There are currently [1] spots open.
Four years ago, six horrific murders took place in the city of New York at the exact same time. All six were linked, done by a team of six genius, lunatics. But the details of these murders are unimportant. In the end, a small team of two detectives solved the case and it was over. The six were placed in an asylum, and although they left in imprint on many people's lives, they were soon forgotten by the general public.

Fast forward four years. Something has gone wrong. All six have escaped, and currently are assumed to be located in New York. The government tries to keep their escape quiet and has called upon the two who have solved the case of the six murders before to prevent a new one from happening. And so the game begins.

Rules: All YCM and YCM's roleplaying rules apply.

I will be one of the detectives. Another detective spot is open, along with the six lunatic spots. The lunatics' motives for this roleplay will be completely up to the people who play them. The roleplay will end once all characters but one lunatic are dead, or once either or both detectives are able to arrest the lunatics. For people playing the lunatics, keep in mind that you become a major target by just killing your fellow murderers. Also, the less people to track, the easier it is for the detectives to capture all six people. Don't assume what people post or leave a description of in their post is true. And be realistic. No getting a ton of bombs into a building that everyone happens to be in at the same time except yourself.
If you are not here, you aren't accepted. I'll post my app. later.

Two (now one, since another person has joined) of the lunatics have not contacted the other five, and may never be introduced into the roleplay.

In your first post, please post your app once again in a spoiler, so other people can get some idea of you.
Name: Jason Stratten, alias Michael Connors

Age: 25

Gender: Male
Appearance:]7.jpg&ei=npzlS93xHIOB8gaC05mpBA&sa=X&oi=image_landing_page_redirect&ct=legacy&usg=AFQjCNEnnDCOVKjxF4jjDt8mSITHraa_Xg

Clothing: Jason wears dark pants, a brown/maroon button-up shirt, and a black shirt over that. He wears a pair of glasses with dark lenses. Inside his shirt, he has a hidden holster, with a small revolver/magnum in it. He has an analog wristwatch made out of silver on his right wrist, and wears semi-dress shoes. A small ring adorns his left-hand ring finger.

Personality: Jason is cold, and quite heartless. He does what he has to do to get through his goals, but often makes rash decisions, which complicates his situation. He looks younger than he is, and hates it when anyone makes a comment regarding his age. He has even pulled his gun on those who, without knowing, slip about his age, though he hardly ever fires it. Jason has a short temper, and can explode when he is rubbed the wrong way, especially regarding age. Jason is also a master manipulator, and knows exactly the right words to say to make almost anyone believe anything he wants them to.

Biography: Jason grew up knowing only his mother. His father was constantly away, and whenever he would ask his mother about him, she would shake her head and draw his attention elsewhere. This continued until Jason was sixteen, when his father appeared on television...in a story describing his charges. Jason was both devastated and awed by his father. At that moment, Jason decided that he would become a mastermind criminal. He spent the next five years of his life plotting, planning, and perfecting his strategies. Then, at the age of 21, he committed his first murder. As he stood, holding a smoking gun, he felt no emotions other than pure ecstasy. He found killing to be the best thing he had ever done. Jason was placed in an asylum, and spent four years figuring out how to escape. Finally, at the age of 25, he broke out of his cell, killed a guard and stole its gun, and left the asylum.

Jason sighed, glad to finally be free of that asylum. As he walked away from it, he looked back. It had a lot of memories, most of them bad. He felt his secret pocket, which held the small magnum he had taken from the guard he killed. He grinned; killing was quite possibly his favorite pastime. He would have killed more if he had not been caught. He swore that he would never get caught again, that he would rather shoot himself. But, no, that would never happen. He would just shoot the cops, or the detectives, or whoever came for him. He sighed again, and turned to face forward. The town was coming into view; it was quite beautiful at night.

Jace always looks out for his partner, no matter what.

