cerberus21
Never read the book, so let's stick to the movie. This is the only movie that has ever made me cry (after the age of five, at least). It's probably too old for most of the people on this forum, but it's a classic, so I'm betting on some of you having seen it. [spoiler= I can't really say why this movie is sad without giving away the ending...]The story line isn't that sad by itself. Big deal, you had to shoot your brother's dog. But it's the single tear that falls down the older brother's face, the older brother who had finally grown to love the dog, right before he shoots it, that gets me every time. Discuss the saddest movie ever. And yes, this was sadder than Titanic's "I'll never let go" scene. Titanic never really hooked me emotionally like this one. Parion555
Well i know 1 thing for sure.Titanic never hooked me emotionally as much as other movies. As for this movie i have seen some of the Parts probably but by now i have surely forgotten them or just blocked them out of my head. But i know one movie that always makes me and will make me cry.The movie i am talking about is Hachiko,a Dog's Story.Staring Richard Geere it really tears up your heart. This movie as well isn't sad at first but the ending makes you really really cry. the story is about a Dog who finds his way to the Hands of a Music Professor(Richard Geere) who takes him home to his Family. After years of keeping him Hachiko grows really big and starts waiting the Professor at the Train Station where he always comes. But one day he has a Heart Attack and doesn't come back. The Daughter of the Professor and her Husband try to take Hachiko to a new home, but Hachiko alway runs back to the Train Station where he waits. One day they finally let him go to stay at the Train Station and the saddest part is the ending.10 Years go by after the Professor's Death and the Dog still awaits. He then finally closes his eyes and remembers the Good times he had with the Professor and that is how he dies. The story really makes you cry and i am not just talking about myself many people were inspired by this Movie. EliminateHRN
I remember me and my sister always watched it when we were little and trying to go to bed. That was several years ago. I haven't watched this movie in forever. My VCR and DVD player is just collecting dust. I might hunt for this movie and watch it. I forgot most about it. I wonder if my sister would cry if she watched this movie after all these years....
