Umbra
Redemption City hospitalApril 26th Susannah looked at Abigail. Her parents had been here - along with Susannah's parents, as Abbi's mother had called Susannah's mother when she found out that Susannah was at the hospital as well -but they had left now. After that, they had talked. Susannah had told Abbi of everything that had happened since she had been sent to the hospital. Susannah was just about to begin talking about the recent week when Abbi nodded, and fell asleep. Susannah sighed. Abbi was still weak, but she was on her way back. She seemed to have dreamed a lot during her coma; visiting places she had never seen anything like, and then suddenly reliving her last memories from the real world. The psychiatrists had never seen anything like it, but Susannah knew what had happened. Sieg Grandeval had forced her repeatedly to fight for him, reliving her moment of entering coma over and over again. Now, Abigail was asleep, and Susannah felt drowsy. It had been a long day, and a long night. She couldn't possibly understand how her duel with Sieg could have taken the entire afternoon: she had came to Alex' house early afternoon yesterday, and had came here around midnight, the same day. To her, the duel had lasted only a few minutes. She leaned back to the hard, but yet comfortable chair and fell asleep. Not a sound could be heard in the room, except for the calm breath of the two girls. On the other hand, the room wasn't empty. Two spirits, invisible to any human, hovered a few feet above the two girls. - Do you think she'll make it, Roselia? Cain looked at the young girl, Abigail, sleeping in the hospital bed. Roselia nodded at him. - She's just in recovery, Cain. She will be perfectly fine in a few hours. - I hope so. Otherwise, our mission has not been a success. Roselia nodded at him. - We are not done yet, Cain. The last and most dangerous step is yet to be done. Claiming the Amulet to summon the Winged Dragon again. Cain grunted. - We'll have to venture to the Wickspire, Roselia. The medallion is in the possession of the Dreadroot's servant, Nathaniel Roderick, whose body once was the body of Eric Morae, brother of Jonah Morae, and my oldest brother Aigora. Roselia smiled. - We'll find them and restore them to their body, Cain. And when we do, the Winged Dragon will live again. Cain smiled back at Roselia, then grabbed her hand. In an instant, the two spirits disappeared. WickspireSpirit Chamber 1418 Only a few seconds after Aigora's disappearance, the door to the Spirit Chamber - a door which never was at the same place twice, Eric had noticed - opened up. Eric sighed. It was one thing to be told of the Dreadroot and it's powers. It was another to see the fruit of them. It also felt quite strange to look at your own body from another one's eyes. 'twas not the Dreadroot, but Nathaniel that stepped through the door. Nathaniel gazed directly upon Eric. - I know you can hear me, Eric. Tell me where Jonah is, or we will shatter your soul into dust. Eric levitated down to the floor, and landed two feet away from Nathaniel. - Don't you already know, Nathaniel? I thought you had an eye on him. Nathaniel frowned, but kept Eric's gaze. The spirit had a certain way of annoying him that got to him every time. It reminded him of what the Dreadroot had told him about how Obelisk had been like the few times they had met. - What do you mean, Eric? We don't have anyone tracking your brother. All our agents are on different missions. Eric smiled. - Then, I guess you don't know much about your own people. I happen to know that you are spying on my brother through the eyes of an old man's spirit. - It was Nathaniel's turn to smile. - Don't be silly, Eric. If we had a spirit like such, I would have known of it. There's only four of us that organize things around here; me, the Avatar, the Eraser, and... Nathaniel's smile faded away. - Takake... Ah, I knew there was something! He ran out of the chamber, and down the stairs, taking three steps by each leap. The door slammed shut behind him, manned by an invisible power. Eric only got a hint of a long, twisting spiral staircase that ran through the entire Spire before the stone door slammed in front of him. Wickspire, Central Staircase Nathaniel ran down the staircase. Inside his mind, Gorefiend spoke to him. - What's happening, Nathaniel? Nathaniel grunted. - Takake's been doing something behind our backs, that's what's happening! And I can't believe I saw it! He stopped outside a round door, and opened it. The room inside was shaped like a Spirit Chamber, but with a circular, shallow pond in the floor in the middle. The water was entirely still, but was glowing in the somewhat dark chamber. Nathaniel walked up to the pond, and looked down into it. He began to chant a song of travel that the Dreadroot himself had taught him. - Ancient Spirit of Delaime, give me what I wish to claim. While my road is clear, I sense the fear, of the one that bears the name... He took a deep breath... - Takake Hironima! As the last words echoed out into the chamber, Nathaniel had already plunged through the surface of the pond. Crystalfound CorporationApril 26th Takake felt generally glad. He hadn't heard anything from the Dreadroot or Rataval in almost three days, where the crafting of Nathaniel had almost cost him his life. Hadn't he manage to uncover the Amulet of Ra when he had, Takake might even be dead by now. Suddenly, Takake heard a splash of water. He turned around, and froze mid-turn. - Missed me, Takake? Nathaniel stared at him with the true anger Takake had only seen in Rataval's eyes when he spoke of the Tormentor and his wretched descendants. Suddenly, Takake saw that Nathaniel's left arm was glowing in purple and blue, and took a few steps back. Nathaniel smiled, and took a few steps closer. Then, with the dexterity of an eagle, Nathaniel leaped across Takake's office and grabbed his forehead. Takake felt waves of force run through his body, making it shiver and twitch. Nathaniel spoke, and his voice sounded like the Devil and God in one. - You will tell me everything, Takake. Everything that happened since you found the Amulet. And Takake spoke. - It all began last fall, about a month after the fool Jack had vanished... Then, Takake passed out, and a stream of memories hit Nathaniel like a storm. November 18th, 2007Crystalfound Corporation Damon Leander's voice echoed throughout the Main Hall. The hall was crowded, almost sixty people inside. All that remained of the Blessed now that the three most powerful of them had gone, and no one could know where. - I'm sad that I had to keep you all here, even after the Beast had been banished, but you have to understand it was for safekeeping. However, I bring good news. We have found ourselves an ally, in a world of enemies. Another voice could be heard through the speakers. - Thank you, Damon. My name is Razool, the Sage of the Earth. And as I was put in this prequel part during chapter thirteen, I have to speak to you. Apart from all of you here, there are other forces of power in the world. One of them, and the one I represent, is known as the Tormentor. In the ancient days, the Tormentor created the world, along with his nemesis, the Dreadroot. However, the Dreadroot turned against the Tormentor and led an army of fiends to the Tormentor's palace, where the ancient god was slayed by the Dreadroot's blade, the Viseari. But the descendants of the Tormentor have survived, and now lives among us. The blood of the old god runs through them, and now, I, on behalf of the Tormentor's descendants, ask for your help. The hall erupted with questions from all of the people inside it, but Takake was silent. Instead, he let his voice travel through the thick walls, until he found Razool. Then, he released his voice. - How can we trust you, Razool? How can we know you tell the truth? Suddenly, Takake