Don't worry Saturn you can't be nearly as annoyed as the guys I was with. It was right after a draft ended and two guys were talking about Gideon and Sarkon and how much they wanted them and their ideas for them. They had each bought at least ten packs and didn't get it. And here I am. I buy two packs and get one of each........... If looks could kill I wouldn't be here with you all tonight.

My uncle pulled a Gideon Jura out of the FIRST ROE pack he ever bought. 8)

Gideon is good, but Sarkhon is meh.

I got my Jace from a fat pack booster, I believe. I opened it, saw him, and literally jumped for joy (my mother gave me a "what the heck is wrong with you?" look). I can never sell him for $70, though, because I use him in my mill deck so he isn't mint anymore (not that I'd want to sell him anyway, lol).

Since my friend has an Ally deck, and I don't find it to be that good, I tried to see what I could do with them

Using more then 2 colors made it hard, but since I wasn't limited to what I had it wasn't that bad. And yea, this is just an "on paper" deck.

I want Fauna Shaman.

Cost: 1G

Stats: 2/2

Type: Creature - Elf Shaman

Effect:

G and Tap: Discard a creature to get any creature from your deck.

I love that card THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII....IIIISSS much

I find your lack of Hada Freeblades disturbing. :P I'd take out at least a Hondu Cleric and add a second Freeblade. I prefer W/G Allies, but not having playtested the deck, seems like you did a good job with the 4 colors - even if I do find B Allies in general pretty subpar to begin with.

I hadn't seen that Fauna Shaman spoiler yet - I think I'm in love.

Yea, I might do that. I had 4 in their at first but was thinking, "I don't need this much life". Outing another one doesn't seem like it would hurt that much any way. I might also take out the Animist.

Yea, W/G have the best Allies. Red has Warlord who is great IMO so he kind of makes up for the others not being that great.

Both Blue and Black both don't have much a an Ally line up. IMO Blue's is a bit better then Blacks so I went with them.

And thanks, as I've said I've only ever done 2 colors so getting a good land balance for 4 was a little tricky.

And yea, they add a few new cards every day, so you couldn't have seen Fauna yet since we've only just got her. Best part is she's only rare.

Before I give suggestions' date=' is this for any particular format, like Standard?

[/quote']

No since I mostly play for fun. I also hate how you can't use cards after some time passes.

Also, again while it might not have limits on it now, since I do want to make the deck IRL try to keep your suggestions resonable for me to get the cards.

We should do some kind of deck building thing. Like, choose a block, and then people build a deck with cards from that block, and we post 'em here. Could be a contest, or just for fun. Would make things interesting to see what everyone would think of. And you could use any cards, not just ones you have. Just an idea for a little fun.

That sounds fun.

However judging it seems a little hard.

Well, it doesn't have to be a contest. Though we could make it voting, and a rule could be that you can't vote for your own, to keep it from everyone voting for their own decks every time. But if this idea were to start, I'd want to do it right away. Kamigawa would be an block I would really enjoy.

I posted that same idea in a different board along time ago. Everyones answer on it was that I'm just lazy and want to use there deck ideas. Im all for this because it sounds like a lot of fun to me.

Also Kamigawa was one of my favorite sets because i loved the Splice mechanic. I wish they would use that again with other cards its such a fun little thing. Then there was the Hondens, that were pointless to use in a mono color deck unless you could produce rainbow mana. Good times, Good times. I only have four of the five hondens I'm just missing Honden of Nights Reach.

I liked the spirits, and the oni were fun cuz they were a fun way of playing goblins. I have Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, and it can be fun. I made a mono-red goblin deck, which involved oni, and had Patron of the Oni, cuz I like the patrons. And those enchantments that you put on lands that turned them into spirit creatures.

Anyways, it's good to see that I'm not the only one who likes this idea. Does anyone else think it's a good idea?

The enchantments are called Genju, which are okay only thing you'd have to watch out for is Eradicate because then all you can say is bye bye lands. Favorite card so far from Kamigawa is Oyobi, Who Splits the Heavens.

lol, I can see why. So, should we do it? BTW, I found out I meant Akki, not oni. But I think we could have fun with this. And not everyone has to participate, obviously. But it could inspire deck ideas too.

I was gonna say that you probably meant the Akki not oni since you said Patron of the Oni, there no such card hehe. But yes we should, no one has to participate if they dont want to. I think we should start with the Ravnica block and use the guild we each picked when we signed up for this club. Yay Dimir. (I dont exist shhh)

Doing older blocks is going to be a pain since I only just started and only know the newer cards well.

Dont worry about it i dont know anything about any set before the Mirrodin block and after the Ravnica block. Just look up the set and read away, will probably take a while but hey thats one way of doing it right?

Yeah, I don't know about any cards before 7th edition. But surprises are what make it fun. So then... should we do it? I just want to know if there's a definite yes or no on the subject.

We should wait till we have more people, but ATM it looks like it's going to be done.

Well, I know we shouldn't do it right now. We would have a time limit or something so everyone has enough time, but I just want to know if we are going to actually do it when more people get on. And by that I just mean initiate it.

I'm on board with it, sure :)

About the Deck, Flame Dragon, I don't know what cards you can actually get, but I think you have way too many creatures. Also, I prefer running 4-ofs when I can, and I spot a Gatekeeper of Malakir couple that could use another pair. ;) Also, I'd drop the Pulse Trackers for the obligatory Doom Blades/Terrors, since nowadays you can never have too much removal. :P I'd also drop the 3 Guul Draz Vamps for 3 more Bloodghast, but since those aren't cheap, perhaps 1 more Bloodghast and 2 more Malakir Bloodwitches. I'd add 4 Cabal Coffers, perhaps removing 2 Blood Seekers and 2 Pawns of Ulamog, and remove the last Pawn for a Phyrexian Arena. I'd drop the 2 Piranha Marsh for 2 more Sign in Blood but I can see why you put them there.

As a side note, if you really can get your hands on a Sorin, I am now officially envious. :P
