Digimon Accel: Roots of the King

 

Plot:

In the far off future of the thirty-first century, man-kind has advanced to a frightening degree in the field of technology. The simplest of necessesities is often met with little effort. The world eventually became a heavy machine-based social network, linking the earth once again by merging the continents into the original pangean form. Conformity struck the world and individualism ceased to exist for the most part.

Thus, the governments became Draconian dictatorships. The leaders of these governments did not fear an uprising as the people were content with their lives. They weren't fools. As long as the pheasents were satisfied, they knew that they had free reign. However, just because they were careful, doesn't mean they weren't greedy. They soon pursued other interests, such as the discovery of the digital world. This "other world" was documented back in the early twenty-first century, during the time of DATS, when supposed monsters would walk the earth. The records were wiped clean after the Yggdrasil incident, and the only thing left was word-by-mouth story-telling. The governments took great interest in these monsters and their world. They saw it as a means to expand their own empire and increase their power, effectively allowing them to have total dominance over the people's lives without tip-toeing over their laws.

And so the government funded a tremendous amount of their treasury to the creation of a functioning gate way to the digital world. Of course, they were successful in establishing a connection. However, something quite unexpected happened. Instead of the portal stablizing, it fluctuated, causing a distortion in the spatial and temporal dimensions of the real world. The resulting implosion caused most of the lab to burn to cinders. Unfortunately, they labeled the excursion as a failure and left it. What they didn't realize was that the initial shock caused five kids from various locations on Pangea to disappear. These kids would be transported to the digital world, find their own partners and try to find a way to get back home... if they ever make it however.

FILE 01: The Five Emerge! Those Who Would Be Chosen

FILE 01

 

The sun rose high in the digital world. Shadows receded from the incoming light as the solar body rose to its throne in the expansive sky. Below it were five kids. Although they came at the same time, they're still was some regional space between them. Still, afterwards, some digital creatures apporached them, becoming the kids' talking guardians for their time in the digital world. One such case would be the youthful golden-haired girl who landed in the ever confusing labyrinth of a forest. Brushing her hair aside, she stared at her side at the slightly smaller creature. He resembled a small kendo warrior, complete with a wooden sword at his hilt. He was dressed in a ninja garb, with his upper body covered from view. His lower half resmbled a draconian type of creature weirdly enough. She sighed.

 

"Hmmm.... Kotemon, do you know your way around here?" She asked the creature at her side. It nodded.

 

"Of course! I lived here way before you came by Felly-chan!" She sort of smiled at the cute nickname, but was more concerned at getting out of the forest. They eventually found a path paved slightly more smoothly than the rest of it. Kotemon clapped as he responded,

 

"See! We're on our way to Proxy Town, that should be where the other humans and their partners are going to be." Felicity nodded as they continued.

 

(RP DIRECTIONS: At this moment you all need to head to the fictional town I mentioned. Don't forget to post some dialouge between you and your digimon as well as some description.)

Syler walked towards the town on the horizon, and was kind of consumed in thoughts, in an unusually stable mood. He was not really thinking, but just zoned out. He was so far gone, he did not even notice his partner tugging on his jacket's sleeve. It was black, and fuzzy, in contrast to his white smooth t-shirt. His jeans were not ruffled, but not straight either. As his thoughts slurred, he felt the dragon tugging. He looked down at Monodramon, and asked. "Yes? What is it?" Monodramon posed his question. "So, why are we headed to this town again?" Syler just shrugged and replied, "I dunno. The other guys are supposed to be there." Monodramon just nodded, and they walked i silence.

Sean was walking towards Proxy Town, when he began to realize something. With his partner walking next to him he asked, "Hey, Flamon, what do you think we will find in Proxy Town?" "Beats me," said Flamon. The only thing Sean was thinking about was whether or not his father was ever seen in that town or heard about. Maybe Felly-san will know if something had happened to my father or not. he thought. The two then continued walking hoping to find any possible answers on his father.

