Guard Gomazoa is fun - and it ticks people off' date=' too.

I usually don't like to spend lots of money buying intro decks just for certain cards, personally.

[/quote']

I know. If their are only a couple of cards that I want I don't get them either, but some have a nice collection of good cards it makes it a great buy.

I'm sure you can get him alone for like $1, if not a bit less..

Does any one know what a Slither deck is? One of my teachers was talking about it and said it was really fast and used tokens. I'm also assuming it is old. Any ideas?

Oh, SLIVER decks! OH GOD! Those things are NASTY DANGEROUS!

Basically, they are creatures that share abilities with each other. The more Slivers you have out, the more abilities they share - and there are Slivers that give all sorts of abilities. What makes them worse is that the majority of them are relatively cheap to cast. You can think of them as an earlier version of Allies that have permanent effects. Here's an example of how it could go:

Turn 1: You play a land (let's say a Forest) and summon a Virulent Sliver (That cost 1 green). It gives all Slivers poisionous 1 (if it does damage to a player, they get a poison counter. If they have 10, they lose)

Turn 2: You play an Island and summon a Winged Sliver (That costs 1 colorless and 1 blue. It gives all Slivers flying. Now you have two Slivers that both have flying and poisonous 1.

Turn 3: You play another Forest and summon a Muscle Sliver (That costs 1 colorless a 1 green). It gives all Slivers +1/+1. Now all your Slivers have +1/+1, flying, and poisonous 1.

You DON'T wanna let Slivers gain numbers. If you wanna beat Slivers, hit them fast and hard.

lol.

that's what i was thinking' date=' but then i decided to get a blue/green deck.

Control swarm is nasty. Also helps that the Simic support likes to play with +1/+1 counters.

I play every combination you can think of' date=' but lately the decks I've been building are Azorius.

[/quote']

I faced an Azorius deck once that locked me down HARD! My spells wound up costing 4 more colorless mana. Worship annoyed the living hell out of me - especially since he had a Wall of Light with a spell that made sure it took NO damage. GAH!

I mean Azorius as in the color combination' date=' not the Azorius set from Guildpact.

I knew what you meant. 8)

The guy also had some kind of OLD land that made every creature on the field have a cumulative upkeep. It annoyed the living hell out of me. I forgot what the name of the land is, but I know that it is EXPENSIVE!!!

You mean enchantment not land right? cause land don't have costs.

A;so what do you think of this combo: Detters Nell' date=' Angel of Despair, Thoughtpicker Witch.

[/quote']

No, it's a land. By cost, I meant money-wise. That thing is over 200 bucks! And I found the cardname - The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale. It makes all creatures have "At the beginning of your upkeep, destroy this creature unless you pay 1 colorless mana".

As for your combo, it's a nice cycle of destruction. A lot of Orzhov decks had that combo back when Ravnica debuted.

Actually that's where you're wrong' date=' many Orzhov decks used combos close to that, but the issue was that very few ever thought to use such a simple combo.

Here's another: Twilight Drover, Belfree Spirit

(spelling may be off)

[/quote']

Where I played, EVERYBODY used your combo. Lotta simplistic thinkers around here...

I'd rather use Doubling Season than Belfry Spirit

Here's a fun combo: Elvish Piper + Survival of the Fittest

What I want is All is Dust. That's a MUCH better field cleaner than Wrath of God or Chain Reaction. Use that with It That Betrays, sit back, and enjoy the fun.

I know a guy at the local card shop that has over 20 of EACH Eldrazi - and he duels people for them. He's a pretty nice guy, but he's REALLY hard to beat.

Nice.

Currently, I have only Hand of Emrakul and a Pathrazer of Ulamog, I think.

I am going to compete in the Norwegian Championship Qualifier later this summer.

I believe I will use a Grixis control deck featuring Pyromancer Ascension to double my Cruel Ultimatums and myriad of quick removal and card draw.

I just looked at the deck they released of them not that long ago. Wow, they look fun, but at the same time they aren't something I'd want to go up against.