heard Razool's voice inside his mind. - You just have to, Takake. Come to room 3201. I and Leander will meet you there. Takake sent a positive thought to Razool, and walked out of the Main Hall. The double doors slammed shut behind him. Suddenly, the view changed to a small room, where Takake, Razool and a tall man with brown hair that Nathaniel didn't recognize, but assumed was Damon Leander, sat around a table. Takake spoke. - Now I see, Razool. So, you're saying that this Dreadroot is the final answer to my call? Razool and Damon stared at Takake, who rose from his seat. He continued. - A month before I got here, a man which called himself Rataval came to my house in central Tokyo. He said that he needed me to find him something, an amulet which he required. He would pay me enough to let me live like Hugh Hefner for the rest of my life, so I agreed to do it. It took me many days to get it, but I got it. But when I was going to give it to Rataval, he couldn't be found anywhere. So I kept the medallion. Tried to sell it sometimes, but never got enough. But now, when you have came here, I finally understand the rest of the puzzle. He picked up something from his left pocket, and revealed a large, golden amulet which hung on a thin golden chain. Razool stared at it, but Takake continued to speak. - This Amulet belongs to the Tormentor, doesn't it? And Rataval was an agent of the Dreadroot, looking for it? Ever since I first held the medallion, I felt power. Power beyond my own. I've also started to hear a voice, giving me instructions on how to use the Medallion's power. So now, I know what's going on. That voice... It was the Dreadroot. I know it now. It fits in everywhere. And now, I must use the power I have been given. He pointed at Razool, and the medallion was glowing slightly. - You shall never speak of this event again, Sage of the Earth. You shall not remember anything that has happened this day. You will never come here again. He turned his gaze to Damon. - And you, Damon, await a much worse fate. He picked up a card from his right pocket, still pointing with his left hand. The card was blank, but ready to be filled in. As Takake spoke, the medallion's light grew and grew, until the entire room was enlightened. - Your soul shall be sealed into this card for as long as it remains whole. You must follow the holder of this card for as long as it is remains whole. Only the bearer of the Amulet can undo this command. The medallion glimmered, and Takake's voice erupted into a howl. - This is my will! As his last words faded away, Razool's eyes went blank, and Damon collapsed onto the table. Takake looked at the card. - And this card shall be with the Tormentor's heirs, therefore it must have a proper name. It shall be called... Eye of the Tormentor! At this point, the storm of memories collapsed, and Nathaniel withdrew himself from Takake's mind, releasing the storm inside it. He looked at the man which lay passed out on the desk in front of him. He picked up the Amulet of Ra from inside his robe, and put it around his neck. Instantly, he felt a burning pain, but didn't remove the Amulet. - I wish to see through the eyes of the Spirit, Damon Leander, which is bound to the will of this Amulet's bearer. Nathaniel felt the world run through his head, and soon he came to... Red Sky City, April 26thRegal residence Nathaniel couldn't believe his eyes. He saw Jonah, standing in an apartment. But what was more surprising to Nathaniel was the man he was talking to. It was the Eraser, in his human form. He became furious. Why hadn't the Eraser informed him of this? But then, he saw what the Eraser had done, and suddenly became glad. Jonah was one of them now. Nathaniel smiled, and released himself from the bond of the ghost. Crystalfound CorporationApril 26th Nathaniel opened his eyes. Takake was still passed out on the desk, and it looked like he wouldn't awaken for a few hours. Nathaniel grabbed the Amulet again. - Damon Leander, you are no longer necessary for me. I command you to flee the card of Eye of the Tormentor, and take path to the Wickspire. You shall go to Spirit Chambers, where you shall be sealed until the day the Spire falls. Nathaniel felt a wave of shock pass through his hands, then the Amulet flashed briefly. He smiled, and took up another pendant from his neck. The pendant had a large amethyst augmented into it, with a bright core inside. - Return! The amethyst flashed, and the room was empty. Red Sky City, April 26thRegal residence Jonah heard a knock on the door. He turned to Seerra. - Should I open the door, Seerra? Seerra nodded, and Jonah walked over to the door. He grabbed the handle, and pulled the door towards him. On the other side, he saw Richard. - Oh, hello. Is Seerra still here? Jonah nodded. - Indeed he is, Richard. What news do you bring? Richard smiled. - I bring urgent news, milord Seerra, from the city of Doolin. It is said that the Dragon of Osiris has been seen, and is heading towards our continent. Seerra gasped, and took a few steps forward. - This is indeed great news, Richard. We must take our leave to the City of Redemption, where we can capture this Dragon for the Dreadroot. Richard and Jonah looked at each other, and then nodded. - When are we leaving, master? Seerra smiled. - Soon, very soon. But first, one thing remains to do. We must give the two of you new identities, those that are fit for Agents of the Dreadroot. Seerra closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, a large orb had materialized behind him. The orb had twisted and turned in the air, bubbles running across the surface. The orb began to change shape, and soon it looked like a human with a long, black jacket and jeans. He had long, black hair and dark eyes. Jonah gasped, for there was a memory somewhere deep inside him that feared this person. It was Rataval. Rataval turned to Seerra. - What do you need me for, Seerra? Seerra smiled. - I need you to give these two new lives. I can't let them walk around with glimpses of their old memories, can I? Rataval looked at the boys, then turned back to Seerra. - I see you've captured Jonah Morae as well. I suppose you can't be worthless at this all the time. But let's start, shall we? Seerra hissed at Rataval, but nodded. Both of them walked over to the two boys, and the Crescent Edge materialized in Rataval's hand. He began to speak, while he pointed the dagger at Richard. Richard's eyes blanked out suddenly. - Your name is Gabriel Lorian. Until this very day, you have lived and worked at the Wickspire, the Dreadroot's fortress in the Underworld. The Dreadroot is your leader, but you work for me. My name is Rataval, and this is Seerra. Now, we have given you an important mission; to find the Dragon of Osiris and capture it for us. He then turned to Jonah. - And your name, my boy, is Adam Lorian. The boy next to you is your younger brother, Gabriel. Until this very day, you have lived and... Jonah nodded. - I heard what you said to Gabby, master Rataval. You don't need to explain it to me again. Richard grunted. - Don't call me that! You know I hate it, Adam! Rataval smiled. Apparently, it had worked faster than usual. Normally, it would take up to six hours before they would function properly. With Nathaniel, it had worked in four hours. And now, it had worked in just seconds! He smiled at Seerra, who smiled back. Then, he turned back to the boys, who were already in a small quarrel. - Enough, you two! You have a mission, remember? We need to take you to Redemption City, and we can't afford to wait. Gabriel grunted. - How are we s'posed to get there, master Rataval? It's too long to walk, and there isn't any airports there. We could take a cab, but that would- Rataval hushed him. As he began to speak, his body was deforming back into the orb. - You'll see, my boy. You'll see. WickspireSpirit