Valarie grinned. "Sure," She smiled at Cyrus. She couldn't help it. Wheneer she looked at him, she jut had the sudden urge to smile. It was a little strange, but she really liked him. "The first?Well, besides you and the people who built this? Really?" Valarie couldn't help being a little bit flattered at that particular thought, but she turned herbattention back to Cyrus. "Sounds cool. This better not be anything lower then my expectations." Valarie joked, a grin on her pale face.

Cyrus chuckled at bit at that, loving the fact that he was with her. "I aim to please. Carefull, I don't have a railing on this thing. If you fall, aim for the pillows." Cyrus laughed as she got onto the outer circle. "Now...what was that password again...oh, yeah." He straightened himself, and called out in latin. "Ad augusta, per angusta!" He called out. "To high places by narrow roads!" With a simple whirr, the circle began to lift the two up, passing rows upon rows of books, spinning while rotating so they had access to every book in the library. Cyrus looked at the shelf. "S...St...Stone!" He reached out, and yanked a book from the shelf with nimble fingers. He handed it to her. "Your book." The shelves began to empty, with only the odd book out of place.

The bell to 'The Yellow Rose' rang out as Jacob walked into the tiny coffee shop, his computer bag hanging over his shoulder, and he headed towards the front counter. Waving at a few of the customers he already knew he stopped at the counter and gave his usualy order; though he never ordered coffee. Sitting back down he opened his computer, entered his password to unlock the computer, and began to type away at it.

Valarie giggled when Cyrus said to "Aim for the pillows". "I'll try my best not to fall to my uncertain doom." She said jokingly, a smile on her face. "Do you speak Latin?" She said inquisitivly, looking at him with her brown eyes. She didn't know what he was doing at first as he looked along the shelves, but she recognized the book in his hands. "Immortal." Valarie picked up the book from his hands and leafed through the pages. "Little Johnny... The Alien... Robert E. Lee." She smiled as she skimmed the pages.

Cyrus smiled. "I can't speak Latin. I just decided to take a saying I like, I think it's from a book called Gone, and use it as a password for the lift.". He grabbed onto a shelf as the lift shuddered to a stop. "It was a good book...The way you presented the alien was a stroke of genius, in my eyes. He grinned at her. "Look, I've always wanted to do this while somebody was watching. Goodbye, Valerie.". He took a step off the edge, certain to fall...and he stayed. "It's glass, so you can get over there.". He pointed to a small ladder, built into the final row of bookshelves, the setting sun shining though the glass ceiling, painting everything red. Cyrus, after a moment of hesitation, held out his hand for Valerie to take.

Valarie was about to scream as Cyrus took a step off of the circle, but she didn't. Because he was just standing there. Just standing there on top of thin air. "What...?" Valarie said, but then nodded as he told her how he was doing it. She grabbed his hand, and slowly stepped onto the glass floor.

Cyrus, trying to be like a gentleman, led her over to the ladder. He gestured, up to the little trapdoor up in the roof of the library. "The balcony. The part of the house I go to when I'm busy feeling sorry for myself. It's pretty.". He showed her up the ladder, pushing open the trapdoor to reveal a little alcove, built atop the house. It showed a stunning view of the sunset over the town, where one could see the Yellow Rose, still open and letting costumers come and go.

Valarie followed Cyrus up the ladder, and gazed at the view of the city. She could see small people, like little ants, scurrying about, trying to get somewhere else, other then where she was already at. The view was stunning. Just simply stunning. "So I guess this is the part where I kiss you, right?" Valarie said, giving him a smile, and she leaned towards him and kissed him on his lips.

Cyrus took a step back at the word kiss. "Wait, Vlarie, you aren't going to kiss an albin-" He was cut off by Valerie's lips against his. Against her, he made some sort of squeak, a sound of defeat, but of affection as well. As soon as it stopped, Cyrus sat down heavily, his red eyes glazed over. "Whoa...er...e pluribus unum...Four score and seven...elementary..." He looked at her, a look of devotion in his eyes. "This is the first time I've been lost for words. But...are you sure you want to...you know...give up a relationship to...well, somebody like me?" He gestured to his eyes, to his hair, to his skin. Red, white and pale.

Valarie smiled. "Cyrus, I don't care if your skin is pale, your hair is white, and your eyes red. You're an amazing person, and it doesn't matter what you look like to me." Valarie gave him an encouraging smile, and inter locked her fingers with his. "Are you mad at me?" She asked. "Or are you just uncomfortable?"

Cyrus looked down. "I learned all I have about...girls from books. And as...I aged, I was more and more interested in what it felt like..." He smiled a little. "It feels nicer then I imagined it would. I'm more worried that you'll...decide to fall for someone...more normal. So, uncomfortable, yes. Mad, perhaps at myself." He looked out, and the sun had set completely. "Your...mom and dad will be worried, if you aren't home, right?"

