Well, we kind of need to four main people to push the story somewhat, or "secondary" outside characters to create an entertaining subplot: my health is volatile so I'm not prepared to start a big storyline which I'd miss because of sickness.

As Monogwe was slumping around the arena he noticed several people up and around. He saw one person on a balcony above the main duel arenas. He saw many duelists around him.

 

He bandaged his demonnic arm so nobody would see it, especially a mortal who did not know the chaos that would soon befall the entire tournament.

 

Unfortunatly, he did it at the wrong time, to find several people staring at him while he was bandaging his arm. Some people already saw it, how demonic it was.

As the crowd had started to take they seats, a sudden chill filled the air. Mikhail turned towards the arena doors, he knew what this meant.

 

Through the doorway walked Dr. Kolobos. He stopped and took in the crowd, a small sinister smile creeping across his face. He rolled his shoulders almost making himself look taller and marched into the arena. His long cloak flowing behind him as he stormed across the floor. Passing Mikhail, he slightly glance over with an evil glare before setting his sights on Riley.

 

The young Duelist watched as Kolobos stepped up onto the platform oppersite his opponent. He removed his tophat and and handed it to the female arena staff standing at the bottom of the platform. Then reaching within his cloak he pulled out the Millennium Globe and placed it onto the Duel tabel in front of him.

"Well then boy." He mocked. "Are you ready for this? I believe your not, so lets at least make this interesting for the crowd shall we?"

 

Kolobos extended his right arm in front of him as his Duel Gauntlet activated. He took the Deck from a pouch on his waist, and looked at it. The new deck that the Legion of Shadows had given him, but why. Was he not here to win this tournment, taking the army of LORD BAEL away must put him at a disadvantage. This child deck in his hand was below him, the only reason the kid won with it was by luck.

 

Dr. Kolobos shaked his head from side to side as he inserted the Deck into his Duel Gauntlet. He looked over at Wolf and Monogwe and pointed to them.

"Soon we will see what this tournament is truely about. Both of you have great skills, and great flaws. I look foward to exposing them to this huge crowd. And Monogwe, you bring all the Help from LORD KABEL you can, because his power is nothing compared to LORD BAEL's."

 

He turns quickly back to Riley.

 

"Get your game on!" He says mockingly looking towards his new deck.

"Your gonna regret that", Riley said, drawing 5 cards.

 

"I'm not some amateur duelist old man, and I'm gonna proove it. So, I suppose I'll let you make the first move"

Monogwe lifted his eyebrow in confusion. Kabel? What was he talking about? Unless he was talking about hs client................

 

That could be a different story. He didn't know who he was, but he had a strange suspician he was some kind of demonic monster, or a lord of some sort.

 

He looked toward his bandaged hand, with a dark portal materializing in the palm of it again.

 

"It has already begun." Monogwe calmly whispered in the portal

"Good." A low growling voice could be heard, unlike the previous voice from the dourtyard. The voice didn't even sound human. It sounded.......Inhumanane. Demonic.

 

Pure Evil.

 

"Proceed with the plan." The voice continued.

"And the others? Have they already started?"

"Yes, and they are making excelent progress. None have failed, they are sweeping the planet, covering it with fear and darkness. But watch out for the Legion of Shadows. It could be dissastorous to us."

 

"I understand, master."

"Do not fail me as you have before. It could cost you yor life."

 

As the portal shrunk again, he looked back to all of those times he wasn't strong enough. But now that he knew what he was facing, the power he was wielding, and the opponents he would face here, he knew.

 

This tournament wasn't getting down to the finals. The preliminary matches have yet to begin.

 

The worst was yet to come.

as Monogwe stumbeld around and talk to him self wolf laughed just befor he bent down and huncht over. "tell me did that little touch on ur arm leave u that much in a daze" he said calmly lifting his head back up. his cold dead eyes turned milk white infront of everyone.

Monogwe turned around to see Wolf staring at him.

