I usually don't like to spend lots of money buying intro decks just for certain cards, personally.[/quote']I know. If their are only a couple of cards that I want I don't get them either, but some have a nice collection of good cards it makes it a great buy. I'm sure you can get him alone for like $1, if not a bit less.. Does any one know what a Slither deck is? One of my teachers was talking about it and said it was really fast and used tokens. I'm also assuming it is old. Any ideas? Oh, SLIVER decks! OH GOD! Those things are NASTY DANGEROUS! Basically, they are creatures that share abilities with each other. The more Slivers you have out, the more abilities they share - and there are Slivers that give all sorts of abilities. What makes them worse is that the majority of them are relatively cheap to cast. You can think of them as an earlier version of Allies that have permanent effects. Here's an example of how it could go: Turn 1: You play a land (let's say a Forest) and summon a Virulent Sliver (That cost 1 green). It gives all Slivers poisionous 1 (if it does damage to a player, they get a poison counter. If they have 10, they lose)Turn 2: You play an Island and summon a Winged Sliver (That costs 1 colorless and 1 blue. It gives all Slivers flying. Now you have two Slivers that both have flying and poisonous 1.Turn 3: You play another Forest and summon a Muscle Sliver (That costs 1 colorless a 1 green). It gives all Slivers +1/+1. Now all your Slivers have +1/+1, flying, and poisonous 1. You DON'T wanna let Slivers gain numbers. If you wanna beat Slivers, hit them fast and hard. I just looked at the deck they released of them not that long ago. Wow, they look fun, but at the same time they aren't something I'd want to go up against. I have a Sliver Control Deck, if you want I'll tell you all the details on the deck. But personally I like my Tibor and Lumia Deck, I just put some cards from Rise of Eldrazi into it to make it better.

That will make getting those counters quicker so you can double the pleasure of Cruel Ultimatum. @Flame Dragon: Like I said, Sliver decks are NASTY! @Genesis: I remember that card. If I remember right, it was one of the rares in the Izzet starter deck. I combined it with a blue Kamigawa creature called Student of Elements (It's from Champions of Kamegawa and costs 1 colorless and 1 blue). It is a flip monster. If that monster gained flying, you flipped it - and it turned into a legendary enchantment that gave ALL your creatures flying. After that was accomplshed, it was a matter of casting cheap burn spells for the win. 8)

Flame Dragon
My main deck. Their are some changes I'm already thinking about making, but I'd like some more feed back. Right now my friend says that my deck needs a good hand to be good, which means it's a little slow, so right now I want some ideas on how to give it a bit more speed. @Genesis: Lighting Bolt is better then Incinerate since it costs one less and does the same thing. Saturn of Elemia
Lightning Bolt is freaking AWESOME. I have 4 copies of Incinerate AND Lightning Bolt in my burn deck. Why not run both, eh? Chandra Ablaze is also in there for good measure. @Genesis: That's quite an interesting deck. Would be fun to go up against.

Also to increase the speed of your deck throw in something like the Simic Signet or Trace of Abundance, but for Trace of Abundance you might want to pull out two of your basic Forests and replace them with that red/green dual land. Also facing against my Tibor and Lumia deck without a fast deck is not a good idea.

Simic Signet is on the old side and so might be a pain to find. Trace of Abundance however might work if I make my deck green/red.
-Genesis-
@Flame Dragon: the thing is that I don't need regeneration, if I play a blue spell I give flying to a creature then when I play a red spell the creatures with flying aren't affected
Flame Dragon
So I got Khalni Hydra and Garruk. I'm happy. Also I found another card that I like. Nulltread Gargantuan. 5/6 for a cost of 3 is great. Now I just need to get it.

I'm still new to this, so mind gving some info. And yea, the bounce effect can work in your favor for a handful of cards. Like reusing multikickers and other abilities that work when the creature enters the battlefield.
-Genesis-
Vanishing: creatures and stuff that come in with a certain number of vanishing counters and an ability that activates when the cards comes into and leaves play. During each upkeep you remove a vanishing counter from each card that has one, when a card with vanishing counters loses all its vanishing counters it is sent to the grave.
With Keldon Marauders and the Nulltread Gargantuan it works like this: (note that the mentioned turns are all yours)
Turn 3: Play Keldon Marauders comes into play put 2 vanishing counters on it and deal 1 damage to target player. Turn 4: Upkeep- remove one vanishing counter from Keldon Marauders. Main Phase- Play Nulltread Gargantuan, its ability forces you to return on creature from play to your hand, select Keldon Marauders. Because of Keldon Marauders ability when it leaves play deal 1 damage to target player. Then play Keldon Marauders again, because of its ability deal 1 damage to target player. Do you get it now? Saturn of Elemia
(sees Nulltread Gargantuan and writes it down for a blue/green beatdown deck) I have one Dimir specialty card in my blue/black mill deck - Glimpse the Unthinkable.
