Calling Touhou overrated is a bit of a joke, seeing as how it's indie game and thus doesn't have quite so large a fanbase as one might think.

 

It's just that the fans it does have are very devoted. Besides, it's a character-driven series, not a gameplay-driven one. You won't get much appreciation for it by just playing it.

 

Especially since it's batshit hard.