 

"I'm sorry, were you talking to me?"

 

Wolf's face turned to anger. He didn't think that was funny.

 

"Speeking of which, it looks like you are my opponent for the next round." Monogwe said.

 

"So, shall we begin?"

Wolf slowly activated his duel disk. "yes" he mutterd befor drawing 5 cards.

mike saw riley about and under his breath "heres my chance"."hold it right there i want in this too".

Laura pulled her knees up beside her in the bleachers, leaning on the railing as she watched the two darker looking figures begin to duel, just now activating their disks. Her eyes studdied the other pair already begining to duel, already egar to knock eachother's brains out... or well life points. Her black note book set on her thigh as she watched, leg boucing a little while chewing on a purple gel pen she was going to take notes with from the duels.

Kolobos just smirked at the young Duelist. He quickly drew six cards from his Deck and placed them into his hand. A look of disgust covered his face as he looked at the cards in his hand, the cards which belonged to someone else. But he had a job to do, and losing wasn't a option.

 

He took a card from his hand and placed it onto the Field in face up attack position.

"OK, I'll kick things off with this. I summon Elemental Hero Mr Chill to the Field."

 

 

 

Just saying the words almost made the Professor sick with anger. The crowd watching the match gave a mixed reaction. Some looked shocked at the card on the Field, some even began to laugh. Kolobos just lowered his head as the Elemental Hero appeared on the Field. The Hero turned to Kolobos and gave a victory salute and winked at him. Kolobos ignored him and set 3 cards in the Spell/Trap Zone.

"That ends my turn."

Kolobos gives a evil look, but not at his opponent, but at his own monster on the Field.

"I hope you die quickly freak!" He blurts out at the Hero who is now jugglling snowballs.

Riley stared at Kolobos. *This guy seems weird, like he's determined to win at any cost. That's not going to happen!"

 

"I'll start by summoning one monster face-down."

 

 

"Next, I'll play one card face-down."

 

 

"That will end my turn."

 

"I'm going to give you this chance to surrender, because otherwise you will lose."

 

Riley stared at Kolobos. He wasn't joking.

Kolobos locked eyes with Riley, as he drew a card from his Deck increasing his hand to 4.

"You think this a game? Listen child, things here aren't always what they seem. Now since you've played cards face-down I activate Elemental Hero Mr Chill's effect. Now I get to place one "ICE COUNTER" on any face-down card on the FIeld and that card cannot be flipped face-up. So I place it on that face-down card in your Spell/Trap Zone. Meaning that you cannot use it anymore."

On the Field, Mr Chill holds his hand in the air as a blue bolt of liqiud shots across the Field at Rileys card. As the bolt hits, the card is turned into ice.

"And now that card is taken care of, I now play this Spell Card from my hand. It's called Frozen Solid. The name says it all, now while this card is on the Field my "Ice COunters" are not destroyed during my End Phase anymore. So as you see my cards are quite safe from your attack."

 

 

 

The card appears on the Field behind Mr Chill as a sudden cold chill fills the air.

Riley stared back at Kolobos.

 

"Fine, continue your move. No matter what, I won't lose this duel, do you understand me?

Kolobos says nothing as he takes another card from his hand.

"Fine...And now I'll summon Elemental Hero Taurus in face-up attack position."

 

 

 

He places the card onto the Field, and suddenly from a explosion of fire, a figure flies up into the air. He spins round before hovering above the field in a battle pose.

"And with that I hand the field to you."

Mikhail could not help but laugh. "Elemental Heroes?" he sneered, audible enough for the Professor to hear him clearly. "You seem to have hidden depths, Professor. If this is all you've got left to protect you, after this other boy's done beating you I'll finish you once and for all." He chuckled softly to himself and resumed watching.

Riley stared at Dr. Kolobos. He had hatred in his eyes.