Biography: Jace Elliot Carter was born on July 14th in Brooklyn, New York. As a child growing up in the most dangerous parts of the city, Jace learned to defend himself with martial arts taught to him by his elder brother, Marcus Carter. Jace had always loved mysteries and crime dramas. Jace would always played detective with his siblings, with Jace figuring out every mystery that his siblings would come up with. Jace has always had a strong sense of justice. He believed justice is what keeps a society from destroying itself. Growing up, Jace worked long and hard in school, acing every class he took. He soon graduated from New York University with a masters in business. At 22, Jace became the vice president of a large computer company, but this had never made him happy. At 23, Jace decided to go into law enforcement, and quickly worked his way up to detective. During the same month he was promoted, Jace was working on a infamous case involving six lunatics. After he and his partner completed the case, Jace moved to Manhattan into a small apartment complex where he spend four years solving smaller cases with his partner. Now at age 27, Jace is ready to once again tackle a new case involving the same six lunatics he encountered before.

During a raining day in New York, Jace took the train back to his house. The setting around him looked gloomy, with rain pouring violently down towards the cold, hard concrete ground. Jace appeared gloomy, his face showing emptyness. He walked up the stairs of a huge building and opened the door to his apartment. His clothes were soaked with water from the torrential rain outside. Jace looked at his watch and sighed. "{Sigh} This rain sure is relentless........ I wonder what's happening down at the station? It's been quiet lately........" Jace thought to himself as he sat down on his couch without caring about his wet clothes.

Just then Jace's cellphone started to ring. Jace didn't brought his cellphone with him today earlier at work. He walked towards his room and answered the cellphone. On the cellphone was the chief of police telling Jace to meet at the station, it sounded urgent. "Huh, why would the chief wanted me to get down there so quickly? Well, I better get going." Jace stated as he ran out of the front door carrying his cellphone. As he exited his apartment complex, Jace put his phone into his pocket and locked the door before running off into the streets. Luckily for Jace, a taxi was nearby, so Jace got onto it and later arrived at the station. Jace went inside and headed towards the chief's office.

Name: Derek Armdike

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Appearance:

sb1zld.jpg

Clothing: See bio. He is a master of disguise, thus his clothing varies. However, if he would have to wear specific clothes most of the time, such as in the office, it would be the ones featured in the picture.

Personality: Derek can easily be underestimated due to his laid back nature. However, generally this is just a cover up to his more serious, and collective personality. He is extremely intelligent. Still, his greatest weakness is his overconfidence. Although he has a great sense of justice, Derek tends to resort to unfavorable tactics when solving cases and believes one has to go below the law to solve some cases.

Biography: Derek was raised in a orphanage, and was adopted by a local detective and his wife when Derek solved a case about a missing child with ease, at the age of seven. He was home schooled by the detective some of the time and the detective's wife most of the time all the way up through high school, and the schooling focused and detective work. He was literally bred to be a detective, and with his father's recommendation, he joined the police force at the age of 19 with going to college. Like Jace, his future partner, he was promoted to detective within a year, and gained about six years of experience before pairing up with Jace to solve the six murder cases. They have been partners ever since.

Derek sat in a cafe, waiting for the rain to stop, and more importantly, his coffee. The place was gritty and rundown, but it made Derek feel at home, so he visited it often. Despite the high prices.

Derek looked like a stereotypical detective. His hair was untidy and unkempt, his eyes weren't tired, but numb and moody. He wore a long trench coat with a dress shirt and dark, dress pants. He seemed ready for any case.

But nevertheless, Derek was bored.

Ever since the six murder cases were solved four years ago, Derek has been bored out of his mind. No other cases have challenged him since then. He can't explain it better than that.

"Lady!" yelled Derek, his voice scratchy. "Lady!" he yelled again, clearer. "When's the coffee going to be ready?"

A loud, obnoxious voice responded from the back kitchen, "Second, dear, second. Hold your horses."

Derek rolled his eyes as if he were a teenager.

He waited for a few moments, and was going to yell again, but another thing interrupted him: his cell phone. He answered it without checking the number.

A familiar voice was on the other end.

