Guest NeoBlueDragon
Hello, NeoBlueDragon here. A while ago, I started a fanfiction called 'Queen of Hearts, Queen of Games.' It was pretty creative, but reviews were down. I got tired of supporting it, but instead of quitting, I've changed the entire story to one more unique. Now, NeoBlueDragon ProductionsPresent a NeoBlueDragon Fanfiction Yu-Gi-Oh!Tales of the Duelist Queen [spoiler=Prologue 1 (The Game's History):] Domino City, a city full of history. People respected each other, and those who didn't brought shame upon itself. But then, time passed, and the young got restless. Eventually, they snapped, causing riots everywhere, until one man suggested that they find a way to vent their anger and have fun. Only one way came to mind, an innocent card game. That very game... is the game of Duel Monsters. Those who once fought to survive found themselves using the cards to settle disputes, and eventually, the game became widespread enough to be considered popular. However, for some, simply imagining the power of the cards was not enough. Eventually, one extremely bored millionaire decided, 'Hey, I wonder how to make this children's card game exciting.' Then, some other guy invented holograms, and presented the millionaire his work. It was perfect, and the millionaire used the holograms to enrich the experience of the game. Initial Opinion? "You have got to be funking kidding me. Who wastes all their money on something like that?" The millionaire ignored that comment and commissioned the Duel Arena project. It became a huge success, but the arenas proved huge and unwieldy. The millionaire thus created the Duel Disk System! Trademark. The Duel Disk became an even huger success, boosting the popularity of Duel Monsters worldwide. (Afterall, Magic the Gathering didn't have Duel Disks.) Years passed, and the game evolved further and further. However, Dueling became all about the cards. Dull. Boring. The Millionaire would have none of it, and when he was additionally pressured by public rights groups, he decided to create Several 'Duel Academies,' combining the fun of the game with the spirit of education. WHAT THE funk WAS HE THINKING?! More years passed, and the millionaire became so bored of the game, he was ready to give up. But then, after seeing some guys on Motorbikes, he came up with the most novel concept ever. Now, in the year 2015, it all comes down to this. Decades of Technological Advancement in entertainment and transportation have resulted in this - CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES! But our story doesn't start there, no. It begins before this point. To be specific, 10 years ago... To Be Continued [spoiler=Prologue 2 (The Other World):] Dueling has been many things. In the world humans consider their own, Duel Monsters is simply a game that just happens to be the center of many odd things. In another world much like our own... Dueling is more then a game... In this other World, the kingdom of Wondren had been enjoying a twelve-year peace period, since a terrible and bloody war that ravaged their homes. However, peace wasn't always present... On the balcony of the Great Palace, the five-year-old future leader of the Otherworld, Princess Alyss Harte, was bored out of her wits. "What's wrong, Alyss?" She heard a kind voice speak. Turning, her crystal blue eyes, peering through the golden locks before them, spied the young Guardsman in training, Dag. "Nothing, Dag," Alyss sighed, hand waving slightly, "It's just... I've never seen an actual Duel, and I just want something exciting." "A duel, huh?" Dag raised an eyebrow, "Well, I think I can change that." "You can?" Alyss turned to him. "Sure," Dag smirked, "I can get you in and out of the palace, but that'll be the end of that." "Works for me!" Alyss smirked.---After Dag got the girl out of the palace though his secret exit, they started searching the city for duels. "Okay, we've looked all over the city and haven't seen a single duel," Alyss noted, "I'm starting to think this idea was stupid." "Oh, please," Dag replied, "I'm sure there's at least one duel happening..." Alyss rolled her eyes... which fell upon something. "What's going on over there?" Alyss pointed at the sky. Two, faintly-bird-like shapes were heading for somewhere nearby. "Duel Birds," Dag replied, "Everyone has one. Looks like an Eagle-type and a Pigeon-type. Their presence outside the containment tower can only mean one thing..." "Which is?" Alyss asked. "It's showtime," Dag smirked, "We gotta follow those Duel Birds!" As the two ran after the birds, they were completely unaware of a blue-furred cat following close behind... At a somewhat unused intersection, two men stood at either end of the street. One had a white and gold longcoat, clothes meant for one of high status, while the other wore simplistic street clothes, like a jacket. "So, you up for this, Drakk?" The street-man asked. "As always, Kyruu," The man in good clothing responded. As Alyss and Dag joined the growing crowd, Drakk and Kyruu held their arms out. The Duel Birds landed on their arms (Pideon for Kyruu, Eagle for Drakk), then lowered down and transformed into a shield-like device, with their wings joining into a single, blade-like structure with five blue squares upon its surface. "DUEL!" Drakk and Kyruu shouted, as the number '4000' appeared behind both of them. Both players drew 5 cards from their deck and inserted