Chamber 1418 Eric sighed, and sat down on the floor. Nathaniel had left a while ago, and nothing else had happened. He couldn't determine how long it had been since Nathaniel left, or how long he had been here, for that matter. Suddenly, he saw a Spirit coming through the wall, shortly followed by another. He quickly rose from the floor, and flied across the room towards them. One of the spirits looked at him, with eyes wide open. - Aigora? Is that you? Eric sighed, then looked at the spirit. - I thought it was you, to be honest. The spirit looked confounded, then snapped his fingers. A dry sound, like two reeds that snap in the wind, could be heard. - You must be Eric Morae, the young boy that held my brother's spirit in this world. Eric shrugged. - If you're talking about Aigora, then I guess you're right. He hasn't mentioned either of you, I'm afraid. The spirit smiled. - Obviously he hasn't. Aigora doesn't have time for me. He didn't have it when he was alive, so why would he when he was dead? He stretched out his hand. - I'm Cain, youngest son of Obelisk, the Tormentor. And this - as Cain said this, the other spirit drifted forward - is my wife, Roselia. Eric shook Cain's hand, then looked at Roselia. She smiled at him, and he smiled back. - A pleasure to meet you, Eric. They shook hands as well, and Cain began to speak. - We hoped to meet you here, Eric. We understand that your body is currently in possession of an entity called Nathaniel Roderick, who is somewhere inside here. Eric got a stern look in his face, and nodded. - That's right. But he isn't around anywhere here. He left for Crystalfound Corporation a while ago. He was to speak with a man named Takake Hironima, who apparently hadn't told him everything he needed to know. Suddenly, two other spirits drifted through the wall of the Chamber; one coming from behind Cain and Roselia with an extremely high speed, and one drifting gently through the wall beside them. The one to their side was Aigora. The one that was now flying in between Cain and Roselia and tackling Eric to the floor was an old man which Eric had never seen before. The old man climbed off Eric, and stood up. Then, he looked around. - Good day to you all. I'm Damon Leander. Eric stood up behind him, with his eyes wide open. - Damon Leander? The owner of the Crystalfound Corporation? The man that the Razool slayed? Leander looked at him. - Killed? Razool? No, I'm not dead. And it was that dreadful Takake that sealed away my soul with a strange, golden pendant. It had one of these strange Egyptian eye-symbols on the front, so I guess it was- Cain, Aigora and Roselia gasped. - The Amulet of Ra! Leander shrugged. - Maybe. I'm no Egyptology professor, but I guess you're right about that. Suddenly, the door slammed open, and Nathaniel rushed inside. Then, he froze halfway through the door when he saw the five spirits inside the chamber. Cain and Roselia drifted towards him, with Eric and Aigora just behind them. Damon, still unaware that he could fly, walked across the floor towards Nathaniel. He didn't really know why, but he supposed it was for the best. Around Nathaniel's neck, he saw the strange pendant that one of the spirits had called “the Amulet of Ra” and decided to stare at Nathaniel angrily for a while. Cain, not noticing what Damon was doing, looked at Nathaniel. - You have something that isn't yours, Nathaniel Roderick. Nathaniel smiled. - You are but a spirit, Cain, son of Obelisk. Even Aigora, the true Tormentor now that his father has fallen, can not affect this world. Aigora shook his head. - I'm not the one to look for, Nathaniel. I'm not the next Tormentor. It's my descendant, Kyaran. Nathaniel smiled at him. - It all depends on how you see it, Aigora. Due to the complexity that has changed the bloodline/soul relationship, both you and Jonah are the Heir to the Palace' Throne. Not that it matters, though. You're here now, and Jonah is under our control. Eric gasped of fear. - What?! He rushed to Nathaniel, and tried to grabbed his arm. His hand passed right through Nathaniel's arm, and Nathaniel smiled. - Earlier today, the Eraser and the Avatar replaced your brother's memories with those of one that serves us, much like I myself was created. There's nothing left of him now, Eric. He pushed Eric in the chest, and Eric fell to the floor. Nathaniel stepped through his body, and walked over to Aigora. - I challenge you to a duel, Aigora. Three red rings appeared around Aigora, sealing him off from the others, who took a few steps back. - And unless you defeat me, you'll be sealed inside those Perfect Circles forever. Aigora grunted, then nodded. Nathaniel suddenly closed his eyes, and a pulse of blue energy erupted from him. When the pulse hit Aigora, the scream that filled the room was more terrifying than anything that ever had been heard before. Aigora fell to the floor of the Spirit Chamber, and began to breath heavily. Then, he realized something. He was breathing. He had fallen. He was alive again. Redemption City hospitalRoom 3201 - Susannah? Susannah? Susannah looked up. She had fallen asleep briefly, but was now fully awake and looking for whoever had said her name. It wasn't Abbi; she was still asleep. No, the voice had came from behind Abbi, on the other side of the bed. She walked over there; there was nothing. A gust of wind blew in from the window above Abbi's bed, and Susannah leaned over to close it. Then, she saw something. Something red. The split second afterwards, Isaac plunged in through the window, and landed at the end of Abbi's bed, just a few inches away from her feet. Then, he fell off the bed and landed on the floor next to it. Susannah gasped, then ran over to him. - Isaac? How did you get here? Isaac smiled. - Haven't you watched the news lately? There was a small TV in each room at the hospital; Isaac picked up the remote which lay next to Abbi and turned it on. Not surprisingly enough, it was a newscast. - This is Amanda Winters, reporting from Redemption City where a gigantic red serpent has appeared out of nowhere, and has been flying around across the city. We've been given reports that say this serpent is frequently disappearing, and then appearing again. Is this just a promotional event, or an odd discovery of an unknown species? We've been talking with Professor Jonathan Finch about this matter. Jonathan, are you th- Isaac turned it off. During the newscast, pictures and home-filmed videos had been shown of the giant dragon flying across the sky. Susannah just stared at the screen, then turned to Isaac. - That... thing was you? Isaac nodded. - I'm as surprised as you are, Suzie. After we went to Richard's house, everything just blacked out for me. When I woke up, I was somewhere in Europe, Ireland or whatever they call it. Anyway, Alex was there, and he wanted to duel me. He said something about an Avatar, I can't really remember, and the next thing I remember is flying across the Atlantic back here. So, what have you been doing? Abbi growled in her sleep, and opened her eyes. Isaac shrieked, and jumped backwards. Abbi gave him a strange look, and sat up. - Ah! She's waking up, Suzie! She's back! Susannah sighed, then grabbed Isaac's shoulder. - Isaac, shush. She woke up around midnight. I'll tell you all about it. Then, she began to explain what had happened since she had came to Jonah's house. Her sign-up at the tournament. Their first meeting with Rataval. Nathaniel. Cain. Roselia. It took a few minutes, but Susannah didn't leave anything out. Isaac deserved to know everything. When she was finished, Isaac sat down on Abbi's bed. Abbi had been listening eagerly as well, and looked at Susannah. - You always said your family was different, Suse. Guess you were right. Susannah smiled at Abbi. - Sure is, Abbi, but it's all been the last week really. Haven't I told you about my cousin, Jonah...

