It's usually used when the author wants to introduce a character if he/she wants to keep it a suprise!!!! Oh, and M.I. and FinalFan, well I just felt like saying it. Nothing to it. Although I am waiting for FinalFan's part to come up, and my newly arrived character is still namless, so I'm justing waiting for someone to name him. (He is after all, a Nobody).
