Hey anyone checking out the m11 cards? Pretty crazy stuff. I think Magic's going to try and slow down the format a bit by making high cost cards fun to play (low cost cards used to be the most fun' date=' IMO). I'm really likeing blue and green (normally a green player) but I think they're making white REALLY strong. Here's my analasys-

White: Strong

Blue: Fun

Red: Burn

Green: Fast

Black: Not enough info to decide, scattered?

Yea, I'm seeing that too. A lot of the better cards are more on the costy side. One of the cheaper cards I like are Roc Egg and Captivating Vampire.

The M11 cards look so awesome that I'm already setting aside money to get at least 1 fat pack once it releases :P

 

I do agree with Captivating Vampire. He lures you in and then adds you to the Vamp fold ;)

 

Necrotic Plague is something I'm excited for, too, mostly because it has official wording for an effect I've been playing with on some custom cards (the effect that returns it to the field and attaches it to another creature).

I'm loving Garruk's companion. I'm a mainly green/power player, I think in M11 I'm definately going to make a green/blue or even bant deck. Also, since they're bringing back Scry in M11 and it first originated in the mirrodin block, I wonder if it'll make a reappearance in Scars of Mirrodin. It makes sense IMO.

 

EDIT: Stack Primal Cocoons on a creature, then use Overwhelming Stampede to give all your creatures attack equal to your uber buffed creature, then attack with everything. PS: Overwhelming Stampede is on my list of top 5 green cards :D

I'm going to the sneak peak event with some friends. The fact that you can get Sun Titan is so cool since it's such a good cards.

 

Best thing about Captivating Vamp is that he is an intro pack pro.

Garruk's companion is really cool. A 3/2 with trample for 2 is so cool. I'm sure Scry will be in the next block.

 

Overwhelming Stampede is a better Overrun since it has the same converted mana cost (5), but cost one less green and can give a much bigger power boost.

All I know is the new Scry cards + Conundrum Sphinx = fun combo :P

That is an epic combo. I'm willing to bet that that will be part of the deck for the deck he's in.

Depending on what creature you put Primal Cocoon on it probably wont stay in play for that long to be that beneficial. If you put two copies on 1 creature and have a Simic Guildmage and maybe 2 Doubling Seasons then it will probably have multiple nukes

Mitotic Slime looks cool. Could make a good defense' date=' and it would also be good in a devour deck.

 

Edit: [b']Gaea's Revenge[/b] looks awesome!

Slime looks good and I might jut use it in my Green/Blue token swarm deck.

 

Saddly I know none of these combos O.o'.... I have been outta the game since like the begining of CHampions of Kamigawa

 

Kamigawa was a great block.

 

And Primeval Titan is just too great! Puts 2 lands down tapped when it comes into play and attacks!

All the Titans look great.

 

1 brings back cheap cards.

1 has a lighting that can be spread out.

1 makes 2 2/2 monsters.

1 taps permanents for a full turn.

1 gets you 2 lands.

 

I love how you get the first one for doing the sneak event.