 

"You don't understand how important it is for me to win. I've spent my whole life improving my skills. People always said I could never make it to the top. They said, I wasn't smart enough or strong enough. But somehow, I made it through, and that's why I must defeat you! I have to prove those people wrong." He continued to look at Kolobos. "I remember that day, that one duel that changed a lot of things."

 

Riley, looking a little younger, was in a duel against a kid a little bigger than him. "You don't understand kid, you'll never be a good duelist, not a loser like you. Now, finish him! A giant dragon prepared to attack Riley, until a trap card was activated, and the dragon was destroyed, causing Riley to win the duel.

 

"You see, I've been bullied and looked down upon all my life, and after that duel, I proved those people wrong. That's why I am here! Kolobos, prepare to duel! Even if you win, your in for the fight of your life!"

 

Riley drew a card off the top of his duel disk!

 

"Now watch", Riley said, slamming a monster onto his duel disk! I summon Emanating Phoenix!

 

 

A bird appeared on the field, flying around then settling down.

 

"My monster has a special ability, so by giving up 1000 of my lifepoints, I can send a card from your hand to the graveyard at random!"

 

Kolobos sent the one card in his hand to the graveyard.

 

"Next, I activate this card!"

 

 

The area turns into a sky like area, surrounding Kolobos and Riley.

 

"That's not all. I flip up my face-down monster!"

 

Riley took the monster off his duel disk, and slammed it down into attack mode.

 

 

"Thanks to the effect of my Phoenix Of Ascension, I can draw 1 card. But because of my field spell, I don't have to pay any lifepoints!"

"so if u dont mind ill go first" wolf said slideing a card out of his duel disk. with out even looking at the card he places it face down in his spell/trap slot. "now lets see" he lifts up his arm and glances at his cards. "well ill be nice at first..." Wolf says pulling a card from his hand. "tell me do u believe in angles? because u should".

1 black angle falls from teh heavens on the the field in a explotion. its wings flapped moving the dubry out of the way. "now i can special summon 2 more from my deck" wolfs deck pops 2 cards out and magicly float to the slots in deffence mode. 2 more black angle falls from the heavens on the the field in a explotion. their wings flapped moving the dubry out of their way. "now befor i end things i play this" wolf said his blank face never changing.

"now we can tribute as many monsters as we want and what level they are chooses how many cards we draw. so i tribute my attack position angle for 1 card" wolf slowly draw 1 card. just as he did so his monster cried out in pain befor disappearing into notheringness.

Kolobos shifts a look over a Mikhail, but says nothing. He turns his attention back to Riley, and draws a card from his Deck.

"Thank you for sending that card to my Graveyard, for now it's effect activates. And now I can Special Summon my card back to the Field."

A shaft of light comes from the Graveyard as a monster appears on the Field. Mikhail has to stop himself from laughing out loud, but other people in the crowd can't help themselves.

 

 

 

The little undead Kuriboh bounces up and down on the Field, almost falling over with the weight of it's scythe. Kolobos shakes his head at the sight of his own monster on the Field. He ignores the crowd and flips over one of his face-down Spell cards.

"Second I activate the effects of Trouble with Kuribohs. Now this Spell Card allows me to send any number of cards from the top of my Deck to the Graveyard up to five, and then I get to add to my hand the same number of Kuriboh cards from my Deck."

 

 

 

When the card is played on the Field, Kolobos sends 4 cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard. Suddenly the air is filled with baby Kuribohs, they fly around Kolobos. He visible shakes with anger as he takes the four Kuriboh cards from his Deck and places them into his hand.

"OK. I'm ending this one before I'm sick. Elemental Hero Mr Chill, attack Emanating Phoenix with Icicle Spear."

The frozen Hero smiles across the Field, as he pulls his hand back behind his head as if about the throw an invisible javelin. Then the air around his hand starts to turn misty as the air particles begin to freeze. As he throws his hand forward a large spear made of ice materializes and flies across the Field towards Riley's monster card.