Derek leaned back in his chair. The lady came from the back kitchen and placed the coffee on his table and left without another word. "Uh huh, sure," answered Derek, his voice was seemed laid back, as if he lived in a care free world. "Sure, chief, I'll be right there," Derek put his phone away with a grin. He got up, left a tip with his coffee, and quietly exited.

Jason had reached the city, barely entered it in fact. His hair was thoroughly soaked. He took a deep breath; he had not been there for four years. Sighing, he looked around. Why does it seem that there are more cops than before? he thought, amused. He saw one man inside a small restaurant who was obviously a detective. He even remembered him as one of the men who had arrested him, and shoved him into that asylum. He was tempted to pull out his gun, but decided against. The man now looked as if he was going somewhere, and Jason decided to follow him.

Kevin entered the building strong and proud he was VP of the company and had the most power in the whole room.

"Janet, having a good day?"

After she didnt reply he became frustrated

"Forget you then jabroni!"

He said it loud enough to embarrass her. He was appologetic but didnt say anything. He walked into the mirror elevator. It was called this because of its mirror walls.

"Sexy as ever ready to strike."

He started throwing a few punches at nothing but for the hell of it. He advanced up a few more floors and excited, he had arrived at his office floor.

Derek decided to wait rather than take a taxi for two reasons: for one, he was out of money, and two, even if he had money, he needed some exercise. The rain was beginning to stop, and the streets were mainly clear with the exception of a few individuals. For a busy city like New York, it seemed quite peaceful.

Continuing walking, he took out his wallet from his back pocket and revealed a small note card and a pen. He scribbled something on it and stuck it into his pocket. For later, he thought.

He smiled again. This was beginning to become his lucky day.

...

A few minutes had passed, and Derek walked up to the police office he remembered so well. He opened the door, and walked in.

Jason stopped a few blocks away from the station. He had no need to follow the man any further; he knew where he was going. So predictable. He smiled to himself, and turned away. He caught some people across the street giving him strange looks. Jason assumed they must be wondering his age, and crossed the street to them. He reached into his hidden pocket, and grabbed his magnum, though he didn't pull it out. "What are you looking out?" The group cowered under his fierce glare, and backed away. Jason shook his head. Too easy...Now what should I do? Jason decided he would simply roam around the city...or maybe he would learn what that detective was in such a rush about. He turned, and walked until he was across the street from the station. Dangerous, yes, but...he had the best view from there.

Strange he thought as he walked in his unlocked office.

He proceded with caution and sat in his desk chair and turned around to his bullet proof glass wall. It had a perfect view of the city and easily showed everything important going on. He saw a man enter the police station in a trench coat and it unnerved him. He quickly turned around and started a confrence call. When he was finished he took out a special vile of almost glowing blue liquid he named Zydrate. It was a mixture of rideline and other common behavior controling meds. He was seemingly addicted to it but he was really using it to block the guilt he felt. It altered his mood and changed his perspective made him stronger in a away. He looked through the glass and looked down at the street. In the very corner of the glass wall there was a walk way surrounded by the glass that extened a few yards above ground he had a bed there. He went and layed on it to take a nap.

Jace walked towards his deck and checked his folder for a memo. After awhile of looking through his documents, Jace then set it down and looked towards the chief's office. "I guess the chief wants to talk directly........ This must be very important then." Jace said to himself as he made his way towards the chief's office. He then noticed his partner walking through the front entrance and decided to walk over to him. "Derek you're here. Well I guess you decided to take your sweet time getting here huh?" Jace asked jokingly. "Anyways, we should probably get into the chief's office before he starts to get impatient. You know how the chief is these days, with the divorce and all that." Jace stated.

Derek nodded and let out a small chuckle. "We can only hope you got his coffee today," he then muttered, scratching his head, "'cause I didn't... Anyway, I think I have an idea of what he's going to tell us about. Let's go." His stomach grumbled.

He then hung up his coat on a new bye coat hanger and smiled at the coat hanger for no reason.

Derek knew he looked odder than usual, but didn't really mind. He was too excited. Today was a special day, a day he was waiting four years for. He could feel it.

