Erikah was surprised, shocked, but relieved as Shawn approached her. There was blood on his shirt, she hadn't noticed it before, she looked down with worry in her eyes. "Noise? Was it music?" She asked, her concern for the bloody boy palpable in her voice. She didn't mean to sound hesitant, but she probably did. Maybe it wasn't me distracting him after all... I hope he's okay... Erikah looked back up to him, made eye and smiled, only softly, as seeing the blood Erikah was now, not scared, but worried that there was something either wrong with this guy, or something wrong about him. If it was the former, she would be determined to help, the latter, she would be determined to run as fast as possible back to her loft and lock the door.

ooc: JTB, your are caught!

As Jason was about to enter the police department, he turned around just to make sure he didn't miss anything that he didn't see before. He was surprised to see something, a kid, probably late teens, with blood on his shirt. "Well, well, well. Little trouble maker we have here, do we?" Jason walked towards Shawn and tapped him on the shoulder. "Not being a stalker or anything, but you seem to have a little blood on your shirt. You fall down or something, kid?"

Erikah wasn't sure why, but she felt an urge to defend the boy. She pulled up the leg of her pants to reveal a bloody scrape from her stair-related injury. "He was gonna use his shirt to bandage this, but I stopped him." She lied, knowing that the cop had seen them both in the Yellow Rose. "I felt okay and we went to grab something to eat and a coffee. Now, if you don't mind officer, I'd quite like it if you let my friend go so that we can go back up to my house, the loft across the road, and get my leg bandaged up."

Jason laughed slightly. "Explains the blood. And the broken nose...?" Jason knew these kids were trying to get out of trouble, or just this kid in particular. The girl on the other hand, might of just been trying to help the poor kid out. Either way, Jason would want to know they orgins of this blood and broken nose. Either way, he knew this kid was in some sort of trouble. And Jason was determined to find the truth of this tale of broken bones and blood. One way or another.

"The broken nose happened a while ago, sporting injury. I was watching when it happened. He was playing football. Now. you might wonder why he he's not talking. He's got a fear of cops, has done ever since a bunch of you beat him down in New York, police brutality over false drug charges. Now, if you don't mind, you're really freaking him out and he's gonna need to get out of here as soon as possible and calm down." The story seemed solid, there was no blood on the boy's face that would give it away. As to weather to cop would believe it, that was another thing entirely. Why do I even want to help this guy, I mean I owe him, but definately not this much...

"Really, a football injury?" Jason looked at Shawn's nose for a second and scoffed. "This broken nose was from football?" He looked at Erikah. "You said you were watching the game, right?" There was a slight pause in his voice, as if he was going to let her answer. "So tell me please, how did he break his nose, because so far, this story doesn't seem to be making me believe that this was all of football and your scab." Jason then turned back to Shawn. "Now, scared of me or not, I am about 7 years older then you from the looks of it. So please tell me the real story, and make sure you tell me it."

((OoC: About time... I thought my entrance with the bloody nose and limp would get his attention. NOOOOO, it's a little blood on his shirt? -_- your guy really needs close seeing glasses. XD))

As Shawn stood there waiting to see if she would jump in. Or should he continue? He only got more worried as she gave a nervous and worried look as she looked at him. Her eyes straying to his shirt. "Beep it, I forgot about that. Well now I got to explain . . . no, I can't. I didn't do anything. But why? Why do I care? Just, something about her? It's like, I got to know her? But I can't let my gaurd down even if I do." Shawn was interupted from thought as she spoke hesitantly. This made Shawn worry, he hide it very well. Shawn was just about to speak when Jason approached and tapped his shoulder before he saw him. Shawn jumped, quickly turning his attention to Jason. He lowered his colar trying to give a reaction of no fear, nervousness or worry. He made eye contact, trying to show none of thoes things. He had nothing but respect for Police. But, the blood on his shirt. Shawn would've questioned him too. Shawn's eyes showed nerves, he stalled for time by just looking into Jason's eyes. "Oh beep, he's got me. Of course, when I do something sutle and try to talk to someone he notices me. Just cause of a little blood on my shirt? But when I entered the Rose with blood pouring down my noes, and a limp? NOOOOOO. Does the world hate me? That's right, it does." Shawn paused. "Think, . . . got it." Shawn was just about to say something when the girl stood infront of him and...deffended him!? He was shocked, he just...stood there. What could he do? She had just deffended him, why? All Shawn knew, is it made him feel important. But still, he could be set up. He couldn't let his guard down. He means, she deffended him. A complete stranger, it was very suspicious. He just listened trying to contain his shock. Poorly, might I add. But his attention was drawn to her leg. As she continued her story. He just stared at her scrap. "Ouch, that had to hurt. And to think she is using it as an excuss. Was it a cuinsidance? Or there on purpose? Wonder what happened?" Shawn wondered before looking up. Still shocked, he just stood there and nodded in agreement to her story. "He then thought about his noes, he's bown to notice. Good thing I got something for that." Shawn thought with a small grin that was overshadowed by his shocked expression. He was really trying to hide it, utterly failing. Shawn then heard Jason spoke. Confident with his response, Shawn was about to answer Jason when the girl once again spoke. "Beep it, this is way too much for a stranger...or is she just that kind of heart? After this, i'll have to investigate." Shawn started to gain his composure when his face drasticly took a turn for the worse when she explained. He wanted to facepalm himself. "DO I LOOK LIKE A FLIPPIN' 300 POUND FOOTBALL PLAYER!?" Shawn quickly took his expression back. Back to being calm, and nodding in agreement.

