yesterday the WHOLE day it couldnt load

Empathy, GET!!! A lot of times, I try to load YCM, but it takes forever. One time, I loaded and waited for 5 minutes. Wasn't there. I waited a few more seconds then took like a 10 minute dump. When I came back, it still didn't finish loading.

Hmm, my time zone is -8, so I think I put in the wrong times.

My time zone is +11 I think. Possibly +10. (Melbourne, Australia)

Anyway, I seem to be getting random crashes.

Oh and at approx. 7:30 AM, YCM is unaccesible. Every time I reload the page I get a different error code.

Seems I spoke too soon. YCM was out most of the Afternoon GMT today. Weekends seem to be better.

It got the error code again today I went on at about 9am its now 10am and its working.

 

It could have been out longer than that but I don't know I wasn't trying to get on earlier than 9am.

HUGE CRASH TODAY. But I think that they were doing something to the server.

 

@LightMaster- I was just giving everyone a sub site that is a twin to this one, so when this site does crash, they can go there.

With the new update to this site it didn't help. YCM continues to be the slowest site I'm ever on by a long shot. Takes a long time to load and post.

From midnight to 4:00 PM where I live, YCM WILL NOT, on ANY DAY, load. In order for it to load, I have to stay on it through midnight and leave my computer on it. If I close Firefox or log out, that's it until after 4:00.

Hi guys,

 

I was asked to come on here and help make some optimizations.

 

Me and another IT guy have made some changes/optimizations here.

 

- We're now using a InnoDB instead of MyISAM on a few tables (for those of you who know what that means)

- We lowered the amount of writes to the disk by turning off a few things on the backend

- SLN will be performing a fsck on the disk here at some point. We think the disk might have corruption errors or is going bad

- The search engine is now running Sphinx, which is a much much faster search engine then MySQL's fulltext searching

 

We think these changes are gonna keep the site running more smoothly but at some point this site is going to need another dedi.

I don't know what the hell you guys were doing to the site yesterday, but it's helped me. The usual times it's down are sailing smoothly.
