Just seen the first episode, pretty amazing for what it is. I'd rather watch the rest than sit here talking to you guys about it though, so I'll go back. <3

Watched the first 7 episodes, Marly told me it was a One Piece ripoff so I stopped. But from the first 7 episodes it was pretty good. I tried to pick up the manga again, but imo the anime version was better.

 

I may start watching it again, depending on how soon I finish the 12 series I'm currently working on.

It's no way of being a One Piece rip off even though it's from the same animators of One Piece.

Okay, let me settle this. Oda and Mashima were born in a generation where Dragonball was the hit manga, and it affected them equally. The issue has been dealt with, and it makes even little sense to call it a One Piece rip-off. Using the anime as a way of calling it a One Piece rip-off isn't good evidence either, since both are manga first.

 

Now that that's out of the way, I love this series. I like Rave more, but this is just great. My favorite have to be Gray, and though I might be stoned for this, Gérard.

 

The anime is nice, but I feel it was kind of dumbed down and has just way too much stock footage.

Like Roxas says. IMO, Rave pwn'd this series. Rave is more funny and more action oriented than Fairy Tails. But in term of drama, Fairy Tails is more better than Rave.

You can't really compare the two because Fairy tail, as a series, is still young; Fairy Tail hasn't even broke 190 chapters, and Rave has almost 300.

I've recently picked up on reading Fairy Tail, and I've got to say I like the series. I'm not too fond of how Natsu solves everything by punching it or breathing fire on it until it breaks, but I guess I'm just not that kind of person. Lucy and her spirits make a far more interesting team, and Gray's backstory is far more interesting.

 

And I'm also a Gérard fan. :3

I've read 2 chapters so far and I've liked what I read.

 

And yea, it felt a lot like One Piece. I know they are different, but the feeling I had when I read the first two chapters was a lot like what I feel when I read One Piece.

 

Also I made a thread on this a few months ago. I love how in 3 months, I've only read 2 chapters.

@usetheforcehan: I was shocked waaay before when I heard about 5 people speaking in Indonesian on here a long while ago. I forgot what provoked them to do so, but it was awesome. Though, I was raised as an Indonesian, but I'm only a quarter percent since Iraq and the Dutch took over.

So, I finally started reading it. Started 3 days ago and I'm about to start 110. As you can tell, I've been enjoying it.

 

And some things REALLY are like One Piece. The whole Fighting Festival arc makes me think of the Skypiea arc. Both had around 80 battles, both had the main antagonist that use lightning attacks, both antagonists had 3 underlings (Enel had 4, but one was defeated before the games started), and both had the main protagonist removed for a time.

 

Also Lucy's measurements are a lot like Nami's.

 

Edit: Yea, just finished it. Took me 5 day :). It's really good, and I'm really happy to have another series to read.

Anyway, latest chapter (190) was incredibly epic!! Natsu, Wendy, and Vegeta Gajeel/Gazille against a mecha dragon thingy. Gajeel so far is my definite favorite simply because he reminds me of Vegeta, but in a positive way.

Well Gazille hasn't had much of a chance to fight. I mean his fight with the cat had only small bits shown. The final fight of the arc should show off his badassness.

have not started reading manga(if i want to i'll just go find some manga site o wait this site has both Anime and Manga all in one XD).

 

Anime: Awesome i don't get the One piece(though i have not watched that must of it). Wish everything could just be solved by punching and burning every thing until it breaks :D that would make things easy. Or better yet Hire Natsu, Gray, and Erza to find a random villian in schools and the schools will than be nothing but rumble XD