Umbra
Above America,April 26th Adam couldn't believe it. A split second ago, he had been standing in that apartment in the city he couldn't remember the name of; now he was flying faster than anything he had ever seen. He saw Washington pass beneath him in an instant; New York the minute later. And when they slowed down, he could barely see the city in the horizon. He couldn't understand what they were traveling inside; it was a large, golden orb that seemed to consist of light. The light twisted beneath Adam's feet, and made the long, white hair block his eyes. He constantly had to wipe it away from his eyes. But it was worth it. This travel had been the best thing he had ever experienced, much better than the ordinary, boring workdays at the Spire. Especially kitchen duties. Adam hated kitchen duties, even though it had been some years - well, at least a long time ago, it's impossible convert Wickspire Time to earthly hours without at least three computers to aid you - since he had been forced to do any kitchen duties. That was Gabriel's problem now. Adam looked ahead. The town that they were just approaching - master Seerra had called it Redemption City - was heading towards them at full speed, and soon they came to a halt on a tall rooftop. Just before they landed, Adam saw that there were a lot of people there. More than a hundred, at least. And they were all looking at the orb that now was about to crash on the roof of one of their skyscrapers. They landed gently on the roof, and he stepped out of the orb. Gabriel followed shortly after, and soon the orb began to alter it's appearance, until their master Rataval stood there, right in front of their eyes. He smiled, and looked around. - Looks like Seerra hasn't made it here yet. I always knew I was the faster one. Adam was just about to respond - “Sure you are, master, but shouldn't we look for Osiris?” - but was interrupted by a scream of panic from below. He looked at the sky behind Rataval, for that was where he saw something that almost blocked the sun. A long, brown-greenish serpent with thick scales and a dragon's head flew across the sky to the south of them, it's mouth grinning wide. It's eyes were large, as tall as Adam, and they were yellow like the eyes of a lizard. It hovered down until it was just a hundred feet above the ground, then he suddenly released an explosion of green light from his nostrils and mouth. Adam covered his eyes, but he heard tormented screams from the ground below them. Every now and then, he heard the sound of a large bonfire erupting from the street, which led to an even more tormented shout than before. Although having lived in the Wickspire for his entire life, there was some things that Adam couldn't handle. He removed one of his hands from his eyes, and saw that the serpent was gone. In it's place, Seerra stood on the rooftop, grinning wide. - That's for beating me to the goal, Rataval. Another hundred souls to the Nihility. Rataval shrugged. - Hundred souls is nothing to me, Seerra. Unless one of them were souls from the Old Days, I couldn't care less than if you had killed a fly. Redemption City HospitalApril 26th Susannah, Abigail, and Isaac just stared at the TV screen. They couldn't believe what they just had seen. There was another newscast from Redemption City - a debate on the red serpent and whether it should be locked up or not - but not soon after they had started to watch, the comet had appeared, and struck one of the Skyscraper's roofs. Susannah felt like she had seen that comet before somewhere, but she couldn't tell where. Then, disaster had struck. Another dragon, not with the delicate appearance of a member of the Pantheon, but with the ruthless aura of wickedness, had appeared. It had not said anything, just hovered down until it was barely a hundred feet above the ground. Then, everything had exploded, and the camera could only manage to display the half-torn body of the anchorwoman, Amanda Winters, being thrown towards it before the lens cracked and fell apart. Susannah sat down on the bed, next to Abbi. There had been at least a hundred people there, and now they were all... dead? Or worse, still alive, their bodies limp and tortured by the dragon's blast? She couldn't even understand the pain they must have been in. Isaac shivered, and sat down next to Susannah. - These people... They're dead because of me, Suzie. That dragon must have been one of the Dreadroot's people. They must have known that I came here. And they're looking for me, sis. It's my fault these people are dead. Red Sky CityApril 26th Mia ran down the streets. The Elemental Sages had told her that Jonah was somewhere down here, in Alex's house. Who knows what he could be up to? Mia sighed, then continued to run. She turned around a corner, and then she saw it. Alex's house, just where her senses had told her it was. She stopped, and took a deep breath. The house was on the other side of the street, but there was barely any traffic, so she walked across the street. Suddenly, the roof of the house exploded, and a golden orb emerged from it. Roofpanes scattered all over the street, breaking windshields on some of the nearby cars and shattering at the asphalted road. Mia covered her head with her arms, and ran down to the house. The rain of roofparts stopped after a few seconds, and Mia looked at the orb that was now rapidly disappearing towards the horizon. Around it, she could see a vague but impenetrable darkness, and she suddenly knew what it was. It was the man that had called himself Rataval, the one that Jonah had called the Wicked Avatar. The man that almost killed both her and Jonah when they first met. Mia quickly opened the door - whoever had went through it the last time hadn't closed it properly - and ran up to the top floor. She suspected something, and when she saw who lived on the top floor, her suspicions were confirmed. The first apartment had the name Regal printed on the nameplate on the door. The door was half-open, and Mia looked inside. The whole apartment was a mess, from top to bottom. Everything was covered in sawdust and old wood, and the giant hole in the roof told Mia what she needed to know. Rataval had taken Jonah from her, and she had no idea where her son - any of her sons, for that matter - was. She sat down outside the apartment, and cried. WickspireChamber 1418 Aigora and Nathaniel held each other's gaze for a few seconds, then nodded at each other. Nathaniel pulled out a long, blade-like metallic disk with strap-bands attached to the back of it from his robe, and threw it to Aigora. He grabbed it, and attached it to his left wrist. He nodded at Nathaniel. - Luckily for me, the Tormentor's Blood runs strong in my veins. Strong enough to grant me the power to do this!He closed his eyes, and seemed to concentrate. Soon, the Duel Generator flashed in white, and a Deck materialized inside it. He smiled at Nathaniel. - You can go first, Nathaniel. Nathaniel nodded, then drew six cards. He smiled. - You should