was also pretty tough, physically. He squinted his jet-black eyes towards the other Kages, giving them an odd look.

 

"Well.. This sure is awkward.. Yesterday, you were all my enemies. I guess that's why that Yomi person is here. Still, he's too shady." Houken Jiraisuke remarked.

 

To his right, Tofu, the leader of the Peak Vanguard, stood quietly still. Peak Vanguard is Iwagakure's elite of the elite. They predate the ANBU organizations of the other villages, and are certainly not your run of the old mill type of ninjas. They possess considerably higher levels of power, nearly comparable to a Kage. Konohagakure's Root ANBU is their counterpart.

 

From the other side of the room, Uchiha Shuuto calmly pressed a palm on the table in front of him and cleared his throat. He was used to Houken's more outlandish behavior. His eyes were lined with a cool aura, and his face was a calm. To his right, Hyuuga Reinako stood, and to his left was Kusabe. Raito was somewhere (OOC: Hotaru, its up to you where you will put Raito). As soon as he saw the other Kages facing him, he started speaking in his charismatic tone.

 

"I understand where you're coming from, Houken-dono. But we must stay away from such dangerous thoughts. Rikudo-dono is neutral, and thus I personally think he need not divulge a lot to any of us, nor does he owe it to us to do so anyway." Uchiha Shuuto said in a calm, charismatic tone.

 

He has a gift of swaying people into his arguments. While some would believe he's using his sharingan, it was but a myth. In front of the ninja world's top leaders, using a kekkei genkai would be a folly. No. Uchiha Shuuto is simply very charismatic. People started nodding to his words as he finished, even the Kages themselves. He gave a short smile and then gazed towards Hyuuga Soujiro, who gave him an approving nod.

 

Now, they are all waiting for the arrival of the venerated leader of the Land of Iron. The enigmatic Yomi Rikudo......

Reinako made sure to keep Raito close to her, so he was standing behind her. Surprisingly enough the journey here wasn't that bad. Unless you count the times she had to find Raito because he fell behind and go lost. How that happened she didn't know. Well so far so good. If anything does happen I guess I would continue to protect Uchiha-sama, and leave who ever Hyuuga-dona has to protect him. I hope he picks somebody who's good. She thought glancing at Raito who was pickig his ear and tossing the gunk to the floor. That's disgusting.

Shado and Daku arrived back at the cave, a Medical Nin dropped infront of Shuuhei as Shado let go of his collar. "Med-Nin.. If you want to survive to go back I suggest you help him" Shado says, his face covered by the darkness of his genjutsu. Daku puts down Medical Nin supplies, nearby next to Shuuhei as he waits wondering how long it will take before Shuuhei would be healed. Shado then jumps into a tree, dissappearing above them as he sits against it, watching the medical ninja whilst Daku watches him from the ground ensuring he didn't try to escape from there.

Kizashi stood behind Soujiro. His arms were crossed in front of his chest, and he stood straight up in high alert. His eyes scanned the room without him even having to move his head. His eyes were quickly darting from left to right. He wanted to remain on high alert and make sure that he protected the Kazekage with his life. Afterall, he was like a father figure to him. Kizashi also wanted to show the Kazekage that he could handle being his entourage and bodyguard. He wanted to prove to people that he was strong. He listened to the words spoken within the meeting while continuing to look out for any signs of trouble.

 

He wore on his upper half a long sleeve shirt made of iron mail and over this he wore a loose light brown T-shirt with four straps across the front of it to act as buttons. There are also straps on his arms which wrap around his forearms and end at the elbow while bandages continue down his arm and wrap around the rest of it, covering all of his arm except his fingers. He wears a pair of black gloves over the bandages, with the right hand glove being fingerless. On his lower half, he wears baggy grayish brown pants and black ninja sandals that cover all of his toes except for his big toe. Over all of this, he wore an unbuttoned gray cloak which reached all the way down to his feet.

The common room in the compound which the kages stayed in had a weird mix of high tension atmosphere with a distinct air of pride. Each kage has brought in their strongest vanguards as entourage. Nidai Houken of Iwagakure was looking extremely smug, among other people. His Peak Vanguards are well known across the villages, especially because the Shodai Tsuchikage, Houryu Jiraisuke, was untouchable during the ninja wars because of them. They expertly hid and protected Shodai Houryu from the assassins, and anyone who attempted to do approach the Tsuchikage was put under thorough search and cross-referencing.

 

It was for this reason that Houken was looking confident. He was throwing glances towards the Yondaime Mizukage, Junpei Tochoumaru, who was being protected only by a single person, a rather well-cloaked, sakkat-wearing figure that stood bigger than anyone in the room. The sakkat on top of the figure's head was literally touching the ceiling, which was nearly 10-feet from the floor. The mizukage, who was wearing the ceremonial kage uniform consisting of white robes and the kage hat that signified the symbol for Mizukage, squinted a deadly stare towards Houken. Junpei's eyes were sharp, and it was well known that he can kill someone with his looks. Whether or not he uses a jutsu was another thing. Like with all of Kirigakure, he is very secretive.

 

"Tochoumaru-chan! Why only bring one bodyguard? Are you so confident that this meeting will be peaceful? Someone might try to hit on you." Houken provoked, knowing all too well that he was liable to struck a nerve on the Mizukage.

 

Junpei tapped a finger on the table in front of him, closing his eyes and then with his other hand, he sipped some tea. "Jiraisuke-dono. I am under the impression that we are not close. Please use proper honorifics. Or are you too old to remember the proper use of honorifics?" Junpei remarked cooly, not taking the Tsuchikage's bait.