"Hehe, yeah I should probably go get that coffee." Jace stated jokingly. "Man, today's morning rain sure was heavy huh? My clothes are still soaking wet from this morning. Lucky for you, you didn't have to come in early to file the paperwork for that kidnapping case. Oh well, I guess I can't complain........" Jace proclaimed as he walked towards the chief's office with Derek. Before entering, Jace took out his cellphone and turned it off. He then looked at Derek with a smile. "Don't want the chief yelling at me for when my girlfriend called last time. I had to actually stayed late that day." Jace stated as he opened the door and walked inside followed by Derek.

The covered sun from outside let in no light through the office's only window, making the office feel harsh and morose. The chief was sitting in his desk, his hands rubbing his forehead. Derek shut the down as he entered after Jace.

The chief looked up. He was a pudgy, old man, long past his prime. Still, he was one of the greatest police chiefs New York has ever been gifted with, and his respected even up to this day.

"I'll just cut to the chase boys," muttered the chief in disgust, "The six loons you put away from four years ago have escaped from the asylum. We are putting you two on the case again, no ifs ands or buts about it. Capture them and prevent a new murder case from opening, because you may be the ones who are the victims this time. But I'll warn you, we got no leads, no clues, no idea where they are other than that we assume they are in New York. They got us."

Jace was shocked by the news of the escaped convicts. "What?! Damn it! Even a maximum sercurity prison couldn't hold them? This is not good." Jace responded. He then crossed his arms and regained his composture. "These lunatics are smarter than I thought. We have no leads, no clues, no nothing. Where are we suppose to begin?" Jace asked frustratingly. "Derek, do we still have data on these lunatics from the last case?" Jace asked with a serious tone. He then turned to the chief. "Alright then chief, we'll do our best to capture these guys before something bad happens." Jace stated as he once again turned to Derek. "We should probably start at the prison. We'll take my car. I'm suppose to pick it up today anyways, and the mechanic is near here so let's go." Jace stated.

Jason had grown tired of waiting, and had turned to stalk away. He huffed as he saw another group of people looking at him as if he was too young to be outside this late...or early...whichever. This time, however, his short temper got the better of him. He knew that he would regret doing this in front of the police station, so quickly formulated an escape. Then, he reached inside his black shirt, and gripped the magnum. He pulled it out and pointed it at the people in one fluid motion. He aimed at one of them, who was cowering, and closed one eye. He pulled the trigger, and BANG!...he had aimed right above the man's head. A woman screamed, and the man collapsed in fear. Jason saw that he had left a hole in the wall behind him. Shrugging, he slid the gun back into his shirt, and took off running.

A bigger grin than Derek had shown all day appeared on his face. Both chief and Jace gave him odd looks. "Don't get me wrong, chief, I'm just as angry as you are that the six escaped. I'm smiling because of my dumb luck," Derek started, "You see, when we were walking over here, it was still raining. Plus, I was walking in some of the most deserted parts of town. And lastly, for about eight blocks the same person was following me. This is obviously no coincidence. But honestly, I thought he was some random criminal wanting revenge. So, at about three quarters of my way here, I pulled out my wallet, with a piece of paper in it, which I pulled out shortly afterwards. My stalker saw both of this. What he didn't see, was when I pulled my wallet out, I pulled my phone out as well, slightly though, but big enough so the camera on it can poke through, and snapped three pictures by pressing a side button, then dropping it into my pocket. What I wrote on the paper was a decoy, which would distract him even if he thought he saw me pulling out my phone."

Derek sat down in a nearby chair and leaned back. "Here," he pulled out his phone again, pressed a few buttons, and a small noise popped up. He grinned again. "I guess I got lucky. Who else looks this young? No one else but Jason Stratton."

Jace was surprised and relieved at the same time. "Man that sure was sly of you. Glad to have a partner like you who I can depend on to get every single piece of evidence we'll need." Jace stated. "Well now that you have that, we should head over to the mechanic and then to the prison." Jace proclaimed. Just then a woman ran into the police station and yelled about a person who got shot. "What?! A person was shot! Damn it! It must be Jason, we should go check it out!" Jace exclaimed as he ran out the door towards the scene of the murder. A couple of policemen then followed.

