Guest
Iron Man 2 sucked. The plot was terrible, since they established in the first five minutes that Tony was dying and acting self-destructive, then spent the next hour and a half just harping on that fact without going anywhere with it. Meanwhile, the bad guys were the same as the first movie: American arms manufacturer who wants to be the very best like no one ever was employs an appropriate ethnic villain and builds a copy of the Iron Man suit so that Tony can be defeated one-on-one and blah blah blah déjà vu. The Papa Stark's Secret Message plot was idiotic; first of all, anyone with a month of high school chemistry will tell you that elements do not work that way, and second of all, are we expected to believe that Papa Stark hid one single secret message to Tony in the one single film reel that Tony used regarding the one single idea of Papa Stark's that Tony used whose contents happened to be a ludicrous encoding of the one single technobabble thingymabob that Tony needed to live (that Papa Stark could not possibly have foreseen would be necessary) and that Tony happened to find at exactly the correct time, and that Papa Stark - unlike Tony, who had both vastly superior technology and an infinitely stronger motivation - would be the one to invent this thingymajig that he couldn't even create? The whole thing was entirely nonsensical. And then there were the fights. Okay, so the big battle at the end had three big opponents. The first was the 32 drones. Well, anyone who has ever seen a movie knows that when there are a full 32 of an opponent, those 32 are going to be made of butter, and naturally those 32 were dispatched with no problem. The second was Tony's Black Friend In The Copy Suit, which would have been interesting - two combatants with similar weapons and abilities, but our hero needs to disable the opponent without harming the man inside - except that Madame Hacker Person went and ended the battle with a computer the moment it began. The third was Ivan In His Suit. His weapon is a couple of electric plasma coil whip things. That's short-range. Our heroes' weapons are guns, and lots of them. That's long-range. Yet our heroes apparently decided that using any other method of attack than "walk into his plasma coils while attempting to punch him in the face" would be cheating or something. This was even worse in the first battle, where Ivan wasn't even wearing armor and Tony could have just shot him in the face for a guaranteed instant-win. Oh, and why does everyone stand around for five minutes staring at the blinking red lights of the defeated robots without realizing that they're going to explode? Tony and His Black Friend Guy take forever to figure it out, even with Ivan's "You Lose" hint, and Pepper never does. Have these idiots never seen a movie, ever? And how did Tony happen to know that Pepper was standing right next to one of the downed drones, anyhow? So, yeah, everything about it was bad. Sorrow.
I finally realized that the circle with the A on it that Tony used to prop the laser beam was Captain America's Shield. My dad said that his friend told him there was Thor's Hammer in the movie. At the End of the movie there was a folder with Avengers on it. All of this equal's Avengers? Manjoume Thunder
They should bring the Manderin into the Ironman movies. Everything in the Iron Man movies was based on technology. Mandarin uses magic. Using him will be stupid.

The guy picked it up out of the box, and I'm like "OMG Cpt. America's shield!". Then Tony takes it and stuffs it under the particles accelerator and you hear crunching metal. lol
2sick4u
Avengers is a separate movie to Iron Man 3; I'm rather sure. Otherwise, I thought this movie was awful. The beginning elements of the movie were rather good, opening up doorways for background on the Stark and OldWhipGuyWhoIdon'tKnow's family's. Not only this, but with Iron Man suits everywhere and the mitosis of himself to his own company, you kind of expected something a little more than a simple ending. Alas, you got a simple ending. Something along the lines of "Ohhey, this element is indeed synthesizeable since I just magnified a computer image of my company's logo to find out about it. Did I also mention that I'm Tony Stark? jabroniass." The ending was imprudent. So very imprudent. A computerized army of 'suits' to which have the durability of 1/1000th of an actual Iron Man suit, whilst the WhipGuy's fantastic emergence within a suit of his own, only to last 3 minutes before getting owned. regueradela
I had seen it..it was such a nice movie..The action sequences were better than Transformers, if you look carefully, This is hilarious movie with good action and special effects. Good sequel but still not as the first one. The acting was perfect in this movie particularly the one who was a villain.
Imperial Knight of Wisel
What are you saying it was so awesome and great there was Iron Man, War Machine, Whiplash, Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D and I also never expect to be H.A.M.M.E.R on the movie and they put Captain America shield in it too. edit: There is not going to be a third one There is going to be a third and it will have the Mandarin
aricjoy
I saw this movie and I just want to say that I also love this movie so much. I mean I liked it much better than the mixed reviews I read would be led to believe. This is not as sweet as the original, but the charisma and humour were there, as well as some good surprises. I just want to say that RDJ was great, as always. I think Iron Man is a superhero Spiderman funny, but the improvisation that makes it work. daryematera
It's good to see a more positive review of the film, I think it did well as a sequel and handled Tony Stark's revelation that he's Iron Man well. I pointed how some faults as well as some highlights by writing a parody script as a way of reviewing it.