Not far from the only town within walking distance, there was a girl with black hair pulled up in a messy ponytail. Slightly behind her was a black and purple looking puppy, or at least that's what one would've thought at first. It was actually the girls digimon partner, or so it said. "Crystal-san?" The digimon spoke up.

 

"What is it?" The girl, obviously named Crystal, asked.

 

"You do not like it here do you?" Crystal paused and turned to look at the digimon, who at the moment looked rejected and sad. Her purple striped black ears were flatened against her head, and her tail was down.

 

Crystal observed the female digimon before sighing, "It's not that I don't like it here...I just still find it hard to believe that such a fictional world exists." She then smiled gently. "Come on Tsunamon, Proxy Town isn't that far away."

 

Tsunamon instantly pearked up, and followed Crystal.

[Yorukin]

Trudging through a smallish expanse of wastelands, the sun found a brown-haired boy with loose clothing, and a small, furry creature with a reptilian build and mammalian appearance. His purple fur contrasted rather sharply against this boy's somber clothing. The boy looked down at him. "Dorumon, you sure this is the right way to Proxy?"

 

"Of course," he replied. "As I said, there'll be other kids there. It won't just be you and me anymore, Alan."

 

Alan shrugged and netted his fingers behind his head. "Well, I just hope we get there soon. This area is getting kinda dull."

 

"I know what you mean. If my calculations are right, we should make it there by nightfall." Dorumon quickened his pace a little.

 

"Hey, wait up!"

Crystal and Tsunamon made it to the town. While Tsunamon seemed to be trying to guide Crystal some where within the town, Crystal took out her notebook and began writing. "Crystal-san, we must hurry the others might already be there waiting." Crystal simply ignored Tsunamon. Two minutes later she closed her notebook and turned to her digimon. "They will be fine if we are a few minutes late."

 

She looked around again, observing the tall buildings and the many small digimon that passed by her. After a while she turned to Tsunamon and said, "Lead the way."

After a few minutes of walking, the two made it to the entrance of Proxy Town. I wonder where the others might be in this large town, he thought. As Sean and Flamon walk through the small town, the small digimon around them began to stare, as if something strange might happen that might involve the two. "Why are they staring at us?" Sean whispered at Flamon. "Whatever it is, let's hope it doesn't involve us anytime soon until it is completely necessary," said Flamon.

Alan was exhausted, but he was glad to see civilization again. He stopped to pant after passing a few buildings, but Dorumon still seemed to be full of energy. "Come on, Alan! We don't know how late we are!"

 

Alan got up and took one more breath. "Sorry. It's not my fault we had to walk under really exhausting conditions."

 

"If we had turned left like I recommended--"

 

"Whatever. Let's just get going." He started walking calmly, hiding his hyperventilation.

 

Dorumon rolled his eyes and followed.

The pair continued their smooth walk down the forest's path, narrowly avoiding the passing by of various digimon by staying out of sight. Soon afterwards, a small town came into view. Felicity was glad.

 

"Oh Kotemon, is that it?" She asked with some hope. He nodded.

 

"Yep. Shouldn't be much longer now." Without any other distractions, they made their way down the road and to the village itself. When they arrived, they were greeted with many a kind of digimon. They were small and seemingly baby-like, to which Kotemon explained they were a lower level of evolution than he was. Felicity responded,

 

"So they're like when you were Caprimon?" Her question was answered with a muffled yes as he met with some of his old friends.

 

(RPD: Come to town, introduce yourselves, etc.)

As Syler sauntered into town, with Monodramon close behind, before he was swarmed by the infant Digimon. They warmed his heart, and put him into a lighter mood for the time being. HE bent down and picked one up. As he played with the little Digimon he asked Monodramon a question, accompanied by a light and heart fileld laugh. "So, where are we, if you know, Monodramon?" The dragonoid monster smiled, knowing that right now, things would be good. "Well, I'm not sure", he began, "But it seems to be a peaceful enough town." Syler was tossing the small Digimon in the air like a baby, when he noticed Felicity and Kotemon. HE set the baby down and called to her. "HEY!"