By now, he was able to contain his shocked expression. He had other feelings going on. Most curiousity, interest, and calm and collective. "Well, she's trying I guess...I just know he's gonna see throught it though. Good thing I got a back up plan." He thought with a grin. He then heard her say why he was nervous. Before Jason could blink an eye, Shawn started nodding nervously shaking. "Nice..." Shawn thought. As he just shook nervously as he listened. He was obviously acting it up. And not doing too bad. Shawn jumped when Jason talked to him. Shawn knew exactly what to say, and how to say it. Shawn was grining on the inside as he spoke stutering perfectly. "W-w-w-we-well, y-y-your p-p-p--pol-ic-e-e-e c-a-r's l-l-ligh----lights. Affected my eye!" He blurted out quickly at the end. "I, walked into a pole..." he said no louder then a wisper. He'll belive that. Shawn thought still playing his part.

ooc: I mentioned the broken/bloddy nose!

Jason nodded his head, now looking more serious. "That is a very plausible story." Jason looked out the window. "A police cars light could blind someone, that is a very true statement there indeed." Jason looked over at Erikah and smiled. "All I wanted from you two was the truth, which was what I got from this young man." Jason began to walk out of the Rose but before Erikah or Shawn could take any breath of relief, Jason turned around and walked back to Shawn. "But the only flaw in this story is that I walked here."

"Who's to say there's not another car in the area. He could just be putting two and two together, officer. Sees a police car, get approached by a cop. I don't know about you but I think that it's pretty natural to make an association between the man in a police uniform, and the police crusier that just blinded you." Erikah was starting to worry. Her story had failed and that probably only made it harder fro this guy. God I'm a screw-up! This guy's gonna hae my guts, he's gonna get arrested now, where as if he simply told some half-arsed lie the cop would probably have believed him...

Lance and Claire were walking by and saw the problem inravaling. Lance figured the girl was trying to get out of trouble. Mainly because she paused every so often like she was checking her story so that it had some sense too it. He and Claire walked up to them. Claire stepped up and patted the girl on the shoulder while Lance turned to Jason. " We saw the whole thing. This girl is telling the truth. Now she might like it if you left her alone." Lance said to Jason.

"I'm not talking to this girl here." Jason eyed Lance. "Talking to the boy with the bloody nose and the even more blood on his shirt." Jason turned back to Erikah. "And your story, there very, VERY unlikely." Jason sighed and looked back out the window. Just tell me the god dang truth, and I'll leave. "Listen, if you think I'm going to arrest any of you, I'm not. Unless you killed someone, I will let you off the hook." Jason's view remained outside. "I can tell you people are lying. Tell me the truth, I need no else to talk except the kid with blood."

On the rooftops, a teen was watching this whole conversation. He wasn't a stalker or anything. He was just bored. He was supposed to make a delivery of fresh coffee beans to the Yellow Rose, which was stored in his backpack, but he wasn't expected in for another hour. He didn't see what happened, but he knew that something went wrong. He noticed the kid with the bloody nose and an even bloodier shirt. However, from far away, he couldn't tell if his nose was broken or he has chronic nosbleeds. The only thing he could tell is that there was possibly a fight and he wasn't in it.

Valarie nodded. "Is it... Strange, akward, to just try to stay low? Just to try not to attract attention to yourself? It's happened to me before, but I usual ust draw even more attention to myself, and just look strange." Valarie shook her head. She watched him stand up and leave the Yellow Rose, and followed him. "Seriously, you can trust me, Cyrus." She followed him out of the door, grabbing her bag. "So, watcha' want to do now?" She brushed her blonde bangs out of her eyes, and they falled back into place again. She sighed, and just left them.

Cyrus repressed a chuckle, watching her trying to shove her blonde locks into submission. "It's...strange, trying to lay low. The fedora and sunglasses get old, and they become...like chains. Ha. I made a simile. Didn't think I had it in me." After a few minutes of walking, they came to a large house, so big it could be called a mansion. "Come in." He urshered her into a spacious marbled hall, leading to a sitting room with a sofa, chairs and a large desk, upon which was thrown all sorts of papers, pens and pensils. Cyrus walked over to another room. "Pay no attention to the desk. It's a critic drabbling in a art he can understand but not preform. Make yourself at home, please." With that, he left, to find his extra sunglasses.

