Kaisu
In the recent Roleplaying Sub-forum poll, even though the ADV-BSC split had nearly double the amount of votes than OCC/Planning, JUST because just about every mod of the RP section support the advanced clause, they decided to make it OCC and Planning. It might have been Pizza's idea or whatever, but my point is, if you go against mods, your screwed. And yes, this belongs here. We're pretty much powerless. Isn't YCM meant to be a casual site? It seems a bit like a fort to me. Warn me or whatever, but actually, I havn't broken any rules with this.
CrabHelmet
In this topic, Crab Helmet leaks secret information posted on Forum Twelve during the Inner Party's discussion of the RP status and the poll's results: Crab is right' date=' the results will certainly be skewed, but I think there's still some value in seeing what the community thinks... it doesn't need to make or break our decision.[/quote'] Why, yes, the "Crab is right" part was totally always there in the original quote and was definitely not added by me when I reposted it here. Why do you ask? Anyhow, I think that quote should make it perfectly clear. The new RP subforum was never going to be decided by a democratic vote. The poll was there to get a feel for the users' opinions, but it was never going to be the deciding factor. Also, you can totally tell that YCM is an oppressive regime where going against the mods means that you're screwed because everybody who voted for the Basic/Advanced option - including me - was promptly banned. That happened, right?

JadenxAtemYAOI
This is an Oligarchy, not a democracy. I'm staff for some sites and I hate it when people complain. Think about it this way. Normal members are what we will call the citizens. Normal mods are what we will call Representatives. super mods are Senators. Admins are co-vice presidents and YCMaker is the President. they posted the poll to get your thoughts and reviewed what you said carefully. Then the mods debated and decided and put their argument for the super mods to see. They debated, reviewed and put their opinion forward to the Admins or YCMaker. If YCMaker isn't here the admins like Crab Helmet debate and make the final decision. Well that is how it is for me at least. :/

In fact, their function is far different than Admins. Please DO NOT make that mistake again. And even then, Admins/Super Mods are normal members too (I owe Falling Pizza a trip to go Horseback Riding xD). We only have 2 admins, Falling Pizza and YCMaker. And you have it wrong, as Presidents etc are still bound by democratic opinion. Its more like a King, his Right hand Knight, League of Bishops and Barons. But yes, our goal is to see what is wrong with the site (even if Popular Opinion says otherwise) and do what we can to fix it. If it were a democracy, YCM would surely have porn posted by now in normal threads.

Infinitus
But, I'm going to go on a rant anyway. Believe it or not, the staff has your best interests in mind, and what is best for you. You can't always get what you want, no matter how much you petition, complain, or vote. However, they do take into consideration what you want or need, and they decide if it is truly what is best for you. If you want to RP, then I'm sure you'd love some RP sites I've seen, and they happen to look very organized, proffessional, and seriously fun. However, do you think they will let anyone RP there who only post two sentences or one liners? Our AC is an average forum's Basic, and if you are posting two, three sentences, guess what? You aren't RPing. Your just increasing post count. The people we are dealing with are RPers, and the mod team knows they like to RP. If they like to RP, then the would love the other sites out there, so by increasing the rules, they give RPers more options and broader horizons. I guarantee you, that you will not always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you just might find... ...YOU GET WHAT YOU NEED. =D

Guest JoshIcy
Meh, the mods agreed if it came to it. Azrael THEN Crabs, or both at the same time. Since they're both head Supers/Mods (Azrael at the back, Crabs at the front). I'm generally indifferent.