know, I change my deck according to my opponent. I never run the same deck twice during a month. But just like a chameleon, I can adapt myself to everything I encounter. Let's hope you can, Aigora. I'll summon Dark Crusader! (1600/800) As he spoke, a man with thick, black armor and a white skull-mask materialized in front of him. The man had a huge blade, which he leaned to the ground. - And with Dark Crusader's effect, I'll discard my Arcane Entity - Haures (2400/2000) and let Dark Crusader gain four hundred attack points! (2000/800) Nathaniel's hand and graveyard flashed in red, and the Crusader grinned. Nathaniel looked at Aigora. - Can you handle that, Tormentor? I end my turn with a face-down card. Aigora nodded, and drew six cards. - Indeed I can. I summon Doru'nil, the Scythe! (0/0) A large farmer's scythe appeared in the air in front of Aigora. Nathaniel laughed briefly, but looked at Aigora. - Keep it going. Aigora smiled. - When Doru'nil is summoned, and I don't have any other monsters, I can summon a Warrior from my hand, as long as it is Level 4 or lower, and equip it with Doru'nil. And I summon Paladin of the Long Night! (1800/1200) One of the cards in Aigora's hand started to glow, and a warrior with white steel armor and long, white hair emerged from it. - And then, thanks to Doru'nil, my Paladin gains four-hundred attack points! (2200/1200) But in turn, you have to attack him if you decide to attack. The paladin gripped Doru'nil in both of his hands, and looked at the Dark Crusader. Aigora nodded, and the paladin rushed forward to slice the Dark Crusader. Nathaniel smiled, but didn't do anything. The Dark Crusader fell to bits in front of him, and he fell to thirty-eight hundred Life Points. Aigora looked at him. - I'll end my turn with a face-down card. Your turn, Nathaniel. Nathaniel nodded, and drew a card. - First, I'll activate Dreadmill! I can draw 2 cards from my deck, as long as I discard 2 cards first. And I'll send Dimensional Prison and Dark Blade to the Graveyard. He drew two cards, and smiled. - And now, since I have Dark Crusader, Arcane Entity - Haures, and Dark Blade in my Graveyard, and no other monsters, I can summon Dark Armed Dragon! (2800/2600) Three ghosts emerged from Nathaniel's Graveyard, and it seemed like they were looking for something. Then, they looked up, and a great dragon emerged from thin air. The dragon was covered in thick, brown and dark scales, and from it's grand jaws Aigora could see smoke. - And then, I activate the Spell in my hand, Banished. With it, I can remove any one monster in the Graveyard, as long as it's attack points are two-thousand or lower. Suddenly, the three ghosts vanished, and was replaced with a purple storm that filled the air behind Nathaniel. - But no fear, because they won't be gone for long. But first, I activate the effect of Dark Armed Dragon. I can remove Arcane Entity - Haures and Dark Crusader in my Graveyard to destroy both your Paladin and that face-down card of yours. The dragon opened it's jaws, and a storm of purple light emitted from it. The storm hit Aigora's cards, which faded away into thin air. - And I'm not even done yet, Aigora. I activate the Spell Card, Dimension Fusion! With it, I can bring back every single monster that has been removed from play. A large, purple whirl appeared behind Nathaniel, and three creatures emerged from it; The Dark Crusader with the skull mask grinning at Aigora, another armored knight wielding a long sabre and spikes on his armor, and a large half-transparent shadow with a large, grinning mouth. The four creatures stared at Aigora, who stared at Nathaniel. - Plan to do anything this decade, Nathaniel? I can wait, but I don't really feel like it. Nathaniel smiled. - Then, I attack you with all of my monsters! Dark Armed Dragon, attack him directly! Aigora shook his head. - Guess I forgot to tell you something. Suddenly, Doru'nil emerged from the graveyard, and landed in front of Arcane Entity - Haures. The monster gripped the scythe, and the Dark Armed Dragon turned towards it. - When Doru'nil is destroyed, I can equip it to one of your monsters. And the same thing happens to it that happened to my Paladin. It gains four hundred attack points, but in turn, you have to attack it. The Dark Armed Dragon and the Arcane Entity looked at each other, then both of them released a grand roar that made the air around them shiver. The dragon released it's dark breath again, and Haures responded with a cloud of darkness that emerged from his mouth. The field exploded, and covered the field in a brilliant light. When the light faded, the Dark Armed Dragon and the Arcane Entity were both gone. Nathaniel glared at Aigora. - You won't win this, Aigora. Dark Blade and Dark Crusader attacks you directly. And then, I'll end my turn with two face-down cards. The two remaining warriors dashed ahead at Aigora, and slashed at him. His Life Points fell to six-hundred, and he took a deep, desperate breath. The purple whirl faded away behind Nathaniel. Aigora drew a card, and looked at him. - Don't be so sure, Nathaniel. I activate my Spell Card, Malice of the World. It allows me to send a Dark monster from my deck to my Graveyard, and draw a card. He drew a card from his deck, then selected another card from his deck and put it on top of his graveyard. - Then, I activate Gate of the Afterlife, a Field Spell Card. Once per turn, we can return a monster from the grave to our hand. The sight was impressive. Behind Aigora, two large gates appeared. On each side of them, a thick stone wall stretched out. Eric,Damon, Cain and Roselia hovered up above the wall - Eric had to carry Damon, since he had yet to believe that he could fly - and stood on top of the wall. Aigora continued. - And I choose the monster I just sent to the Graveyard, Hashaeirah, Warrior of the Long Night! And with his effect, I can summon him! (2000/1800) The gate opened behind Aigora, and a muscular knight with dark half-plate armor walked out of it. He walked past Aigora, and stopped in front of him. Aigora smiled. - And with his other effect, I can select an equip card in my deck and equip it to a monster. And I choose Nitro Unit! Hashaeirah flicked his blade, and a set of explosives appeared around the Dark Crusader all of a sudden. - Hashaeirah, attack his Dark Crusader! Hashaeirah raised his blade at the Crusader, and charged ahead. The Crusader, still confused at the random appearance of the explosives, couldn't defend himself and was just about to be slashed open when a blue barrier appeared around him. Nathaniel smiled. - Your eagerness shall be the death of your world, Aigora. You was so eager to break my offense that you did not see my defense. Activate face-down card, Spirit Barrier! Whenever you attack, I can make it a direct attack to my Life Points instead. And along with that, I activate my other trap, Magic Cylinder! I can negate your attack, and you take the damage that I should have taken. A purple cylinder appeared in front of Hashaeirah, which