 

Houken's temper flared up. Among the five Kages, he was the one with the least amounts of tolerance against any kind of insults. He snapped his fingers and immediately, Tofu and Yori sprung up front. Both were already just finishing a seal, which meant that they already knew that Houken would get into a fight. From the ground beneath them, chunks of earth flew up numbering in the thousands, and suddenly formed into kunai-sized projectiles with a barbed tip.

 

"Earth Release: Scatter Spray Needle Technique."

 

Tofu and Yori chanted in unison. The projectiles suddenly fired out towards everyone in the room, save Houken and the two. They were fast, deadly fast. It was as if they were intending to kill. They also were twice as powerful as they generate a cut through the air, meaning they were really sharp. It cannot be evaded, that much was for sure. They would have to be blocked, but there are more than a thousand of them, since Tofu and Yori did the same technique.

 

Junpei did not opened his eyes, and instead the massive figure behind him shot out a hand, or rather, a white paw. Every projectile that came their way suddenly stopped and was turned into chakra. The raw chakra was then absorbed by the paw, which it dispersed through the floor, causing a slight shake in the structure.

 

Gozou gave a slight sigh as his three bodyguards, Three ninjas wearing oriental-chinese clothing (those that resembled kung-fu uniform like Tekken's Marshal Law) brought out a hand in front of them and did several seals with just one hand. Lightning erupted from each of their hands and struck the incoming projectiles.

 

"Lightning Release: Entangling Snake Technique."

 

The three muttered in unison as the lightning jumped from one projectile to another. The speed of the jump was estimated to be at Mach 5, which meant that it was faster than the projectiles, and as it struck a projectile, it stops it in its track, causing it to fall harmlessly on the floor. Since the three shot the same jutsu, it brought down every single projectile coming at them with relative ease.

 

Uchiha Shuuto shook his head. He knew Houken was a troublemaker, but he never anticipated the guy to actually attack everyone in the room. Kusabe, who was beside the Hokage, immediately stepped in front of him and formed the handseals for a wood technique as soon as he saw Tofu's hand seals. In an instant, a massive block of wood erected in front of him, protecting him and Uchiha Shuuto. The wood proved to be thick and highly durable, withstanding all the projectiles with relative ease.

 

"Wood Release: Imperial Barricade Technique"

 

Kusabe remarked. However, the wall was only wide enough to cover Kusabe and Uchiha Shuuto. Reinako and Raito were still open and the projectiles were still coming at them. They have to act fast, or risk being impaled by more than hundreds of the projectiles.

 

Hyuuga Soujiro was probably thinking the same thing as Uchiha Shuuto. He shook his head the same way that the Hokage did, and gave a deep sigh. Both of the two knew that the Tsuchikage was a nutter. To the left of Soujiro, a female ninja brought out a large gourd and shattered it, causing a pile of sand to encircle the Kazekage, the female, and Kizashi as well. She then formed two hand seals with her pale-white hands.

 

"Sand Release: Thousand Hand Blockade Technique"

 

As she muttered her statement, several sand tendrils rose up, numbering in the thousands, moving towards the incoming projectiles. The female was guiding the tendrils with her hands, intercepting most of the projectiles with her sand defense. However, a few got through, numbering in a dozen, half of which were still heading towards Kizashi, while some towards Soujiro. The Kazekage activated his byakugan and without moving from his seat, brought up a single hand. In one fluid motion, he struck each and every projectile with one finger, hitting all of them just below the tip, causing each one to swerve upwards and hit the ceiling instead. The ceiling was penetrated easily by the projectiles, but Soujiro was safe. There was no look of strain present on the Kazekage's face, only a rather casual gaze.

 

Kizashi, however, needs to block the projectiles or risk getting shredded by six rather fast and deadly projectiles.

Reinako moved in front of Raito in order to block him as well. "8 Trigrams: Palm rotation." It was faster than most Hyuuga's rotation, and was over just as quickly as it had began. Once that was done she returned to hr original position. Raito, on the other had, was mad. What the hell!? Why would you attack everyone? Are you crazy or something!! And you know you could've helped us too Red head!" He yelled pointing at Kusabe.

 

Reinaki frowned at Raito but it was too late to take back what he said. All she could do was se what the Kage would do and be ready to protect him. However, she did shoot him a look saying he could really ratch what he says in here.

 

Meanwhile, Sen watched the medical ninja closely. If he so much as made the wrong move she would kill him. It had been three days so she was fully recovered. She wasn't exactly sure how well Shuuhei was doing, but a medical ninja for him would put her worries to rest....For now.

Kizashi had been on high alert at all times. When the Tsuchikage started an argument, he had immediately turned his attentions to him. He was one of the first to see that an attack was even coming since he had already had his Byakugan active and had saw the chakra buildup in the two Vanguards to execute their jutsu. Eight Trigrams Wind Rotation. He quickly released wind chakra from his body, without making any hand signs or motions. The wind chakra picked up around him, forming a slight breeze which continued to grow stronger. The wind continued to pick up around him, causing the cloak he wore to flap in it's breeze a little. As the projectiles neared him, they were all shredded to pieces by some mysterious force around him. The wind chakra then died down, and the shredded peices of earth fell to the floor. He stared at the Tsuchikage, slight anger visible in his face. What's his point. Such a hot-head.