Valarie was surprised. "This is your house?" She said, looking around. It virtually was a mansion. It was beautiful. Valarie marveled at the marbled hall, and she was just so... amazed. She took in everything, making sure she would remember every single thing. She looked around the room, seeing a sofa, chairs, and a desk, that she assumed to be Cyrus's. It was pretty messy, but it was the desk of a critic. Valarie nodded at Cyrus's words, and sat down on the sofa, running her finges through her hair.

The albino returned, sporting a nice new pair of sunglass sticking out of his shirt pocket. "Sorry. Hm...I think this is the part where I'm supposed to ask you if you'd like something to eat or drink." He crossed the persian rug, takeing a seat across from Valerie in a red armchair. "If you're wondering, the reason I have this place is because my...father's the president of Uraguay while my mother serves in parliment. I've met them once...But they don't want anything to do with their son." He said bitterly. "So...what do you want to do?"

Valarie laughed. "I'm fine, but thanks." She looked down at her feet, quiet for a few moments. Valarie stared wide eyed as Cyrus told her about his parents. "Really? Just really?" Valarie said, completly shocked. She thought for a split second that maybe he was pulling her leg, but it would be pretty hard to pull off a trick with a huge mansion like this, so she decided that he was telling the truth. And there was the fact that she just simply trusted him in general. "I truthfully have no clue what I want to do."

Cyrus smiled a bit at her skeptisism. It was hard to lie about being richer then a lobster bisque when you where surronded by imported rugs from Persia. What one didn't know is that he lived by himself, and that while certainly enjoying his comfortable home, he would have rather lived in a shack with parents then a castle without. "Well, when you've got money out the wazoo and nobody to make you spend it wisely, there's a lot you can do. Like my library." He rolled his eyes at his own words. "That came out wrong. I hate people thinking I'm spoiled, which I might be." He shrugged.

" well then sorry to bother you officer." Lance said to him. Then he took Claire inside the rose.

Lance and Claire sat down at a table and ordered two hamburugers and fries with a large chocolate milkshake for the two of them. " So how was work today?" Claire asked her boyfriend. " Not very exciting. The usual, old woman wanting to get more 'calcium in their old bones'. " Lance said back to her.

Valarie laughed at his words. It must be nice to live independantly, but then again, if she herself lived without her parents, she would give up everything alone for her parents. She silently wondered how Cyrus felt about his living style, but she didn't say anything. It could be something that Cyrus may not enjoy to talk about, and she really did not want to get Cyrus angry or anything. "So I guess that happens a lot- people thinking that you're spoiled, and stuff." Valarie said, and then thought a bit. "Could we take a look inside of your library?" She asked.

Cyrus flushed slightly. "I guess." He led her down a long coppery hallway, with bronze designs on all four surfaces. After a sliver set of staircases, they came to a large set of french doors. "This is where I store the books I've read. Sorry, it's a little messy." He opened the doors, and bekoned her inside. The room was a circle, the walls where nonexistant. In their place, they had brown, wooden bookshelves reaching up almost untill they where out of sight, all of them packed. At the ceiling of the room, a large window look out at the sky. The floor was devided into an inner circle and an outer one. The outer circle was rotating slowly. In the inner circle, there was a selection of couches, all decorated with pillows. Gesturing to each object, Cyrus explained. "The moving circle is like an elevator. It moves up and down, so you can get books not on the first few shelves. The pillows are my collection. They all have quotes on them. One's in japanese, and I bought it thinking it said something about dragons and life, but I took it to a translator, apparetly it says 'randishes are so fine.'"

Valarie spun around on the ball of her foot, amazed. She gazed all around, trying to see everything at once. "This is just so beautiful!" She cried out not knowing what else to say. She wanted to just admire the beauty in every single thing, and explore the amazing place. "You've read a lot of books." Valarie said, then cursed herself for the stupid comment. She stepped onto the outer circle, then quickly stepped back to the unmoving circle. She listened carefully as Cyrus explained the outer circle and its purposes, and then twirled around. "This place is so cool! It's like a dream, it's just so...!" Valarie said, not knowing how to explain the amazing library.

"It is sort of like a dream. I'm thankfull I have it. It's just kind of tough, being richer then melted butter but not having anybody to talk to. But I'm not complaining, I've got all I ever wanted." He looked around. "Yeah, although at the top, it gets kind of empty. I make a living off of reading, so I've learned to read fast. I can't do numbers to save my life, though." He stepped onto his moving circle. "Want to take a ride?" He grinned at her. "You'll be the first, besides the people who built this thing and I. Or is it me..."