he threw his longsword into. Another, smaller cylinder appeared behind Aigora, and the sword thrust him in the back. He fell down, and saw his Life Points fall to zero. Then, he started to drift upwards, and his Duel Generator fell through his arm. The deck that he had created faded away. He was a spirit again. The large gate had faded away, and the four spirits that had watched him duel drifted down. Cain patted his brother's shoulder. - You did your best, Aigora. Nathaniel is surely a strong nemesis. Aigora nodded at Cain, then stared at Nathaniel, who was already walking away. He shouted after him. - Nathaniel! There is nothing you can do! Even though you might possess the Tormentor, you need the other gods as well! Nathaniel froze, and turned towards Aigora. - I know, Aigora. But the thing is, we already have all of the gods. As we speak, the Eraser is on his way to capture Osiris, and here... He pulled out a golden chain from his robe, with a pendant attached to it. - ...we have Ra. Soon, the Pantheon will be under our control. Behind Aigora, Cain and Roselia stared at the Amulet. Roselia nodded at Cain, who nodded back. Roselia smiled, then rushed through the air towards Nathaniel. Then, she grabbed the Amulet in Nathaniel's hand, and pulled. Much to Nathaniel's surprise, he felt a strain. He stared at Roselia. - What... What are you! Roselia smiled. - I am the Lady of Roses, daughter of Ra. And now, my mother awaits her daughter to be given her heritage. She pulled the chain towards her, but Nathaniel held it in a tight grip. Cain rushed forward through the air, and grabbed the Amulet itself. Or tried to, at least, his hand fell right through it. Roselia's hand showed however no intention of letting it go, and Nathaniel smiled. - The daughter of Ra... Interesting. However, while Ra is still alive herself, your soul matters less than an illegitimate heir of the Tormentor. Roselia frowned, and let go of one of her hands. - Don't you ever dare say that to me again! She swung her arm forward rapidly, and punched Nathaniel in the face. Nathaniel staggered backwards, pulling the Amulet's chain with it. Roselia, now violently being plunged forward, lost her grip of the chain about the same time as Nathaniel. The golden chain flew out through the open doorway, across the wide spiral staircase, and through an open door on the other side of the room. No one moved. Everything that could be heard from the other room was a silent plop. Nathaniel froze. - It fell into the Pool! He dashed out through the doorway, and it slammed shut behind him. Cain looked at Roselia, who lay on her stomach on the floor in front of them. She rose from the ground, hovering up to them. Eric could see that she was crying, tears falling through her immaterial body. She hovered up to Cain, and he hugged her. - I was so close, Cain. I even touched it... Cain patted her on the back. - I know, Roselia. We were closer today than ever before. Then, he whispered something in her ear that neither Eric or Aigora could hear. Roselia nodded at him. - I know, darling, I know. But meeting Mother again... I was just so keen on finally seeing her. Eric almost began to cry himself, and turned to Aigora. He saw that Aigora was crying as well. Both of them hovered up to Roselia, and stood next to her and Cain. Roselia sniffed, then looked at Aigora. - I suppose we should be going... If that Pool that Nathaniel mentioned is what I think it is, the Amulet could be anywhere. Eric frowned. - What is it, then? The Pool? Roselia nodded. - I've only heard stories of it, but they say that the Pool of Delaime is a multidimensional gate which can take you anywhere in the Multiverse. However, to control it, you need the Amulet of Delaime, which was stolen from the gatekeeper Charon by Rataval. Now that the Amulet wasn't in effect, the gate could lead anywhere. WickspireRoom of Delaime Nathaniel stared down into the pool. The water shimmered slightly, in the same shade of bright purple as usual. Yet, there was a slight trace of golden light, remaining there. He knelt beside the pool, and stretched down his hand into it. As soon as his hand touched the surface, the golden light disappeared. He lifted his hand, and the light appeared again. Nathaniel spat at the pool. Ra was mocking him, from wherever she was. The voice of Gorefiend spoke to him. - What should we do, Nathaniel? The Dreadroot will not be glad about this. Nathaniel rose to his feet, and nodded. - It might be so, but I can just hope that the lockdown of Kyaran in the Spirit Chamber will overshadow the loss of Ra. Gorefiend mumbled something. - You can hope, Nathaniel. You can hope. Redemption City hospitalApril 26th Susannah helped Abigail out of her bed. Abbi was still frail after her long coma, but was strong enough to stand up. She had closed her fist, and seemed almost dreamy. Her eyes were closed, but yet she seemed like she saw something. Isaac was still shivering from the horrible sight on the TV, and looked out the window. - They're out there somewhere, Suse, and they know I'm here. They are looking for me. Susannah frowned. - At least get away from the window, Isaac. Perhaps they'll see you from there. Isaac immediately took a few steps back. Abigail, half-sitting in her bed, rose to her feet and adjusted her blouse. She turned her head towards the window. - We need to find that dragon. Susannah gasped. - What?! Abbi nodded at her, eyes still closed. - That dragon holds the key to releasing the mind of Eric Morae, and banishing the Dreadroot's forces from this world. Susannah stared at Abbi; Isaac turned his head. Susannah spoke. - What? Abbi nodded. - And that's what you want, isn't it? She opened her eyes, and Susannah took a few shocked steps back. Abbi's eyes were glowing with a golden light. Around her iris, Susannah saw thin golden lines. She shivered. - Abbi... What's going on? Abbi shook her head. - I am not the Abbi you know. I am Ra, the Golden Dragon, sister of Osiris. She opened her closed fist, and revealed a small pendant, attached to a golden chain. In the middle of the pendant, there was a depiction of an eye. - These are the last remains of earthen body, but I shall live again. Isaac walked up to Abbi. She looked at him, and so did Susannah. Isaac's eyes were glowing with a distinct crimson light, and his skin was rapidly changing to the same colour. When he spoke, it was with an aura of deep, ancient mystique. - Ra... Sister... Abbi stared at him. - Osiris? Is that you? Isaac nodded. - This boy holds my soul in this world. And it seems that this girl, that is called Abigail, holds your soul. Abbi nodded, but looked sad. - I can not take my true form until my body and soul has been united. She held up the Amulet to Isaac. He looked at it, and nodded. Abbi shook the Amulet gently, and Susannah could hear something fall around inside it, like sand. Isaac spoke. - And you know, Ra, that the Amulet can not be opened here. Abbi nodded. - I know. Only at the Beacon, a Phoenix can be born anew.

