In the year 2037, the spirits of life have created a new planet to call their own. The spirits are the spirits of Nobility, Memory, Faith, Courage, Wisdom, and Power. Meanwhile on earth, a new revolutionary combat system was introduced: A bracelet with the power to select 1 of 3 combat styles: Melee, Archery, and Magic. These bracelets also have the power to augment each style of combat with different programmings. There is, however, a war that is breaking out on the surface of the world that is capable of sheer destruction of the world, for there is an evil force known as "Underworld's Requiem" with these bracelets. Each member is able to call forth a kind of no hold's barred battle where no one can escape, and the defeated is confined to an eternity in the underworld.

 

Fearing such destruction, many civilians escaped to the newly formed area revolving around the earth. 5 of these civilians are newborns with a combat bracelet of their own given to them by their parents. 1 of these newborns will carry the destiny of one day saving the spirits from Underworld's Requiem, who have followed the civilians to the star.

"Vant!!! Wake up! you will be late for class!". Surkilo is a 32 year old widow who lost her husband, Siles, in the shadow wars. Her son, Vant, age 15, carries a combat bracelet. Vant, in a rush, runs to the backyard to take a shortcut to school in the Nobility Province. Unknowingly, he hits himself at the glass door. Surkilo, hearing the large thump, walks toward Vant's out-cold body. "Sometimes Vant, you are a rather large fool who always runs into something." Vant wakes up to these words and sees his mother on the verge of tears. "Mom, you still are thinking about dad aren't you? Look, just because I hurt myself oftenly doesn't mean I will die like da-" "Vant!" She begins to tear up even more.

 

"I don't want to think of your father's death anymore. It's just........too painful to imagine. He died in the hands of a higher-ranked member of the Underworld. His head was shot right before my eyes. He was shot, not knowing he was in the middle of the battlefield right before my eyes."

Vant, feeling empathy for his mother leaves the house for school. "See you later mom. I won't bring up the subject of dad anymore." Vant's school is in the town of Intil, 1 mile away from his home. On the way, Vant stopped by a house to walk with Keika, a friend of his around his age who always loves to spend time in a clearing of the forest of truth.

 

"Hey Mrs. Scholling, is Keika at the clearing today?" Mrs. Scholling appears tactiturn as He asked for Keika. "She is, but she hasn't come back over here in a while. I hope she is ok". "I will look for her Mrs. Scholling. Don't worry, I am sure she is ok."

 

Vant, staying true to his word, searched the forest for Keika. She was nowhere to be found. "Keika! Where are you???? Where the Hell are you? This isn't funny!" Vant rushes his search for Keika. A shadow appears in the trees. It is rushing opposite of Vant's direction and then turns on him. A brutal strike knocks vant toward a tree.

 

"Hya Hya hya! You are Vant Brachs if I know correctly from the records". The shadow takes form and reveals a demonic figure with blood-stained clothing. "I want your bracelet. So hand it over and maybe, I will release your friend". Keika hangs on a tree, barely concious. Vant gasps at the horrifying scene he sees. Keika was being hung! Her body is gradually becoming purple from the lack of oxygen flowing through her body. She begins to cough up blood. Weakly, she says "V-V-Vant, p-p-please save me". Vant, seeing the horrors of dying for the first time in his life, becomes filled with rage. "Why did you do this to her!?! What has she done to you damned creature?!?!" The demonic figure speaks. "Ahhh yyyyyeeeeesssss. Aaanngggerrr. If you have not realized it yet, I am a part of Underworld's Requiem. I have come to take your bracelet and kill you. You see, the bracelet you possess isn't any ordinary bracelet, but that can swap through various attack styles. You are too young to understand it's power." Vant looks at his bracelet in puzzlement. "It looks like an ordinary bracelet. I don't feel anything. Why do you think that this is a combat bracelet?" The demonic figure, losing his patience, conjures up a ring of black fire. "Silence! You don't need to know anything about the bracelet! I had enough of your stalling. Enough of this, hand over the bracelet or you will die in this battle you can never win!"

 

Vant ponders the situation carefully. He then catches sight of his friend who is slowly dying. She is slowly closing her eyes from the lack of oxygen. With a burst of nobility, Vant retreats his bracelet away from the figure. "No! Whatever this combat bracelet is, I won't let the likes of you have it!" Vant's bracelet suddenly is glowing with power. 3 Screens appear before him. They show the three attack styles. Vant was in awe of what he sees before him. Out of excitement, he selects melee. He slowly begins to be wrapped in armor. In his hand, a sword appears. "This is amazing! I cannot believe that this is happening! Now to make sure that you will return back to where you came from! Vant jumps and cuts the rope that was depriving Keika of oxygen. The demon being startled by what has happened, challenges Vant. "I will kill you and take your bracelet." "Oh yea? I will make sure you crawl back down to that hell you call home!" "Lets go! Gladius!"

 

With that, a burst of energy pulsed to a radius of 1 mile. At the School, principal reodolt witnessed a power outage "Oh no, it's happening again. When will this ever stop?"

 

"What is your name demon?" "Ahh, if you must know my name, it is rhaark. I will be the last name your mortal ears will ever hear." With that, Rhaark rushed in with his blade and plunged it deep within the stomach of Vant and sliced. As Vant screamed, Rhaark swung the blade to the left, leaving Vant in critical condition. Vant felt as though his life was flashing before his eyes. His vision became black and white, and he couldn't hear anything. He saw the day he was born, to the day the Spirit of Nobility touched him. Then he saw a horrifying vision of Keika getting beheaded by Rhaark. He saw the blood spill, and started to hear the screams. He snapped back into reality. Just when Rhaark is about to kill Vant, Vant jumped out of the way and stabbed Rhaark. Rhaark became stunned after the impalement and couldn't do anything. With all the might Vant had in his arm, he decapitated Rhaark, ensuring him the victory. As the flames of the ring fade away, an echo of Rhaark's voice echoed as it sounded like "You may have defeated me, but you will not be able to defeat the rest of the Underworld. This I swear upon. As the beheaded Rhaark disinigrated into the ground, Vant reverted back, heavily injured. Despite his pain, he rushed to Keika, who was still faint. Keika woke up to the site of Vant's face as he held her body in his hands. Keika Grinned before Vant fainted next to her. Shocked, Keika took Vant all the way back to Vant's house. "Surkilo! Surkilo! Vant is hurt!!!" Vant's mom entered a moment of shock when she saw how critical Vant's condition was. She then remembered the painful day she saw her husband die. "Silas!!!!!..." She was in shock for a moment, but rushed quickly to treat Vant's injury. When Vant is resting in his room with his wound treated, his mother asked a question to Keiko as she begins to sob. "Why did this happen to Vant? Why? I almost lost the most important object in my life a second time." "It is because he risked his life to save mine. He is the kind of person who would gladly offer his life to save another." Surkilo quieted down in sobbing.