Derek ran outside the office, with Jace and a few other police officers following. "You," he pointed to a young police with a buzz cut, "and you," he pointed to an older, short policeman, "get people out of here, and now you," he pointed to the last of the three policemen, a tall black man, "call for back up while setting up a perimeter. No one gets near the victim. Also, keep your phones on," he pulled out his cell phone, "no matter how blurry it may be, I'm sending a picture of the possible gunman to the chief, who will send it to all of you. Keep on the lookout for this individual."

Just then a few ambulances pulled up, with two police cars following.

((I didn't shoot him, I shot above him))

Jason continued running for a few minutes before he realized that the cops would catch him quick if he didn't have a ride. He stopped, and looked around. There were a few cars around, but none of them would probably be able to outrun a police cruiser. He ran for another block, and finally got rewarded. There, outside an old house, was a red 2009 Mustang Cobra GT. Grinning, he ran up to it. He pulled one of his arms into his sleeve, and slammed it into the window. He brushed the glass away, then reached in and unlocked the door. Opening it, he slid into the driver's seat. I hope this works like I think it does, he prayed silently. He leaned down, and reached under the steering wheel. He felt around until he had the right wires. He tapped them together a few times, and was rewarded with the roar of the engine. "Oh yeah," he muttered quietly, before shifting into gear, backing out, and driving off.

Derek walked up to the victim, who was on the ground apparently knocked out. He scratched his head. "I thought this guy was dead," he glared over at the lady who announced the man was shot. "Whatever," Derek sighed. "A bullet was shot," he looked at the wall, "that much is clear. Set up a perimeter anyway."

Derek looked closely at the dent into the brick wall the bullet made. "He couldn't have gotten far."

Waking up from his long nap it was almost 10pm "Damn it seams like it was only for a few minuetes." His personal secretary Alyssa walked in "I am leaving for the night sir." in a pleasent tone Kevin said "Come here I want to talk to you." She sat down and with little diliberation he began kissing her. She didnt pull away, soon enough the entire street below saw what they were doing and didnt care. They all said things like "Lucky" and "She's hot" but they knew that she really wasnt "His." After about and hour of their antics. He took her to his apartment. She slept there that night. In the morning at 4:30 he awoke and got ready for the day. Remembering the email the day before he grabbed his keys and took the SUV this time. He went to the stated address and followed all directions. Any time he would do something right another direction would appear somewhere. He now pulled out a large dagger like blade. "Alright you little sheet Im done playing, lets dance." All he heard before he was knocked out was a feminine voice saying something along the lines of 'last night was great' and he fell backwards into a large pile of gravel.

Jace made his way to the scene. There he found the victim who was apparently knocked unconcious by the shock instead of actually being hit by the bullet. "Huh, good thing we don't have a dead body on our hands......." Jace stated as he sighed in relief. The lady then appoligized to both Jace and Derek for her mistake. She stated she was terrified by the gunman and panicked without realizing what happened. "It's alright ma'am, we all make mistakes......" Jace reassured her. "I want people out of here now. We need to evacuate the area to check for footprints of any kind, and also check what kind of bullet and gun was used." Jace stated to one of the police officer. He then walked over to Derek. "So what are we going to do now? You said he didn't got far so we could try to search for him." Jace stated.

Guest PikaPerson01

Name: Constance Sonnerie

Age: Sixteen

Gender: Female

Appearance: http://i41.tinypic.com/2r57pxg.png

Clothing:

She has little money, typically gaining a new outfit either from stealing it from small local stores with limited security, or by asking very very sweetly for anyone to buy it for her. Her most preferred ensemble comes from a local school, because it fits her and because it allows some sense of normalcy.

