Tempest Dahlia
Where is a Pokemon Contest taking place?
Proto
I'm gonna be more active after this post, got bit of a writers block, then avoiding it out of shame, but now its back to posting! Ralis is mainly gonna be a Battler, though he may enter a few contests for the heck of it, I wanted him to just do things that he finds in any place he can. Time for catching up! Saiba Aisu
Dahlia, the first Pokémon Contest will be held in Butternut Village. It won't be very large; rather, it will the sort of Verdanturf Town to Lilycove; a sort of small-time practice that will help prepare its participants for the real-deal Contest Hall in nearby Siennaville. Still, if your character is interested in Pokémon Contests, that's where he should be going. And alright, ProtoMachineKing, sounds good. It's great to have you back. Aesirson
Very sorry, but usually you post your GM posts when I logg off, so I read 'em on my phone. Last night I couldn't respond since YCM was lolCrashing.
Saiba Aisu
Oh, okay, Kuroda. Yeah, YCM's server can be pretty ridiculous at times. =/
Guest Tainted Black
It is at times. BTW I posted.
Tempest Dahlia
Post edited-So now we're IN Peach Town and going elsewhere... l just put Butternut Village for the time being, just in case the plans get changed or w/e.
Hydra of Ages
Alright people. For those of you not in Saiba's group, you'll notice I'm not quite railroading you in the same way that is- that saying, that I make significantly less GM posts. There's a reason for this- largely by and by, I'm more concerned with the technical aspects of the RP than the plotting portions, which are more generally Saiba's end of things. Therefor, I will probably not be making a guide character in the same way that Saiba has one to pull the plot forward. ...So yeah, my general point is probably don't wait up for me to further the plot. I'll be furthering the plot on a general basis (AKA, planned events beforehand), but not on a personal basis, unless you get into a random battle or something. ...Wait, don't take that as I'm never going to be issuing GM posts. I will, just only at broadly plot-relevant points, instead of in direct response to something the players do (unless it happens to require that- as a random example, if Team Rocket ambushed someone). Shradow
Are the contests on a specific date, like in the anime? Because I want to go to Ivy Town and get a Turtwig in Ivy Woods, then go to Butternut for the contest. Oh, and I know what you meant about the bridge, I was just saying I had never really left the bridge yet after being saved, but I know I have to go to Peach Town, which I'm going to do. Saiba Aisu
Well, yes, the contests will run on a pre-planned schedule. However, the first one in Butternut Village will conveniently take place only after you reached the area; in other words, it will be tailored for the player characters. Proto
I'm on the road to Ivy Town too, may catch a Grass Pokemon there, depends on whats for picking really.
Aesirson
I would actually like to catch a Scaraball if that's possible, I think it's cute :
Saiba Aisu
ProtoMachineKing: Hm. Well it would be ideal if you could have your character team up with someone else, seeing as the Ivy Woods are a large and often difficult to navigate place if you're on your own. I know that Otaku wanted someone to accompany Nyoko, if you're interested. Also, I will have to do my best to compile a list of the Pokemon available in the Ivy Woods - naturally, I can't include every Grass- or Bug-Type ever made. Kuroda: Yeah, that sounds fine, I think. Shradow & Dahlia: Are you guys really ready for your trip? Navigating the Ivy Woods can take up to as much as four days, so you'll need food as well as some sort of sleeping bag. Then again, it's possible that both being travelers, Robert and Daisuke are always prepared and already have these things with them.
Zerato_AST
Alright, so whose characters are going through Ivy Woods? Because I'd rather Nathaniel travel with them than try and make him go by himself.
Tempest Dahlia
Yes i'm ready already
Shradow
Well, Daisuke still has all of his things he took from his house, so he's good. And he doesn't like sleeping bags. Too confined. He'll just rolls down his sleeves and rest against a tree or something. And you said getting a Turtwig would be easy, right? Oh, and will there be more choices of movement later then walking, biking, and Fly? It seems likely you could ride on large Pokémon or something.
Saiba Aisu
Yeah, you can ride Pokemon, provided that they are large enough to carry you. And alright, I will make a GM Post for you guys in a little bit; just let me give the others a chance to reply. The future post will be concerned with your first wild battle scenario. Hydra of Ages
Eri's going to attempt to go through the Ivy Woods. Being a rather sheltered noblewoman entirely unprepared for a long trek of any sort (and lacking a map with any sort of indication of the actual distance to Ivy Town), it would be appreciated if someone finds her after she's wandered around the woods lost long enough. Proto
@Saiba: Well I DID meet up with her character earlier, might be able to accompany her.... but I was kinda planning on messing with the Starting Team a bit. Also Badgex was caught in the Ochre Woods, so Ralis does know about the Excavade Guardian. @Blazing: I may consider it, but its likely that I'm not gonna make a ideal traveling partner, Heh...... Shradow
Robert and Daisuke could find Eri, if Dahlia agrees.
Zerato_AST
I've kind of jumped the gun here by making Nathaniel run into Robert and Daisuke in the Ivy Woods. I'm just letting Shradow and Dahlia know that if that's any sort of problem, I won't mind deleting my post. And if that turns out to be the case, perhaps Nathaniel could cross paths with Eri again?
Saiba Aisu
Well, I think that for now, the groups are arrayed like this: Group #1: Josh, Jason, Lisa, and Bahnes (four characters is more than enough.) Group #2: Nathaniel, Robert, and Daisuke (might be able to include another character.) Group #3: Eri (needs at least one-two other character(s).) Now, for Group #3, it might be justifiable to include characters like Nyoko and Ralis so that we have teams that are more-or-less equal. I was hoping that Group #1 would be the one to encounter Cerce in the Ivy Woods; I know that some of you have RPed with me before, so is there any preference as to which group my character will team up with? Otaku-sama
Well, my character won't go into the forest by herself, so meeting up with Eri would have to be as a result of being separated with the group that brought her into the forest. Bringerofcake
Saiba, I know this is a tad (read: extremely) distant from where we are now, but will my Magnemite be able to evolve into Magnezone, or will it stop at Magneton?
Saiba Aisu
It will definitely be able to evolve into Magnezone; don't worry about it. I'll figure something out.