the rest of it into the devices. "As the challenger, I'll go first," Kyruu drew a card, "I summon Infernity Mirage! (0/0)" Alyss's eyes widened as a transparent monster in a strange blue dress-like outfit appeared out of nowhere. "I'll also set a card facedown," Kyruu set said card facedown, "Your move." "Real monsters?" Alyss asked. "No," Dag replied, "Just the Duel Birds working their magic." "My move!" Drakk drew a card, "I think I'll start out by playing a card that can earn me an advantage - My Card Destruction! This card forces you to discard your hand and draw four new cards!" "I know what it does," Kyruu responded, "Which is why I chain with Full Salvo. I still discard cards... but you lose 200 for every one of them. That's 800 right off the bat." Four missiles came from seemingly nowhere, and hit Drakk. The number behind him changed to '3200.' Drakk shook the impact off, discarded the cards in his hand, and drew four new ones from his deck. "Since I don't have any cards in my hand," Kyruu smirked, "I'm not affected by Card Destruction. Now, I activate Mirage's special ability!" "But it's my turn!" Drakk pointed out. "Mirage's special ability can be activated whenever my hand has nothing in it!" Kyruu replied, "I tribute him to summon Infernity Randomizer (900/0) and Infernity Destroyer! (2300/1000)" Two monsters, a bulked-up being with large hands and a thing with guns for shoulders arose. "Dargrats!" Drakk swore, "I summon Celtic Guardian (1400/1200) in defense mode! TURN END!" An elf in green and brown armor appeared, crouching down and readying his sword. "I draw and play the spell card, Stop Defense!" Kyruu shouted, "Your monster switches to attack mode!" The elf sat up, still gripping his sword. "Next, I activate Infernity Randomizer's effect," Kyruu drew a card as Randomizer armed his left shoulder gun at Drakk, "I draw a card, and if it's a monster, I can hit you by his level multiplied by 200. And the card I drew was my Level 4 Infernity Archfiend!" The Randomizer fired four shots at Drakk. They struck, reducing his life points to '2400.' "Now, I normal summon Infernity Archfiend! (1800/1200)" The skull-faced demon arose from the ground, claws at the ready. "I attack with Infernity Destroyer!" Kyruu yelled, as the bulked-up demon pummeled the Celtic Guardian to death... who then shattered into several glass-like shards that faded away. The number behind Drakk reduced to '1500.' "And guess what?" Kyruu smirked, "When Infernity Destroyer destroys a monster by battle while my hand's empty, 1600 points of damage are dealt, leaving you with 0 life points, ending the game and making me the winner." "..." Drakk stared ahead, as his deck was removed from the Duel Bird, who transformed into bird mode and flew off, ".... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-" "Oops, time to go!" Dag got the young princess and dragged her off. "Hey, I wanted to see if there were any supernatural consequences!" Alyss shouted as she was dragged off.---"Wow, how amazing!" Alyss shouted as she saw the town she had looked down upon up close and personal, "Look how people don't have to force dimwits to do their stuff! It's so cool! Oh, let's buy a starter deck! I always wanted one of those!" "Yeah, sometimes, doing stuff for yourself can be cool," Dag observed, "But when you do it every day, the novelty wears off pretty quickly." Suddenly, the two noticed someone walking toward them. A young man, around their age, wearing a strange outfit resembling a cloak crossed with a jacket, with spiky green hair and an eyepatch displaying a five-point star. "Could you go away?" Dag asked him, "This happens to be the princess you're facing here. I don't think she'll take too kindly to a total stranger..." "Oh, don't worry," The man replied, "I'll stay out of your hair... that is, if you beat me..." As if on cue, two Duel Birds, Hawk-Type and Vulture-Type descended from the sky. The hawk landed on Alyss's arm and converted like the other Duel Birds earlier, while the vulture attached to the man's outfit, shifting into a kind of armor, with the wing transforming into a Duel Zone. "But Alyss doesn't have a deck!" Dag protested, "She can't duel!" "I beg to differ," The man pointed at a deck of Duel Monsters cards in Alyss's duel bird, "So, your future highness, you up for the challenge?" "Oh, am I ever!" Alyss beamed with confidence, "Not only will I become the queen of this land, I'm also going to become Queen of Games!" "Dueling the princess..." Dag swallowed his worry, "Are you desiring a beheading?!" "You tell me," the man grinned. "As the princess, I'll let you go first. And by the way, this is a Shadow Game." Starting with the second prologue... Both of you are in the wrong here. Neo, posting stuff here means you are willing to accept criticism. If not, then you shouldn't post it in the first place. Not everyone can like your work or is going to. Also, that doesn't mean you should cop a fit and give vague threats about consequences. Believe me, if you'd like some consequences, I can set you up with a warning or two, or even a ban if you'd prefer. Can it. Kaisu, if you're going to post something like that, be a bit more constructive in the future. Just saying "'Nuff said" doesn't make clear what could be made better. No fic is unsalvageable; it just takes effort. Play nice. If you're going to dump on someone's work, at least give reasons first.