"Oh!" Felicity was taken by surprise for a moment before looking back. There she spotted another human, a boy around her age... older more than likely. She carefully walked around the infant digimon and towards Syler. She bowed as she said,

 

"Eh... nice to someone else in this freaky place. I'm Felicity by the way." She smiled, holding out her hand.

Much like the others, Sean and Flamon were accompanied by small infant digimon as they continued on. "Wow," Sean began. "I can't believe you used to be one of those little things, Flamon." Flamon laughed and said, "Well, I'm glad to be by your side right now." Sean had stopped and tickled one of the baby digimon and it laughed. "Who'd to think these things would be so cute," said Sean. He then heard a familiar voice. He looked around and eventually saw Felicity and Kotemon. He also saw someone new with his digimon partner. "Come on Flamon!" Sean and Flamon began to run towards the 4. "Felly-chan!" yelled Sean as he got closer. Then Flamon saw Kotemon. Is that the Kotemon that I know? thought Flamon as they were almost there.

Syler extaccepted the shake and smiled genuinely. "I'm Syler, and this is Monodramon." He said, motioning to the purple dragonoid. "So, do you know where we are, exactly? Monodramon and I are... kinda lost." The dragon retorted with "Kind of?" sarcastically, but nothing more. Syler was about to say something when he noticed Sean running up, and heard the term 'Felly-chan'. He changed his question, with a chuckle, and inquired "An aqcuaintance of yours? I'd think so by the... affectionate terminology."

 

Monodramon stepped around Syler, and walked up to the Kotemon. "Nice to meet you." He said, giving a mock bow, with genuine meaning behind it.

[Yorukin]

Unwittingly, Alan had attracted 2 different small digimon, who decided to hitch a ride on his shoulders. He smiled as he lifted his arms to support them. "Heh. This reminds me of when I first met you, Dorumon."

 

"Really? I never rode on your shoulders when I was that small."

 

"Yeah, but these guys just trigger the thought in my head." He was about to say more, when he heard conversation from around a corner, followed by someone calling "Felly-chan!"

 

Dorumon perked his ears up. "I think that's them. Should we check it out?"

 

Alan shrugged. "Sure, I guess." He deposited the young ones on the ground and went around the corner to see more humans, each coupled with another digimon. He scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. "I... did not expect this many. Um, hi, I'm Alan."

 

Dorumon, however, showed no modesty. "And I'm Dorumon. Nice to meet you all," he said, smiling.

Crystal continued walking taking in everything she saw. She couldn't stop the smile from forming as she watched the small digimon play. As she looked around she saw 8 people all standing together. Well four people, and their digimon partners. "Looks like we are the last ones here, Tsunamon."

 

"I told you! Come on!" Tsunamon yelled running towards the group, while Crystal continued her walk. When she got closer she heard Tsunamon introducing the two of them.

 

"Hi, I'm Tsunamon and that's my partner Crystal-san."

 

Crystal took out her notebook and began jotting small things down on what she first noticed about the group. As well as their names, and digimon partner. "As she said, my name is Crystal Rithalston. It's a pleasure."

[Yorukin]

Alan looked around. "So... is that everyone, or is someone else coming too?"

 

Dorumon shook his head. "Nope. That's everyone."

 

"Nice. So, uh... what do we do now? I mean, since I came to this world, I've always been told by some digimon or another what to do. Do any of you know?"

 

[OOC: I realize that this post didn't accomplish anything, but we're all awaiting new RPD. I'm a little bored. :neutral:]

Crystal acknowladged the boy, who's name was Alan, and offered a shrug. "Your guess would be as good as mine. Besides I just got here, and my observations have given me no indication of what our purpose for being coagulated is." She then turned to Tsunamon. "What about you. Have any idea?"

 

"All I know is that we digimon were suposed to bring you all together in Proxy City."