Personality:

She has a flirty, adorable, charming personality that she frequently uses in order to exploit people. The murders she performs aren't particular out of malice, however they seem to be performed due to a lack of a fundamental moral guidance. For any fans of Freud, she is reliant entirely on her Id, only caring about her own thoughts and showing little regard to the rest of the people around her. In short, she knows what she wants, and she has a pretty good idea of how to get it. If the sweet adorable little girl can't get it, she'll be forced to do away with anyone standing in her way.

Biography:

Enraptured by fire at an early age, her first brush with death came at just ten years old. A small collection of newspapers was all that was needed for the fire to be started by the girl playing with a lighter. She was found in her pajamas at 2 AM, just staring at the inferno. She showed little emotion, as firefighters struggled to put out the blaze. The young girl was left completely orphaned.

Now living in a foster home, as she grew older strange and unfortunate little... circumstances began to befall those that got in her way. What's that? Becky Stinson got the lead role as Juliet, and she would get to kiss Chad Roberts? Well, how fortunate for the rest of the cast that Constance, the understudy, was able to step in to play the heroine, on the one day Becky decided to wake up tied to a tree.

Dina Tutor used to wear such a pretty necklace. That is, until she got hit by that car. Now she can't fit anything over that neck brace of hers. And Dina's necklace? It was never seen after the car wreck. And Ms Umbridge, who had threatened to fail Constance in Math? Constance figured messing with her engine would be sufficient, and end up cutting the brake fluid.

And throughout it all, very few suspected the young lady, until one fateful day... but let's save that for later.

Her lawyer managed to get her off on insanity, and it was presumably correct as the girl seemed to have a limited moral compass. At the young age of 12, she was sent to a mental asylum.

Now that she's clawed her way to freedom, her primary thoughts are mostly on revenge for the two detectives that put her away.

---

"That's right... we all make mistakes. I'll... be more careful the next time." the woman who had barged into the police station stated, surprisingly calm, followed by a light giggle as her eyes focused on the detective who had spoken with her. Her blue hair was a matted mess, the rain and wind causing her hair to be placed around any which way on her face. Not to mention she had last seen these two men back when she was 12 years old. She was sure he'd not recognize her, but she certainly recognized him.

"If you're going outside, don't forget to bundle up," she muttered. "you'll catch your death..." another quiet giggle as she casually walked away from the scene. She made certain to burn the current image of the man's face into her brain.

The young man she was with was her tutor, a 19 year old college student by the name of Charles Stranton. They had met about two weeks prior to her recent chance encounter with the detective. Charles was training the youth for the SATs, or so he thought, unaware that not only did she have no intention for taking a test, but that he was primarily being used by the girl. The tutoring in his house were just because she had no other place to go, and she had no obligation to pay him for his services unless, like his Craigslist advertisement promised "i help u pass the sats with a 1850 minimum or u dont have 2 pay me". All the coy flirting, and her suggesting to spend the night over "studying" were just her being homeless and not wanting to spend the time in a shelter.

She escorted the young man, leading him by the hand. He, naturally, still seemed stupefied by almost being shot at. But she knew how to catch his interests again. She put on a seductive voice as she spoke. "We really need to get back to your parents apartment so you can help me with my... algebra." That seemed to draw his interest. She smiled, men were so easy to manipulate.

"Oh, but before we get there can we stop at Magnolia's Bakery? There cupcakes are... to die for." She giggled, large blue irises staring at the young man.

Locking arms, the two walked along the Avenue of the Americas. She knew what she had to do, the cyanide already in a flask in her pocket.

"Well," Derek looked down on the ground. He then turned to Jace, saying, "Yeah, I'm sure he's not too far. He probably did this for two reasons, one being to attract the attention of the loons, assuming they aren't together, which I doubt, otherwise he probably wouldn't have bothered to track me. The other would be to try to get away from us. Being crazy, this wouldn't be too out of the ordinary for him. If anything, it confirms it was him. Either way, a man can only run so far in a short amount of time," Derek paused to sigh. Reality was setting in. This isn't all fun and games anymore. "Still, I think we should go to the asylum to see if we can find clues there. The rest of the police can go on a manhunt for this guy. Whether or not we help track him too won't make too much of a difference."