Umbra
Very' date=' VERY nice chapter, though I did spot some minor errors.[/quote'] Please, if anyone spots any errors, tell me. Also, due to a final thought of mine, I'm closing down the website. But since a Red Sky Chronicle was up there, I'll post that Chronicle here. [spoiler=Red Sky Chronicle - Angel] Warning: A scene of this Chronicle contains events that might be inappropriate for people under the age of fifteen. Eredria City, the world of Terra Magna Ancient Time Jonathan Geinon leaned towards the wall. The sun was just about to set infront of him, and he had came down to see it. The two stars which Terra Magna circulated around provided a great double sunset about every once in a week. It was a spectacular thing to see, but today was an ordinary day, and an ordinary sunset. Jonathan knew that he was supposed to be home in a few hours, but even though he lived on the other side of the city, he had came to the South Beach to look at the sunset. It reminded him of all the memories that he had. Memories of his earliest years at school. Memories of his family. There wasn't much left, now. Not after the Tormentor's Palace had fallen the year before. Not after the Dreadroot had taken control. Nowadays, every city had their Priest of Dread, and Eredria was no exception. Every day someone would step out of the Tormentor's light and into the path of the Dread, where Jonathan knew that only death awaited. That's what had happened with his oldest brother, Michael. One day he joined the Dread. Jonathan's parents had told their oldest son that it was too dangerous, but Michael just wouldn't listen. He said that he had heard his true calling. That this was meant to be. He fled the house, and lived with the Church of Dread. A week later, he was found dead. Impaled on the rooftop of a church on the outskirts of the city. Jonathan couldn't believe it, and his parents just couldn't bare to think about it. They had turned inwards, forcing themselves to a life of complete ignorance. Sometimes, when he looked in his mother's eyes, Jonathan thought that she didn't recognize him. She could see him, and she could hear him, but her voice was null and empty. It sounded like she was a machine. - Get off my house, punk! Jonathan looked up, and saw the face of an angry woman in her late forties, possibly early fifties, with short-cut, red hair, and a wrinkled face. Jonathan quickly jumped off the wall, and stood up. - Sorry, ma'am. Jonathan turned around and ran away from the woman's house. He heard her loud screaming, and countless of what his mother once called “language” that she had forbid Jonathan to use several years ago. Yet, like every child, Jonathan had indeed used “language”, and so had his friends. Not that many of them were left anymore now. Most of them had died, either by accident or murder. One of them was kidnapped, and wasn't found for long. It took two weeks before they found his remains scattered over the roof of an industrial building. The blood was everywhere. It was only himself and his oldest friend, Lucas Raellin, left. They had been friends since pre-school, and now, both at twelve years of age, their minds were almost identical. However, during the last few days, Lucas felt... different to Jonathan. He wasn't the same anymore. Jonathan stopped running outside a warehouse at the edge of the city. He saw that he had been running in the wrong direction; he would never be able to make it home before the appointed time now. Suddenly, he saw a flicker of movement to the left, and turned towards it. In a dark alley infront of him, something was moving. Jonathan gulped. He had heard the tales of the Darke Beaste that sometimes could be seen in the city after sunset, but he had never believed it until now. The something seemed to be almost as tall as Jonathan, and on it's back it had a pair of wings. Jonathan gulped again. The Darke Beaste infront of him was a Vampyre, he was sure of it. Soon, his life would end, just like his friends. And then, Lucas would be alone in this world. Both of his parents had been murdered about a month ago, and he lived at an orphanage. Jonathan suspected that they had been killed by the Dreadroot's worshipers, since both of Lucas' parents had been loyal Chaplains of the Tormentor even before they met, and were such until their last day. The Vampyre stepped closer to Jonathan, who took a few steps back. - Don't be afraid, Jonathan. Jonathan shivered. The Vampyre had spoken to him, and it knew his name! Jonathan raised his fists towards the Vampyre, who laughed briefly, with a laughter that cut through Jonathan's ears like the screech of a thousand seagulls. The Vampyre stepped out of the shadows of the alley, and smiled. Jonathan was surprised. It wasn't a Vampyre. It was... - Lucas? Lucas was wearing black clothes, a shabby vest and long, dress-like leggings. On his back, he wore a long, black cape that Jonathan had mistaken for wings. Jonathan smiled at him. - Why dressed like that, Luke? Scared the crap out of me, you did. Lucas smiled. - There's something I wanted to give you, Johnnie, and my master requires all bringers of this gift to wear the Robe. Jonathan became a little frightened of his childhood friend. - Who... who is your master? Lucas shook his head. - His true name can not be told to the Common, but he also goes by the name of Rataval. Jonathan became very frightened. Rataval was the name of the High Priest of the Dread in Terra Magna. - You've crossed over to the Dreadroot, Luke? Lucas nodded. - And now, I'm going to give you, Jonathan, the Dread's Gift. Will you join the Dreadroot, Jonathan Geinon? Jonathan stared at Lucas with eyes of anger. - You really think that, Lucas? They killed my brother! They killed Michael! * Lucas' eyes saddened. -I hoped you weren't going to say that, Jonathan. I really didn't want to give you the Dread's Other Gift, but I guess I have to. As he spoke, Lucas slowly pulled out a knife from the shabby vest. The edge was shaped like a crescent, but with a spiked edge so that the pain would last longer. Jonathan shrieked of fear, but couldn't move. He was struck with a horrible thought. - It was you, wasn't it? It was you that killed them. Martin, Aaron, Ted, Nathan, and even Roger? Lucas stopped for a split second, then nodded. - They too refused joining the Dread. They were special, just like you and me. All of us were heirs of the God that Fell. The Dread would want you to join his cause, but one after one, you all said no. Only I answered the true call. Only I could be the wanted one. I am the Angel of Judgment, Jonathan, and I shall give you what you deserve! Then, he