"No. They don't care what I do. I'm pretty sure that right now they think I'm going to be at 'Jenny's' house tonight." Valarie sighed. "I could live on the opppositenside of the world, and they most likely wouldn't even notice that I was gone." Valarie muttered something that wasn't clear.

Cyrus squeezed her hand a bit. "I'm sorry." He paused, sighing and enjoying being with her. "Thank you...for...well, that...expression of affection towards me." He couldn't bring himself to say the word, it sounded so...dirty. He listened to her rant about her parents, and then mutter something. "What was that?" He asked gently, his red eyes boring into her, trying to find out what she was thinking. "Anyway, if you want, you can stay here for the night. We have a nice guest bedroom, and...I don't know about clean clothes, but I can wash them if you want."

"Oh, that muttering?" Valarie said, waving her hand as if it was nothing. "That was just me cursing my parents under my breath. It's been happening a lot more often lately." Valarie shook her head, but then smiled brightly. "But I enjoy being with you." She paused, then added, "If you wash these, what would I sleep in?" Valarie asked, and then laughed. "Thanks for offering though. I'll just sleep in this."

Cyrus thought about that for a moment, then chuckled a bit. "I suppose you're right." He stood, and headed back towards the ladder. I'm not sure what to do...she's a girl, and worse yet, a girl whom...might...have feelings for me. Of course, I like her too, but... Cyrus's worries worried him as he stepped down onto the glass floor, looking down to the library floor below him. What could he do? Would Valarie still like him in the morning? Or perhaps she did this to almost all the boys she met, and they never saw her again. His eyes where worried as he walked over to the lift, ready to send them spinning back to the ground.

Valarie followed Cyrus down the ladder and onto the glass floor. It was remarkable, actually, everything in the house was simply remarkable. She then saw the worried look on his face, not knowing what he was thinking. "Hey Cyrus, what are you worried about?" Valarie asked, looking up into his dark red eyes. She was a bit confused, and didn't know what she should do quite at that moment.

Cyrus activated the lift with his latin saying. After being silent, he said: "You. Frankly, I'm not sure how someone would like someone...something like me." He bent down, and as they passed, placed Valerie's book, Immortal, back on the shelf, with a sort of respect or reverance. The circle lowered to the ground with a shudder. "And we're back." He walked back onto the inner circle.

Valarie nodded her head in understandment. "Ah." She said simply. "I'm not some crazy slut, you know." She said, looking at him. Valarie wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him again, for longer then before. "How can I prove it to you?" She said, exasperated almost. "I don't know how." She shook her head. "Give me a hint?" Valarie said with a joking smile on her pale face.

Cyrus stepped back. "I'm not even sure what 'slut' means, but I know it's something bad." He kissed her back, but perhaps relcutantly. "I'm sorry. I've just learnt to be paranoid." Suddenly, Cyrus's crimson eyes widened. "Twilight! That review is due tomarrow, and I haven't even started the book!" Forgetting he had company, Cyrus rushed out the doors, down the staircase, and to his critic's desk in the living room, and held the book in his hands, opening it and begining to read, turning a page once every few seconds. He had to be quick.

Valarie shook her head, but then she just decided to sleep in the Living Room that he had shown her earlier, since she had no clue where the Guest Room was what-so-ever. She walked down to the quiet room, took a random place on a random couch, and she layed down and closed her eyes. All day she had had no idea exactly how tired she was until that precise moment when sleep was in her grasp.

"Ah...I'm not having fun.". Cyrus said, more to himself then anybody else. He looked up, briefly, and remembered Valerie. "Oops. Sorry about that. I only just remembered, and...well, you want to sleep there or in a bed?". Cyrus asked, standing next to the couch, still reading Twilight, going a mile a minute. He usually didn't forget to do his work.

"Nah, really it's fine, I'll just sleep here-- I don't think I have the energy to move anymore, now that I'm laying down here. It's comfortable enough for me to sleep on... You just keep on working, " Valarie yawned, stretched out, and then finally curled up into a tight ball and quietly and quickly fell into a deep sleep filled with that strange element that people call dreams.

Cyrus smiled a little. "Good night then, Valerie. I can never thank you enough for what you've done.". He sat down next to her, and read his vampire romance novel, that Cyrus didn't think was all that good, but hey. Everyone had their own tastes. Soon after he reached the last page, witty jokes and heavily veiled insults where passing though his mind. He decided he would do the review at the last minute, and simply enjoy sleeping next to the girl he already was sweet on.

He woke up a bit earlier, and decided to try and make breakfast. After a few failed attempts at pancakes, he tried frech toast and managed to make it. Standing in the kitchen off the living room, he began to talk to himself. "All most no plot...basically, a chick flick...vampires and werewolves...what do girls see in it?"