swung the dagger at Jonathan, who was still paralyzed from fear. It ran through his waist, crushed his spine and internal organs, and when the edge came out on the other side, it had a piece of gut halfway through it. Jonathan fell to the ground, and began to cough. Blood came through his throat, but he didn't feel it. His spine was crushed, split in half. He was already dead when the blood leaked out of his open mouth. Lucas looked for a few seconds at the childhood friend that lay infront of him. Only for a second did he regret his deeds. Then, he turned around and walked back into the alley, where his master awaited him. Rataval smiled. Using the boy as a weapon to get rid of the Tormentor's illegitimate heirs was an excellent idea. He would have no blood on his hands, and a loyal servant for later use. He knew that the true Heirs of the Tormentor were a much larger threat, but the illegitimate could arise and become a threat one day. This boy, Lucas, was the last of them, but Rataval had no intention to kill him. He reminded him of his own son, Ha Des, that ruled a world close to the Wickspire, when he was just a boy. The mother was long dead; she had been but a mortal, and Rataval couldn't let her live. He had memories of her, but her name was not one of them. He shrugged. It didn't matter now. Soon, the Tormentor's Bloodline would be at end, and the Dreadroot would rule the Multiverse. Rataval looked down on the twelve-year old boy that stood infront of him, with the ceremonial dagger tightly held in his right hand. He smiled. The boy would indeed become a masterful weapon. Lucas looked up at his master, Rataval. Killing Jonathan with a single blow had been the final Initiation test, and he was eager for more orders. Rataval looked content, but Lucas knew not to ask. He had ended up with a broken left arm and leg last time he had asked. It had still not healed up properly, since Rataval wouldn't allow him to visit the healers for a week after that. Rataval smiled at Lucas. - Boy, you are now a fully-fledged agent of the Dread. What is your full name? Lucas stretched out. - Lucas Raellin, master Rataval. Rataval shook his head in disappointment. - Not anymore. An Agent of the Dread needs a better name. A name infused with the power of darkness. As he spoke, a dark fog drifted out of the long arms on Rataval's shirt, and covered Lucas in a few seconds. Lucas took a deep breath before it covered his mouth, but the fog came in through his ears and nose until it filled up his lungs. Then, he was forced to exhale, and the fog flew in through his mouth like a running river in the spring. Lucas felt like his chest was going to explode, but he didn't say anything. Rataval smiled. - Your new name, Lucas Raellin, is... He took a deep breath. - Isiah Helghast! The fog turned black instantly, and Lucas lifted off the ground. Then, he saw it. Rataval's appearance changed. For a split second, he turned into a dark orb, glowing in the alley. Behind him, Lucas saw a large shape covered in bone armour and with giant horns on his head. Then, Lucas memories began to alter themselves, turning into the memories that Rataval wanted them to be. He was no longer Lucas Raellin. He was Isiah, the Angel of Judgment and Agent of the Dread. His eyes were full of darkness as he looked upon Rataval, who now had the body Isiah had seen before. - What do you want me to do, Master Rataval? Rataval smiled at Isiah. - I will take you to a new place, Isiah. You will spend six years there, and you will take care of a young girl, only a year younger than you. Her name is Shiki Tonoma, and she will become an excellent servant once she meets you. Isiah nodded. - Whatever you wish, master. Whatever you wish. Earth Hokkaido, Japan October 21st, 2002 Shiki glared at her brother, sitting on the other seat of the family's car. Her mother was driving, and her father sat in the seat next to her. Shoji, her two years younger brother, had annoyed her during the entire trip. They had been in the car for almost three hours, but soon they would come to Grandma's house. Grandpa had died of old age a few years ago, and Shiki had cried for weeks when her mother told her. She wouldn't even go to school, and had to be forced there by her parents. Now, she was eleven years old and wouldn't do such a childish thing again. She could hear her father mumble about something, and her mother answer. BANG! A large orb of purple light appeared infront of the car, and Shiki's mother screamed and hit the brakes as hard as she could. The car was sliding for at least ten feet until it stopped, just a few inches away from the orb of light. Shiki had never seen anything so beautiful in her entire life, and quickly took of her seatbelt and jumped out of the car. Her mother yelled at her, but Shiki couldn't hear. She was hypnotized by the orb; it's dancing lights made her both dizzy and amazed at the same time. She stepped closer to the orb. She could see her mother running up to her from her left, but she didn't care. All she wanted was the orb. Then, the orb flashed in purple, and Shiki was gone, just a feet from her mother's arms. All that was left of her was one of her shoes, that she hadn't worn properly and had fell off when the flash came. Shiki's mother looked at the orb, but it was gone. She fell to her knees and cried, screamed, begged to have her child back. But Rataval's orb was long gone. North America Red Sky City October 20th, 2002 Isiah and Shiki stepped out of the orb, and took their first steps on the new continent. Rataval, who still was inside the orb, nodded at them. - You shall go to the house of Charles Regal, to the north of here. He is a loyal servant of the Dread, and he will help you here. Shiki, who only spoke a few words of English, but was quite good at understanding, nodded at Rataval. Isiah did the same, and they walked away from the orb. - Remember, Isiah. Six years from now, I will come back and give you further instructions. Isiah nodded at Rataval, and he and Shiki walked off into the city. Guest Ixigo
Ho boy. Went through the whole story from chapter 1 - neccessary since I had forgotten much. This is turning into quite the epic, with masterfully handled plots and twists. The background depth is astounding for a fan fiction. Unfortunately commenting on each chapter like I used to will be rather impractical and time-consuming with so many new chapters, but there's not much to take note of. Not only was the quality top-notch to begin with, it has also been improving as the story progresses. Do keep it up. But it's too bad you closed the site, it was more comfortable reading there.
